If you’re looking to add some serious gold shimmer to your next park day, you’ve got to check out the latest finds at Animal Kingdom. We just spotted the brand-new Mickey and Minnie Gold Build Your Own Headband collection, and let’s just say, they are absolute showstoppers. While these shiny friends originally made a splash over at Disneyland, they’ve finally migrated East, and they are looking sharp!
These little guys follow the same sculpted shape we know and love from the original set, but they’ve traded in their classic colors for a stunning metallic gold fabric. The Mickey plush is all about the details, featuring clean embroidered facial features and a bowtie that actually sparkles when the Florida sun hits it. Like the rest of the collection, he comes with that handy Velcro strap on the back so you can pop him onto your headband and swap him out whenever the mood strikes.
Of course, Minnie isn’t about to let Mickey have all the fun. She’s sporting that same gorgeous gold glow with her own embroidered features and a signature sparkly bow perched right between her ears. Kathryn Hahn Confirmed to Play Mother Gothel in Live-Action ‘Tangled’ Movie
It looks like mother knows best! Disney has officially confirmed that Kathryn Hahn will take on the role of the villainous Mother Gothel in the upcoming live-action reimagining of Tangled.
The news was shared through a collaborative social media post where Hahn sported a Mother Gothel shirt with the caption “OOTD, Mother Gothel.” Disney Studios followed up with a post of their own, making it official with the tagline, “You want her to be the bad guy? FINE.”
You want her to be the bad guy? FINE. Kathryn Hahn is Mother Gothel in Disney's live-action Tangled. pic.twitter.com/pi47Kbli64
Hahn is no stranger to playing magical antagonists. Fans will recognize her from her standout performance as Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically in WandaVision and her own spinoff series, Agatha All Along. Her ability to balance humor with a more sinister edge makes her a natural fit for the vain and manipulative Mother Gothel.
Before the official confirmation, there was plenty of speculation surrounding the role, with names like Scarlett Johansson also being rumored for the part.
With Mother Gothel now cast, the main trio for the film is set. Hahn joins Teagan Croft (known for her role as Raven in Titans), who was previously announced as Rapunzel, and Milo Manheim (Zombies), who will be playing the charming Flynn Rider.
The live-action Tangled project has had a bit of a bumpy journey. Initially reported to be in development in 2020, the film saw several shifts in production status over the last few years. Following the success of the live-action Lilo & Stitch, the project moved back into active development. Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman) remains attached to direct, with a script from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
With the casting of such a high-profile villain, fans are eager to see how this version of the 2010 animated classic will translate to the big screen.
New Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Products That Are Sweet As Hunny!
Can you believe it’s been a whole century since we first wandered into the Hundred Acre Wood? For 100 years, Pooh Bear and his crew have been teaching us that the best parts of life aren’t the loud, flashy moments, but the quiet ones spent with friends. Whether it’s Tigger’s chaotic energy, Eeyore’s relatable gloom, or Pooh’s endless quest for a smackerel, these characters are basically family at this point. To celebrate this massive milestone in 2026, Disney is pulling out all the stops with a year-long party full of fresh stories and some seriously cute gear.
If you’re a fan of building things (or just love adorable shelf decor), the new LEGO sets are a total vibe. They’ve got everything from a bee-infested honey pot to Piglet’s birthday bash. For the collectors, Funko POP!is dropping a “Pooh in the Honey Tree” figure that is pure nostalgia, along with a sleeping Pooh that’s almost too precious to look at.
If you prefer something squishy, the Just Play Hunny Hugs plushies and GUND’s animated Peek-A-Boo Pooh are basically mandatory for any cuddle session.
Wear the Magic
Ready to upgrade your wardrobe? The 100th Anniversary Spirit Jersey features a literal map of the Hundred Acre Wood, perfect for when you’re feeling a little lost or just want to be cozy. For something a bit more elevated, Her Universe has a flowy floral dress, and there’s a denim shacket at DisneyStore.com that features the iconic Silly Old Bear graphic on the back.
Even the tiny humans can join in with the OshKosh B’gosh collection at Carter’s, which looks like it stepped straight out of a classic storybook.
Accessories & Self-Care
You can’t have a Disney collab without Loungefly, and their new honey-themed mini backpacks and floral wallets are buzzing with cuteness. If you’re more of a Vera Bradley fan, their blue gingham and spring floral collection is perfect for a sunny stroll.
Even your vanity is getting a Pooh-over: Wet N Wild is dropping a beauty line, and Mad Beauty has lavender-scented treats for when you need to channel your inner Eeyore and just relax. The Wet Brush Disney Winnie the Pooh Original Detangler brushes brighten morning routines with cheerful colors and familiar faces so that even tangles feel a little breezier.
Keep a little piece of the Hundred Acre Wood close at hand. The Casetify and PopSockets Winnie the Pooh collections feature bright artwork of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and friends adding personality to every call, text, and scroll.
Write it Down
Finally, if all this nostalgia has you feeling reflective, you can grab The Wisdom of Pooh Gratitude Journal. It’s full of prompts to help you slow down and appreciate the little things, just like Pooh does. And for the new parents out there, the Winnie the Pooh Baby Book is a gorgeous way to track your little one’s first years, complete with envelopes for those tiny keepsakes you never want to lose.
First Ankole Calf Born at Walt Disney World in Over 20 Years
Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team has announced a historic addition to the herd at Walt Disney World. For the first time in more than two decades, an Ankole calf has been born at the resort.
The female calf was born to her mother, Winnie, who is one of the resident Ankole cattle at Walt Disney World. According to Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, both the calf and Winnie are in excellent health.
The birth of an Ankole calf is a significant milestone for the animal care team. While several species of African cattle reside on the savannas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, this is the first time in twenty years that the Disney team has welcomed a newborn of this specific breed.
Ankole cattle are a breed of Sanga cattle native to Africa, primarily found in regions like Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. They are most famous for their massive, sweeping horns, which can grow up to eight feet wide from tip to tip.
While the new calf doesn’t have her signature horns yet, they will begin to develop and show in the coming months. Interestingly, these large horns aren’t just for show—they actually help the cattle regulate their body temperature by circulating blood through the horns to cool it down in the heat.
For now, Winnie and her calf are bonding behind the scenes to ensure they have plenty of quiet time together. However, Disney has confirmed that they will eventually make their grand debut on the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Guests staying at the resort or visiting for dinner at Jiko or Boma should keep their eyes peeled for the little one once she officially joins the rest of the herd.
Thomas Mazloum Tapped to Succeed Josh D’Amaro as Chairman of Disney Experiences
A major leadership transition is underway at The Walt Disney Company as the search for Josh D’Amaro’s successor appears to have reached its conclusion. According to a report from Bloomberg, current Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum is expected to be named the next Chairman of Disney Experiences.
This leadership shift comes as part of a larger corporate restructuring following the announcement that Josh D’Amaro will officially succeed Bob Iger as Disney’s Chief Executive Officer on March 18, 2026.
Mazloum is a seasoned Disney veteran with a career spanning over 25 years. He originally joined the company in 1998 as a hotel director for the Disney Cruise Line and eventually rose to lead Disney Signature Experiences—the division responsible for Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, and the cruise fleet.
In March 2025, he transitioned to the West Coast to serve as President of the Disneyland Resort. During his tenure in Anaheim, he has overseen the massive preparations for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary and managed a workforce of over 36,000 Cast Members.
If confirmed, Mazloum will inherit the responsibility of overseeing Disney’s ambitious $60 billion investment in its parks, cruises, and consumer products over the next decade. This includes high-profile projects currently in development, such as the Avatar-themed land at Disney California Adventure and the highly anticipated Villains Land at Magic Kingdom.
Mazloum’s extensive background in cruise operations is seen as a significant asset, especially as Disney Cruise Line prepares to nearly double its fleet size with the recent launch of the Disney Adventure and several other ships currently under construction.
An official announcement from The Walt Disney Company is expected as early as this week, leading up to the company’s annual shareholder meeting. With the Disney Experiences segment accounting for over half of the company’s total earnings last year, Mazloum will be stepping into one of the most influential roles in the themed entertainment industry.
As the transition moves forward, many are looking to see who will be tapped to fill Mazloum’s current role as President of the Disneyland Resort.
Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has officially debuted a major culinary update, streamlining its lunch and dinner offerings into a unified experience. This significant refresh touches every course—from revamped appetizers and mains to a total dessert transformation—ensuring guests get the same elevated global flavors regardless of when they dine.
Appetizers
The signature Tiffins Bread Service ($20) sees a slight shift in its global lineup. While the beloved Pão de Queijo and Thai Curry Milk Bread remain staples, the Papadam and Ginger-Pear Chutney have been retired to make way for Onion Kulcha Naan paired with Coriander Chutney.
Fans of the Pork Belly Bao Buns will notice a rebranding and a fresh garnish profile. Now titled “Korean Barbecue Pork Belly Bao Buns,” the dish swaps out the traditional Cucumber Kimchi and Pickled Green Papaya for a brighter Pickled Cucumber, Green Papaya Slaw, and Cilantro topping.
On the lighter side, the appetizer list has shrunk slightly as the Coconut-Ube Cauliflower Soup has been cut from both lunch and dinner with no immediate replacement. However, long-time favorites like the Gobi Manchurian, The Land Salad, and the Charcuterie and Cheese Board remain untouched.
Main Courses
The heart of the Tiffins menu has seen some major subtractions, most notably the disappearance of the Surf & Turf ($69), the Pan-roasted Fish Filet ($48), and the Andean Beef Short Rib. In their place, a new Grilled Beef Tenderloin ($59) has arrived, featuring a vibrant Peruvian preparation with Saltado marble potatoes, chorizo vinaigrette, and Huancaina sauce. Interestingly, while the official Surf & Turf is gone, guests can add seared scallops to the tenderloin for an additional $23—effectively creating a “build-your-own” version at a higher total price point.
Other signature dishes haven’t escaped the refresh. The Regional Curry Tasting ($38) has been scaled back, losing the Balinese Golden Curry and now featuring only the Thai Green and Indian Red varieties. The Butter Chicken ($43) remains but swaps its traditional rice croquette for a samosa, while the Oaxacan Pork Duo sees a descriptive update to highlight its Peanut Salsa Macha and Sweet Plantain-Chipotle Sauce. For those seeking a midday staple, the Tiffins Signature Burger Prix Fixe ($42) remains a lunch-only fixture.
Dessert
The grand finale at Tiffins has received a complete makeover, with several long-standing favorites making way for a fresh slate of sweets. Gone are the Hazelnut Entremet ($15) and the White Chocolate-Orange Crème Brûlée ($16), replaced by two new globally-inspired options.
New to the Dessert Menu
African Pot de Crème ($13): A decadent chocolate base infused with Ethiopian coffee, topped with Ras el Hanout-spiced pineapple, pistachio, and a chocolate cookie.
Caramel Flan ($14): A silky, cardamom-scented caramel custard finished with a dollop of vanilla Chantilly.
For those looking for a lighter finish, the Seasonal Sorbet Trio ($11) is the lone survivor of the overhaul and remains available on both the lunch and dinner menus.
Perhaps the most significant shift in this overhaul is the newfound consistency between service periods. In the past, Tiffins maintained a clear divide, with high-end exclusives like the Whole-fried Fish and the full Surf & Turf reserved primarily for the dinner crowd.
That wall has officially come down. Aside from the Tiffins Signature Burger Prix Fixe, which remains a lunch-only staple, the menus are now virtually identical in both selection and pricing. Whether you’re stopping in for a midday break or a signature evening feast, you can now expect the exact same culinary experience.
Calling All Mouseketeers! The New Mickey Mouse Club Her Universe Collection Is Here
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to practice your “Hey there, hi there, ho there,” this is it. The Disney Store just released a brand-new Mickey Mouse Club Collection by Her Universe, and it’s basically a nostalgic fever dream mixed with modern varsity vibes. Whether you grew up watching the original black-and-white shorts or the ’90s revival, these pieces are designed to make you feel like the leader of the club.
First up, let’s talk about the Mickey Mouse Club Athletic Dress ($69.99). This dress is a full-on cheerleading-inspired look. It comes with a pleated skirt, striped trim, and, bless the designers, built-in under-shorts so you can actually move around the parks comfortably.
If you’re leaning more into the cozy chic aesthetic, the Cardigan ($69.99) is a total standout. It features a split-color knit design and a scalloped collar that feels super vintage, topped off with a massive embroidered logo on the back so everyone knows exactly where your loyalties lie.
You can’t just stop at the clothes; you need the gear to match.
The Crossbody Tote ($49.99): This compact canvas bag is perfect for a park day. It has both carry handles and a shoulder strap, plus a sparkly keychain charm that features the Fantasyland Castle and a tiny tennis racket for that sporty flair.
The Headband Set ($19.99): To top it all off, there’s a two-pack of stretchy, retro-style headbands. One even sports a metal Mouseketeer ear hat appliqué, which is a great alternative if you want the “ears” look without the bulk of a traditional headband.
These collections tend to fly off the virtual shelves pretty fast, especially when Her Universe is involved. If you’ve got your eye on that cardigan, you might want to move quickly!
Room Refurbishment Coming to Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Beginning May 2026
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is preparing for a new round of room refurbishments beginning in late May 2026, with work scheduled to continue through the end of January 2027. The value resort refurbishment will take place in phases across the property, meaning guests visiting during that time may notice construction activity as Disney updates sections of the resort.
While Disney has not yet revealed which buildings will be refurbished first, projects like this typically happen in a rolling format. Entire sections or buildings are temporarily closed while work is completed before moving on to the next area. This allows the resort to remain open to guests throughout the refurbishment period rather than shutting down completely.
Guests staying at All-Star Movies during the refurbishment window should expect possible daytime construction noise and occasional changes to walking paths around the resort. However, Disney has confirmed that all major amenities will remain available to guests during the project. The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and the kiddie pool are not currently listed as affected by the refurbishment.
Disney has not shared specifics about the changes coming to the rooms, but All-Star Movies underwent a major renovation in the late 2010s and early 2020s. That update introduced several modern upgrades, including wood-style flooring, improved storage, enhanced charging outlets, and a Murphy-style fold-down bed that allows the space to function as both a bedroom and a living area.
Because of those recent updates, this upcoming project may focus on a lighter refresh with new furnishings, flooring, or decorative elements rather than a full redesign. Disney has not confirmed whether newly refurbished rooms will become available to guests during the project or only once the work is completed.
If you already have a stay planned at All-Star Movies between late May 2026 and January 2027, it may be worth requesting a room away from active construction areas once Disney releases more details on the refurbishment schedule. Travelers who want to avoid the construction period altogether may consider booking a stay before late May or after the project wraps up in early 2027.
All-Star Movies Resort remains one of Walt Disney World’s most popular value resorts thanks to its larger-than-life movie-themed décor and family-friendly atmosphere. With this upcoming refurbishment, Disney is likely aiming to keep the resort looking fresh and comfortable for guests for years to come.
Tiana’s Joyful Celebration Exhibit Brings New Orleans Magic to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
Princess Tiana’s story is stepping beyond the bayou and into a brand-new immersive experience for families. Disney has teamed up with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to debut Tiana’s Joyful Celebration, a colorful, hands-on exhibition inspired by the spirit of New Orleans and the beloved heroine from The Princess and the Frog. The exhibit officially opened March 8 and will run through January 3, 2027, inviting guests to step right into the middle of a lively Mardi Gras season celebration.
The experience, created through a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and the museum, places guests in 1928 New Orleans as preparations are underway for a neighborhood Mardi Gras parade. Inside Tiana’s Co-Op, Princess Tiana and her friends discover the parade will start earlier than expected, and they need help from the community to finish their festive floats in time. That’s where visiting families come in, joining Tiana, Prince Naveen, and their bayou friends to bring the celebration to life.
Guests can dive into several interactive activities designed to capture the music, food, and creativity of New Orleans culture. Visitors can decorate colorful parade floats, join Prince Naveen in the Bayou Community Band to experiment with rhythm and sound, or stop by Eudora’s dress shop to design masks and costumes fit for Mardi Gras. Kids can even create pretend sno-ball flavors with Mama Odie and step into Tiana’s kitchen to prepare her father’s famous gumbo through playful cooking activities.
The celebration continues with music and movement as families learn how to dance in a traditional New Orleans second-line parade. Guided by step-by-step tutorials from a New Orleans dancer, guests can join the finale float and feel like they’re part of the parade themselves. From crafting and cooking to music and dance, the exhibit encourages hands-on exploration and creativity at every turn.
Tiana’s Joyful Celebration marks the first museum exhibition dedicated to Princess Tiana and draws inspiration from the story and themes introduced in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Imagineers designed the experience to highlight Tiana’s values of community, determination, and creativity while introducing families to the vibrant traditions of New Orleans culture.
The exhibit also emphasizes accessibility and inclusion, featuring bilingual signage in English and Spanish along with accessible elements including ASL and Braille. It is recommended for children ages 6 to 10 and their families, though Disney fans of all ages will likely enjoy stepping into Tiana’s world.
Admission to the exhibit is included with regular entry to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, which is the largest children’s museum in the world with 485,000 square feet of interactive exhibits. The museum recently celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025 and has been named the best children’s museum in the country by USA Today for three consecutive years.
After its run in Indianapolis, Tiana’s Joyful Celebration will continue on a five-year national tour, bringing the Mardi Gras magic to at least a dozen more cities across the United States including stops in California, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and beyond.
New Spring Omakase Menu Blooms at Takumi-Tei in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion
Spring has officially arrived at EPCOT, and the culinary artists at Takumi-Tei are celebrating the season with an elegant new omakase menu that blends delicate flavors, beautiful presentation, and a deep connection to Japanese culture. Tucked inside the Japan Pavilion in World Showcase, Takumi-Tei, which translates to “House of the Artisan,” offers guests a refined multi-course dining experience where every dish is carefully crafted by the chefs and presented as part of a storytelling journey through the seasons.
The restaurant itself sets the tone before the first bite ever arrives. Guests step into a tranquil space designed around five natural elements: water, wood, earth, stone, and washi paper. Each dining room reflects one of these themes through its décor, furnishings, and artistic touches, creating an immersive environment that feels worlds away from the bustling park outside. Led by Chef Shingo in the kitchen and Yuki guiding the guest experience, the team brings a thoughtful blend of artistry and hospitality to every table.
The new spring omakase menu features seven courses inspired by seasonal ingredients and the beauty of Japan’s springtime traditions. The experience begins with Ichiju Sansai, a trio of seasonal dishes including kombu-cured sea bream accented with edible gold leaf, salmon roe with spring vegetables in white sesame dressing, and a lightly fried tofu served in a silky white miso broth with pickled cherry blossom. The presentation alone sets the stage for the meal, as guests lift the lids from their bowls together to reveal the vibrant dishes inside.
The second course brings a chilled seasonal appetizer featuring charcoal-grilled razor clam and tataki-style Spanish mackerel served dramatically in a clamshell with sea urchin, wasabi jelly, and edible blossoms. Vegetarian diners receive a beautifully plated assortment of seasonal vegetables with wasabi jelly and delicate garnishes that keep the spring theme flowing.
Course three celebrates the season with the Spring Hanami Hassun platter, a stunning collection of small bites inspired by Japan’s cherry blossom viewing tradition. Highlights on the omnivorous platter include Saikyo miso-grilled flounder, horse mackerel sushi, tamagoyaki, marinated fish with paprika gelée, simmered prawn, and jade-colored broad beans in dashi broth. The vegetarian version features equally thoughtful creations like grilled daikon with yuzu miso, spinach temari sushi, grilled eggplant with amber jelly, and simmered konjac paired with sweet vinegar-marinated tomatoes.
The fourth course offers a comforting simmered dish featuring perfectly cooked greenling alongside a lotus root dumpling, carved daikon, and seasonal greens in a fragrant broth accented with plum sauce and fresh yuzu. This course delivers a warm, savory moment before the meal transitions into its main attraction.
For the fifth course, guests choose their main entrée. Options include crisp tempura Japanese black wagyu, fan-shaped white shrimp tempura, or a char-grilled Japanese black wagyu sirloin available as an upgrade. Each dish is paired with sakura-infused mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a rich sweet sake sauce that highlights the premium ingredients. Vegetarian diners enjoy deep-fried vegetable skewers served with the same flavorful sakura potatoes and caramelized onion ponzu sauce.
The sixth course introduces a classic rice dish featuring pressed eel sushi topped with shredded egg and Japanese sansho pepper, served alongside spinach and silken tofu in red miso soup. Guests even receive a small origami keepsake as part of the presentation, a charming reminder of the experience.
Finally, dessert arrives with a tableside matcha tea service and a trio of seasonal sweets. Options include strawberry baked cheesecake with milk caramel and viola flower, house-made strawberry daifuku with sakura crystal jelly, and sakura mochi topped with a salt-pickled cherry blossom. The delicate flavors and ceremonial tea service provide a peaceful and satisfying finale to the meal.
For guests looking to elevate the experience even further, Takumi-Tei also offers curated sake and wine pairings designed to complement each course. With imported Japanese sparkling and still waters, specialty cocktails, and thoughtful beverage options, every sip enhances the carefully balanced menu.
While Takumi-Tei sits inside EPCOT, the experience feels more like stepping into an intimate culinary retreat than dining in a theme park. The seasonal menu ensures every visit is unique, making it a perfect destination for celebrations, special occasions, or anyone looking to enjoy one of the most refined dining experiences at Walt Disney World.
