Downtown Disney Welcomes Back the Fan-Favorite Disney Jr. Bubbles Experience
Summer just got a whole lot more whimsical at the Disneyland Resort! If you have little ones who love to dance, play, and pop bubbles, you will want to add a stop at the Downtown Disney District to your summer itinerary.
The fan-favorite Bubbles Experience at Downtown Disney, presented by Disney Jr., has officially returned! This limited-time, family-friendly event kicked off on Friday, July 10, and will fill the shopping district with music and floating magic daily through August 16, 2026.

This year’s bubbly celebration brings an extra dose of royalty to the party. The event is fully inspired by Disney Jr.’s brand-new animated series, Sofia the First: Royal Magic, which is currently airing on Disney Jr. and streaming on Disney+.
To celebrate Princess Sofia’s newest royal adventures, Disney has installed an enchanting, colorful Sofia the First photo-op right next to the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and Lawn, which serves as the hub for all the bubble-filled festivities. It’s the perfect backdrop to capture a sweet summer keepsake of your tiny travelers!
The experience itself transforms the lawn into a massive, high-energy dance floor. Giant bubble machines pump thousands of clear, floating bubbles over the crowd while a live DJ spins upbeat tracks to get everyone moving. During the opening weekend, popular local favorite DJ Dave Mancini was spotted at the turntable leading the dance party!
Whether you are stopping by for a midday lunch or wrapping up an evening of shopping, Disney has scheduled tons of opportunities to catch the fun. “Bubble Moments” are split across daytime and nighttime hours:
- Daytime Bubble Moments:Â 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PMDaps Magic
- Nighttime Bubble Moments:Â 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, and 10:20 PM
Because Downtown Disney is an open-admission shopping, dining, and entertainment district, no theme park ticket or reservation is required to enjoy the party. It is a fantastic, zero-cost way to squeeze some extra Disney magic into a travel day, a rest day, or a casual evening out with the family.
