United Kingdom Minnie Ears

United Kingdom Minnie Ears

The United Kingdom Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is a beautiful spot of British culture. To celebrate this gorgeous pavillion you can now find United Kingdom Minnie Ears. There is also an assortment of Disney UK inspired merchandise.

United Kingdom Minnie Ears

The new Minnie ears are adorned with blue and white rose buds. They are then topped off with a golden crown! To finish off the British inspired look there is a UK flag bow tucked behind the gold crown. I think these are my favorite floral ears that Disney has released so far!

In addition to the lovely ears, you can also find other royal treasures at the pavilion including apparel, drinkware and accessories. You can look your positively Minnie best with a floral UK Minnie tee, and floral Union Jack skirt! You can finish off that look with a red double decker bus hip pack too!

For drinkware there is a stainless steel tumbler, and a phone booth mug! The blue stainless steel tumbler features line designs of iconic UK landmarks, as well as a few cut pops of Minnie and Mickey. The mug is a figural mug shaped like a phone booth, and showcases Mickey smiling while having a chat.

Stars of The Call of the Wild say film is timeless, inspiring, and wild!

The 20th Century Studios and the Walt Disney Studios brings “The Call of the Wild“, an American classic novel, to life in an epic tale for audiences. We were lucky enough to hear from some of the people that made this timeless and inspiring film possible.

Harrison Ford, who plays John Thornton, remembers how he read the famous John London novel when he was in high school. Although he was familiar with the story, it didn’t resonate with him in his teens. In taking this role, Ford explained how he always tried to choose roles with value. He feels like he can relate a lot to his character by saying that Thornton is an “edited me”.

Next, we heard from actress Cara Gee. Gee portrays Francoise in the feature. For preparation, Gee said she worked with a cultural adviser and even became a certified scuba diver. She describes Francoise as, “capable, driven, and determined to succeed”. Gee is also of indigenous descent and feels a sense of pride to bring the culture to light in this film.

Last, we heard from director, Chris Sanders. “The Call of the Wild” is Sanders’s live-action directing debut. Sanders comes with a background in animation. He went back to his animating roots and started developing some scenes with story boards. In developing Buck, however, that would be a bit more challenging. They scanned a lot of dogs to get realistic features to create Buck. Until, one day Sanders’s wife found a dog online that was in Kansas that she though was perfect! They came back home with Buckley and his image was used to portray Buck. To capture movements and an eye-line for the actors, fellow actor Terry Notary filled that role.

It’s safe to say, that all that hard work truly payed off!

The Call of the Wild debuts in theaters February 21, 2020.

Disney Confirms Emilio Estevez and Full Cast of Mighty Ducks Series coming to Disney+

Disney Confirms Emilio Estevez and Full Cast of Mighty Ducks Series coming to Disney+

Emilio Estevez is reprising his iconic role as beloved Coach Gordon Bombay in the new Disney+ original series “The Mighty Ducks.” Based on the ‘90s hit franchise, the 10-episode series will premiere later this year on the streaming service.  In addition to starring, Estevez will serve as an executive producer.

Disney Confirms Emilio Estevez and Full Cast of Mighty Ducks Series coming to Disney+

“Once a Duck, always a Duck!,” said Emilio Estevez, “and after 25 years, I am delighted to lace up my skates, put on Coach Bombay’s jacket and return to play the iconic character for this new chapter in ‘The Mighty Ducks’ franchise.  Likewise, I am thrilled to return to my old stomping grounds with my friends at Disney and Steve Brill, the original creator of the franchise, to join them on their exciting new platform, Disney+.”

“It was an easy decision to bring back the Quack Attack with a modern and fresh twist,” said Agnes Chu, senior vice president, Content, Disney+. “For a generation, ‘The Mighty Ducks’ stood for teamwork, friendship, and heart and we’re excited to see the Ducks fly together once again and bring the franchise to new audiences around the world.  We are thrilled to have Emilio Estevez reprising his iconic role.”

Disney Confirms Emilio Estevez and Full Cast of Mighty Ducks Series coming to Disney+

Estevez will join previously announced series regulars Lauren Graham and Brady Noon. Also joining the cast are Swayam Bhatia, Taegen Burns, Julee Cerda, Bella Higginbotham, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Maxwell Simkins and De’Jon Watts.

In present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan (Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex (Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of competitive youth sports. With the help of Gordon Bombay (Estevez), they discover the joys of playing just for the love of the game.

Emilio Estevez is a multi-hyphenate actor-writer-director-producer who recently created the film, “The Public,” which premiered at TIFF in 2018. That marked his fourth invitation to the festival, previously for the films, “The War at Home,” “Bobby,” and “The Way.”  Estevez has established himself not only as an accomplished actor, but also as a talented writer, director and producer. In 2006, he wrote, directed and co-starred in “Bobby,” which was nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award.  He made his acting debut in Tim Hunter’s “Tex” and appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s ensemble drama “The Outsiders,” both based on S.E. Hinton novels.  Estevez’ performance as a quintessential high-school jock in John Hughes’ “The Breakfast Club” won him widespread attention and acclaim.  Later that same year, he went on to appear in “St. Elmo’s Fire” before starring in “That Was Then, This Is Now,” for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 1996, Estevez directed Martin Sheen for the first time in the Vietnam drama “The War at Home” which Emilio also starred in and produced.   Other film credits include, “Repo Man” “Mission: Impossible,” and the “Stakeout, “Young Guns” and “The Mighty Ducks” franchise movies.  Estevez is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment.

“The Mighty Ducks” is produced by ABC Signature Studios, a part of Disney Television Studios.  Steve Brill, the original creator, writer and executive producer of all three films, which spawned an NHL franchise, is back as co-creator and executive producer of the new series.  Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (“The King of Queens,” “13 Going On 30”), are co-creators and will serve as showrunners.  Emilio Estevez, James Griffiths and Michael Spiller will serve as executive producers with Griffiths directing.  Lauren Graham is co-executive producer.  George Heller and Brad Petrigala of Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Jordan Kerner also serve as non-writing executive producers.
