Remy’s topiary is in the France Pavilion of World Showcase. He’s holding a wooden cooking spoon while standing on top of a wheel of cheese. He certainly is a star attraction for this festival! Remy is a great topiary choice for the France Pavilion since he idolizes the food and culture of Paris. Pixar fans cherish the Ratatouille film and it’s great to see Remy featured more in Disney Parks.

The ride is will take guests for a ride in what it feels like being a mouse and living from Remy’s POV (point-of-view) while scurrying around a French kitchen.

The Flower and Garden Festival runs from March 4th to June 1st, 2020. You can find Remy’s topiary and a wide variety of other Disney-Pixar character topiaries at Epcot during this festival! Tell us which character topiary is your favorite if you go to the Flower and Garden Festival.

New Star Wars And Disney Pillow Pets For Cozy Cuddles

We were so excited to see one of our favorite brands at Toy Fair New York, Pillow Pets! It looks like they have some fun new Star Wars and Disney Pillow Pets coming soon too. In addition to cuddly Pillow Pets, we can also expect new Sleeptime Lites too!

Disney Pillow Pets

My favorite reveal comes as no surprise, as Monsters Inc.! I’m obsessed with all things Mike and Sulley, and was so delighted to see this pair previewed. Mike is also a different shape than the traditional Pillow Pets! I love that this detail was done, because it really adds more magic to the character design.

New Star Wars And Disney Pillow Pets For Cozy Cuddles

We can also look forward to new Star Wars designs! Chewbacca is extra cuddly and fuzzy, and is already available online! We can also look forward to R2-D2 soon as a Sleeptime Litet! The R2-D2 light looks just like the top of oru favorite beep booping Droid!

Another new friend to the Sleeptime Lite collection, is Olaf! He’s a delightful pillow, that also adds colorful lights to sleeptime. He’s available for warm hugs online now! One of my favorite Sleeptime Lite features, is that the light automatically shuts off after 20 minutes.

In addition to these fun new reveals, there are also plenty of Disney and Pixar designs to choose from! I got to see the Pua Pillow Pet, and he was extra cute too. Of course the classic Mickey and Minnie are available, and there is even Jumboz, which are extra large Pillow pet pals! Recent Price Increases Across Walt Disney World Resort

Recent Price Increases Across Walt Disney World Resort

Disney recently increased pricing on multiple offerings across the Walt Disney World Resort from park tickets to VIP tours. It seems to be an annual thing for Disney to raise their prices and we’ve got the breakdown on all the recent increases.

Walt Disney World Tickets

Certain theme park tickets received a price increase for 2020. The Park Hopper option (which allows you to visit multiple parks in one day) now costs more than ever before to add to your park ticket. The Park Hopper Plus option (which allows you to visit multiple parks in one day as well as options like water park admission, mini-golf, or ESPN Wide World of Sports) also increased in price. There is also a new type of ticket add-on: the Water Park and Sports add-on (allows guests to visit one park per day plus enjoy a certain number of water park visits or other sports-related fun) which is an additional price.

Here are the prices for Walt Disney World tickets in 2020:

  • Park Hopper add-ons now cost an additional $65 per ticket for 1-day tickets, $75 per ticket for 2 to 3-day tickets, and $85 per ticket for 4 to 10-day tickets.
  • Park Hopper Plus add-ons now cost an additional $85 per ticket for 1-day tickets, $95 per ticket for 2 to 3-day tickets, and $105 per ticket for 4 to 10-day tickets.
  • The new Water Park and Sports add-on costs an additional $70 per ticket.

Walt Disney World Annual Passes

The Disney World Annual Passes received a price increase this year as well. There are many benefits of being a pass holder at Walt Disney World but it does come at a price.

  • Disney Platinum Plus Pass increased from $1,219 to $1,295
  • Disney Platinum Pass increased from $1,119 to $1,195

The Minnie Van transportation service at Walt Disney World is a convenient way to get around the resort but their prices increased this year as well. It costs $155 to travel to or from the Orlando airport and $249 to travel to or from Port Canaveral. The price of a Minnie Van ride anywhere throughout Walt Disney World Resort property varies depending on the distance, just like Lyft (although Minnie Vans are significantly pricier).

Character Dining Restaurants

Select character dining locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort have raised their prices for 2020. Character dining is a great option for those that don’t want to wait in long lines to meet their favorite characters. These meals do tend to be more expensive than other meals on property. Below is a list of the character dining meals that have increased in price by $1 per adult and around $3-4 per child:

  • The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom
  • Garden Grill at Epcot
  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot
  • Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Tusker House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  • Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
  • Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Storybook Dining at Artist’s Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Disney VIP Tours

VIP tours have always been a splurge item but this year they cost even more than they did before. Depending on the time of year, a private VIP tour for up to 10 guests can cost you as low as $425 per hour and as high as $750 per hour. If you have 11 guests (children under three count as a guest on the tour), you will need to pay double per hour, as that will require a second tour guide. The price varies depending on the season, so you can save more money by visiting during a less busy time of year.

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to keep in mind these new price increases and stay tuned to Chip&Co for all your Disney news!

Hilary Duff and Creator Terri Minsky Are Hoping ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot Is Moved From Disney+ to Hulu

Hilary Duff and Creator Terri Minsky Are Hoping ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot Is Moved From Disney+ to Hulu. A few weeks ago production was halted on the Lizzie McGuire reboot over creative differences between Disney and the series showrunner and creator, Terri Minsky. The story goes, Disney was not happy with the content of the series and felt it was “not family/kid friendly” like the original series, when both Minsky and the shows star, Hilary Duff wanted to portray a more grown up version of Lizzie McGuire in 2020.

The cast and crew had managed to finish two episodes before Disney stopped production and ordered a rewrite for the series, and reportedly “fired” Terri Minsky from the project over creative differences.

“I am so proud of the two episodes we did,” Minsky told Variety. “Hilary has a grasp of Lizzie McGuire at 30 that needs to be seen. It’s a wonderful thing to watch. I would love the show to exist, but ideally I would love it if it could be given that treatment of going to Hulu and doing the show that we were doing. That’s the part where I am completely in the dark. It’s important to me that this show was important to people. I felt like I wanted to do a show that was worthy of that kind of devotion.”

Despite production setbacks, Disney still seems to want to change the course of the series to be more kid/family friendly and keep the reboot on Disney+, but there is always the possibility the series could be moved to Hulu to keep on track with the more grown-up version of Lizzie.

“We paused production on ‘Lizzie McGuire’ a few weeks ago to allow time for some creative re-development,” a representative from Disney said. “Our goal is to resume production and to tell an authentic story that connects to the millions who are emotionally invested in the character, and a new generation of viewers too.”

Fans have been very upset by news of the delay and are worried that creative differences will prevent the reboot from ever being finished or streamed. We hope the studio, Minsky and the cast can all come to an agreeable solution and give fans a ‘Lizzie McGuire’ reboot worthy of the wait.
