We are hearing rumors that Disney is going to be working on a Live-Action Rapunzel Movie!
According to the disinsider Ashleigh Powell (The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) is working on the script, and the movie will be produced by Michael De Luca (Moneyball, Captain Phillips) and Kristin Burr (Christopher Robin), who is also producing Disney’s Live-Action Cruella Movie.
Presently a search for a director is underway with casting right after.
There is no word wherein the Tangled timeline this movie will take place considering we have the Original Animated Movie, the Disney Channel sequel, and the television series.

Several new menu items were recently added to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort. They arrived when the Star Wars-themed land celebrated the grand opening of its Rise of the Resistance attraction. Today, we look at their new Black Spire Hot Chocolate.
You’ll find this hot beverage available at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. It costs $3.79 at this Star Wars-themed quick service location. The hot chocolate beverage is topped with a purple-colored brown sugar whip cream. The Black Spire Hot Chocolate is proving to be Instagram worthy! The purple whip cream gives it a fun appearance to make it look like the drink comes from a galaxy far, far away! It’s quite delicious and proving to be a hit among travelers.
The Walt Disney World location doesn’t have the same purple-colored hot chocolate. The Florida-based Galaxy’s Edge is currently selling a different version of hot chocolate. Instead of purple whip cream, their version is milk hot chocolate mixed with orange and spices to give a unique taste.

The new Disney Ink and Paint collection has been a SPLASH hit, and it just keeps getting better. There will even be an Ink and Paint Dooney Bourke Collection! This new collection is expected to hit shelves February 18th! The rest of the Ink and paint collection is also expected to debut then, as well as on shopDisney!
There four silhouettes to look forward to as part of this collection. There is also a limited edition MagicBand debuting as well. Each bag features the beautiful Ink and Paint design of sketched characters brushed with a swatch of color. Each bag is also trimmed in a sleek black leather.
You’ll find a large Tote, wristlet wallet, satchel, and crossbody all as part of this collection. There is no official word yet, but one of these four might also be an Annual Passholder bag.
Lastly we have a limited edition Dooney and Bourke MagicBand to look forward to! This band features the same coordinating print, and also a branded slider. The gorgeous band also comes in its very own collector’s box!

Universal Orlando is hiring! The company announced this week that they hiring for more than 1,500 positions in Orlando, Florida.
Universal Orlando currently consists of two theme parks, a waterpark, and several resorts. They also have the bustling Universal CityWalk with its stores and restaurants. They are looking for full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers to hire. Many of these theme park opportunities start out paying $13 per hour. They’re looking for candidates to work among attractions, food services, merchandise, warehouse, sales, and other team positions for their theme park roles. Lifeguards are needed at Universal’s Volcano Bay water park, too. Universal Orlando plans on announcing job fairs and specific hiring events soon.
The company is looking to fill full-time professional roles as well. It’s a perfect opportunity for those looking for a career change in finance, IT, marketing, sales, entertainment, and other fields. These salary roles do offer benefits.

Disney-Pixar’s ‘Onward’ Is Predicted To Have High Opening Weekend Box Office Numbers. According to Deadline, Disney-Pixar’s Onward is looking to bring in $44 Million during the course of its opening weekend in theaters. The film is set to release on Friday, March 6, 2020.
Many other predictions believe the film could bring in even more earnings, possibly upwards of $50 million, over opening weekend and will likely set a record for Pixar Animation Studios. Onward is also the first 1st quarter released film for the studio, with many Pixar films finding summer or holiday release dates.

Disney-Pixar‘s Onward is directed by Dan Scanlon and features the voices of Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The animated feature length film is set in a suburban fantasy world, where two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, embark on a quest to see if there’s still magic out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

harrison ford open to return as han solo in star wars episode 7
Harrison Ford Shares His Admiration For Returning To His Iconic Roles In New Interview. Indiana Jones and Star Wars star, Harrison Ford, is set to be featured in an interview with Sunday Morning on CBS tomorrow, February 16th. CBS has shared a highlight from the interview featuring Harrison Ford’s take on returning to his iconic roles such as Han Solo and Indiana Jones.
“Trying not to look silly. You know, and running around wearing the tight pants and knee high boots,” Ford jests.
He continued, “I’ll give you a more appropriate answer, considering that I am going to be starting doing Indiana Jones in about two months. I’m always delighted to come back to these characters. You know, when we have the opportunity to make another it’s because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure that our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started.”
Harrison went on to clarify his statement, “You have a sense of responsibility to your customers. I think of the people that go to my movies more as customers, then I do as fans. Fans feels kind of weird to me. Always has, but the fact that these people support my business and I am responsible to them for the quality of the service that I offer. That feels better to me.”

Construction Update: ‘TRON’ Coaster February 2020. The highly anticipated TRON Coaster is getting closer to completion! In January 2020, we witnessed walls going up around the attraction with what appears to be an interior portion of the attraction. The coaster upon completion, will be styled like the original attraction located in Disneyland Shanghai.

TRON Lightcycle is a rollercoaster ride attraction that will allow guests to board a train of two wheeled lightcycles for a thrilling race through the digital frontier and is expected to open in 2021 just in time for the parks 50th anniversary!

‘Big Top Souvenirs’ Reopens With New Carpeting After Flood Repairs. Earlier this year, Big Top Souvenirs in The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World closed abruptly with various reports of damages having been done to the interior. Fear first fueled rumors of a fire breaking out in the big top, but it was soon revealed a flood from a burst pipe was the cause of the damage and sudden closure of the popular shop in New Fantasyland.
We are happy to share that Big Top Souvenirs has now reopened, but this time, without the iconic circus tarp carpet patterned carpet. The circus tarp carpet has now been replaced with a more standard gray designed carpet. It is currently unknown if Disney will replace the carpet once again to its original theming.

Former WDW Cast Member Files Lawsuit after ‘Retaliation’ for Reporting Sexual Harassment. A former cast member who reportedly worked at The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant and Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has filed a lawsuit against the company after she claims she was wrongfully terminated due to retaliations for reporting sexual harassment from a supervisor and fellow staff.
The former cast member worked for the company between May and August 2018 before she was terminated for allegedly false accusations and retaliation from management for filing a sexual harassment complaint against her supervisor, claiming their was inappropriate and non-consensual touching as well as sexual and derogatory comments made towards her during her shifts with the company.
According to the report, she also claims her work schedule was changed without her knowledge in attempts to punish her as well as being improperly trained, causing her to make safety violations that were used to get her wrongfully terminated. She also claims she was falsely accused of drug usage to assist in the termination.
The former Cast Member is looking for reimbursement for lost wages and benefits and awards for compensatory and punitive damages, reinstatement, according to the court documents.

Starting this weekend, the remaining areas in the center of Future World will be closing as part of the all-new transformation of Epcot.
Areas closing include:
Electric Umbrella
Pin Central
and merchandise and outdoor vending carts.
As part of these Future World closures, Guests traveling through Epcot will be able to use one of the new park passageways.
This includes the existing Future World West passage near The Seas and a new Future World East passage, opening Feb. 16th, which runs adjacent to the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind construction site.
With the closure of the Electric Umbrella, other locations throughout the park will be available to provide quick-service dining including:
Eats at the Epcot Experience – featuring a newly expanded menu of flatbreads, chicken nuggets, and salads
Sunshine Seasons – now will feature burgers

Marvel’s ‘Eternals‘ Will Feature First Openly Gay Couple With A Family in the MCU. Though other characters and heroes, such as Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok, have been confirmed as gay off-screen so far by Marvel Studios, Marvel will soon feature the first openly gay character on-screen who will be married and have already started a family. The character Phastos, as played by Brian Tyree Henry, will be the first openly gay superhero to be featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Actor Haaz Sleiman shared the news with LOGO’s NewNowNext.“I just shot a Marvel film with the first openly gay superhero, Eternals. I’m married to the gay superhero Phastos, played by Atlanta’s Brian Tyree Henry, and we represent a gay family and have a child.”

Sleiman was asked if the film will feature an intimate moment between Phastos and his husband, confirming that the couple shares an on screen kiss in the film. “Oh, yeah, absolutely, and it’s a beautiful, very moving kiss. Everyone cried on set,” Sleiman explained. “For me it’s very important to show how loving and beautiful a queer family can be. Brian Tyree Henry is such a tremendous actor and brought so much beauty into this part, and at one point I saw a child in his eyes, and I think it’s important for the world to be reminded that we in the queer community were all children at one point. We forget that because we’re always depicted as sexual or rebellious. We forget to connect on that human part.”
Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer, Kevin Feige, has previously stated the success of other diversity driven films such as Black Panther and Captain Marvel have helped boost the notion that other stories featuring unique storylines and characteristics are worth exploring in the MCU and hopes to continue doing so in the future.

“Every time we do a movie, we hope it’s going to succeed so that we can make another movie. That’s always the idea,” Feige said at CCXP last year. “And with those two films in particular, Black Panther and Captain Marvel, we wanted to keep showcasing heroes from the comics that represent the world that goes to see our movies. So our intention was always to continue to do that. What’s exciting is that both those movies were such big hits that it squashed any sort of question otherwise, and I hope — and I think — it inspired other companies around the world to do the same thing and tell those different types of stories.”
Eternals will also be the first film in the MCU to feature an official deaf superhero, Makkari, played by Lauren Ridloof (The Walking Dead). We can’t wait to see what other ‘firsts’ are in store for the studio. Marvel’s Eternals is set to premiere in theaters November 6, 2020. Phineas and Ferb Agent P’s Epcot World Showcase Adventure will close on February 17th, 2020 to make way for the new Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure.
Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure invites guests to join Scrooge McDuck, Donald, nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Launchpad and Webby in search of priceless treasure. Using the Play Disney Parks mobile app, guests take a trip around World Showcase discovering exotic destinations, exciting mysteries, and maybe even a few thieves, villains and supernatural guardians of ancient artifacts. This will be the next iteration of a popular interactive scavenger hunt around World Showcase guests have enjoyed for years as they experience the magic of possibility at Epcot.
An opening date for Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure has yet to be determined.
