Star Wars Actor, Alan Harris, Has Passed Away

Some unfortunate news from the entertainment industry. Actor Alan Harris, 81, passed away this week. Alan is most famous in the Star Wars community for playing the bounty hunter, Bossk. Even though Bossk made his first appearance in Empire Strikes Back, Alan had the honor of acting in all three of the original Star Wars films.

He appeared as both a member of Princess Leia’s Rebel escort and as a ship mechanic in A New Hope. To the shock of some Star Wars fans, Alan did more did more for Empire Strikes Back besides featuring as an alien bounty hunter. Alan Harris served as the body model for Han Solo when he was trapped frozen in carbonite. He was also the model for Boba Fett in Mandalorian body armor.

Alan Harris worked as a stand-in for not only Return of the Jedi, but also for The Phantom Menace. He was beloved among fans who attend the comic convention circuit. Alan often shared his tales of working on the set of these Star Wars films.

His family and friends are paying their respects to Alan Harris. We’re sure Alan’s fans will also honor his legacy.

New Concierge Staterooms Coming to the Disney Magic

12 staterooms on Disney Cruise Line‘s ship, the Disney Magic, are being converted into Category V, Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah accommodations. These rooms will be upgraded by the October 2, 2020 sailing.

The stateroom numbers are: 8026, 8028, 8036, 8038, 8040, 8042, 8526, 8528, 8536, 8538, 8540, 8542.

Reservations made for those staterooms for sailings prior to October 2 will remain as Category 4A, Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. For sailings October 2 and beyond will be the new Category V, Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah.

Concierge Guest Services will be reaching out to Guests and Travel Partners with Guests booked in the affected staterooms for sailings October 2, 2020, and beyond to advise of the category change and review Concierge benefits.

Reservations can be made for these new staterooms now. Will you be sailing with Disney Cruise Line this year?

Super Bowl Celebrations set for Monday at Magic Kingdom

The best commercials of the year are awaiting on Sunday and, OH, there’s a football game too! The 49ers and the Chiefs will go head-to-head on Sunday to determine the NFL’s best team. An MVP will be chosen and there will be confetti… lots of confetti. After the Super Bowl, someone will proudly grin and shout, “I’m going to Disney World!”

Monday will be a day of celebrating and honoring the winner of Super Bowl LIV at the Magic Kingdom. One of the star players will be in attendance, the main honoree alongside Mickey and friends in the celebration parade. Curious as to what player that might be? Stay tuned after the big game to find out!

Festivities are to be streamed via #DisneyParksLIVE by Disney Parks Blog beginning around 2:40 p.m. but check their website for details and updates.

Preview For Disney’s “Mulan” Super Bowl Trailer Debuts

Super Bowl Sunday is almost here and you know what you’re most excited for…the commercials (while eating loads of delicious Super Bowl food, of course)! And we know we’re looking forward most to a full length trailer of Disney’s Live Action “Mulan” that will debut during the game.

However, you don’t have to wait until Sunday for all of the fun! We now have access to a sneak peek of the trailer and it looks amazing! To see it for yourself, click here!

The sneak peek will air first during commercial breaks on Sunday with the full length trailer following soon after. You won’t want to miss out, though you guys get to see the sneak peek a bit early!

The preview captures some of the coolest parts of the movie! From arrows whizzing past Mulan’s head and barely dodging them to her flipping off of a horse, this movie looks seriously intense and we couldn’t be more excited about it!

Stay tuned on Super Bowl Sunday for the new full length trailer of Disney’s “Mulan” and get ready for when it comes to theaters in the U.S. on March 27!

Magical Nighttime PhotoPass Moments Will Be Available Soon at Walt Disney World

Disney’s PhotoPass is the best way to get the whole family in the picture with some of the coolest backgrounds! The Disney PhotoPass service has been around for over 15 years now and is celebrating by adding a few fun limited-time nighttime Magic Shots through across all four Walt Disney World parks.

The new Magic Shots will be available from Feb. 1 to April 19, 2020. Just look out for these photographers as soon as the sun goes down because these are sure to be popular!

There will be one new Magic Shot available at each of the four parks’ most popular attractions. According to Disney Parks Blog, there will be Magic Shots in front of the Tree of Life on Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom, near the Once Upon a Time store on Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios, at the end of Main Street U.S.A. before the hub at Magic Kingdom, and at the main entrance of Epcot.

There will even be a special glass slipper Magic Shot in front of Cinderella’s Castle (at Magic Kingdom) for Valentine’s Day!

And don’t miss out on the other nighttime Magic Shots that are regularly available at the parks, such as the lantern photo-op near the Tangled restrooms in Magic Kingdom. From personal experience, this one is a cute one (pictured above)!

Disney Cruise Line to Increase Screening for Guests and Crew Due to Coronavirus

Disney Cruise Line guests and travel agents have started receiving emails with some important information regarding the coronavirus threat in advance of their cruise. Disney also recently released a revised Embarkation Heath questionnaire specifically asking about recent travel to China.

The email Disney Cruise Line has sent out reads as follows:

“At Disney Cruise Line, nothing is more important than the well-being of our guests and crew members. Therefore, we want to provide you with some important information in advance of your clients’ cruise vacation.

Due to the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China, the U.S. State Department has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory recommending no travel to China. Disney Cruise Line is carefully monitoring the latest information about this situation and is in close contact with local, state, national and international health agencies for information and guidance.

Disney Cruise Line, along with the other members of the Cruise Lines International Association, has further enhanced the screening process for guests and crew members boarding cruise ships. In an abundance of caution and given the unique environment of a cruise ship, guests and crew members who indicate they have traveled from or through mainland China in the past 14 days will not be able to board.

If your clients or a member of their stateroom party have traveled from or through mainland China or have been in direct physical contact (having cared for, lived with, or had direct contact) with someone who has a confirmed or suspected case of novel coronavirus within 14 days prior to the start of your cruise vacation, please contact us at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510.

Disney Cruise Line employs rigorous sanitation standards and consistently receives among the highest scores on public health inspections. We also have a comprehensive plan that outlines protocols for managing this type of situation and closely follow the guidance of public health officials. Steamboat Minnie Popcorn Bucket Coming to Disneyland

There’s a new popcorn bucket coming to Disneyland! Starting February 6, 2020, Disneyland Annual Passholders can purchase a popcorn bucket inspired by the beloved 1928 cartoon short, Steamboat Willie. They can also get refills for only $1.50 each through March 29, 2020.

Select popcorn locations throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will have these refillable Steamboat Minnie popcorn buckets for $20 (while supplies last).

Disney Releases New “Baby Yoda” Shoes and Life-Sized Figurine. Everyday it seems more and more The Child, aka “Baby Yoda”, merchandise becomes available and now you can get an all new pair of The Mandalorian inspired shoes as well as a life-sized replica figurine of the internets favorite Star Wars character, “Baby Yoda“.

Disney and Zazzle have partnered to bring a new pattern and shoe to Star Wars fans. The new pattern features “The Child” on a grey backdrop and come in both Men’s and Women’s sizes. “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History” Will Be Returning to Walt Disney World For a Limited Time

Have you missed strolling through Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom and seeing the classic show, “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History?” Well it’s coming back for a limited time, so don’t miss it!

From Feb. 15-17, Walt Disney World guests will be able to watch this Muppet-style-history-filled show at select times each day! Just head over to the Liberty Square Ticket Office (displayed on the My Disney Experience App) at 10:05, 10:45, and 11:35 a.m., and 12:15, 1:05, 1:40, 2:15, 4:10, 4:45, and 5:10 p.m., although these times could change.
