Orlando International Airport Replacing Key Trams Starting December 3 — Here’s What Travelers Need to Know
If you’ve got a flight coming up at Orlando International Airport, you might want to pack a little extra patience with that neck pillow. MCO just announced a major multiyear update that’s about to shake up how passengers move between the main terminal and several of its busiest gate areas.
Beginning December 3, the airport will kick off its $253 million Gate Link Replacement Project, which will replace the trams that shuttle travelers between Terminal A/B and gates 70–129. That covers big airlines like Delta, Frontier, Southwest, Virgin Atlantic, LATAM, Avelo, and Air Canada, so these changes will affect a huge chunk of MCO flyers.
During construction, each affected airside will operate with only one tram instead of two, meaning longer waits and slower travel times. To keep people moving, MCO will roll out 24/7 shuttle buses, which at times may be the only way to get from your gates to the terminal.
Airport leaders say the project will ultimately create a smoother, faster experience once complete. But in the meantime, travelers should expect delays and plan accordingly. MCO recommends arriving early for all departures and adding an extra 30 minutes if you’re picking up a rental car or using rideshare or ground transportation.
The entire project is expected to wrap in fall 2027, so this is going to be a long-term shift in airport flow.

The newest episode takes us inside Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, where Imagineers are turning cutting-edge tech into real-world magic at record speed.
The big reveal is Olaf — not just any Olaf, but the first-ever Walt Disney Animation Studios character brought to life through Imagineering’s newest entertainment robotics program. This version of Olaf moves, performs, reacts, and feels like he just stepped out of the animated world and into yours. The team’s breakthrough? Reinforcement learning. Instead of developing animatronics over years, Imagineers can now teach characters to move by putting them through thousands of hours of virtual training in days. That’s a snowball’s-worth of progress in no time.
Olaf’s debut is just the beginning. Guests will soon spot him in the Arendelle Bay show at World of Frozen, the new immersive land coming to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris, as well as in special limited-time appearances at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland. A historic transformation is set to unfold at Disneyland Paris. Disney has officially announced that the highly anticipated World of Frozen will open on March 29, 2026, officially marking the debut of the newly reimagined Disney Adventure World.
This milestone represents the beginning of a bold new era for the resort, nearly doubling the size of the second park (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park). Upon completion, over 90% of the park’s original offerings from 2002 will have been completely reimagined.

The highlight of this expansion is the immersive World of Frozen, which brings the kingdom of Arendelle to life. Guests will be greeted by stunning architecture, a vibrant village square inspired by Nordic design, and the towering North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace.
Frozen Ever After: At the heart of the land is this family-friendly boat ride taking guests through iconic scenes from the films, enhanced by lifelike Audio-Animatronics figures.

Olaf is set to appear in the Arendelle Bay show and interacts with guests with an unmatched level of believability.
What’s Next? The story doesn’t end in 2026. Construction is already underway on a Lion King themed land, which will feature a major water-based attraction plunging guests into the Pride Lands. Additionally, a family-friendly flying carousel themed to Pixar’s Up will eventually join the lineup on Adventure Way.
