Woody had the chance to make his new ensemble debut, pictured above, with the reopening of Hong Kong Disneyland this past Friday, Feb. 19, and he looks amazing!

The makeover matches more what he looks like in the popular Disney Pixar film series, Toy Story, and he looks much more vibrant and youthful. This is the first costume change that Woody has overgone since he first made his way into the Disney Parks in the mid-90s- so it was long overdue!

What do you think of Woody’s new look? Let us know in the comments!

New Sorcerer Mickey Lego display now appearing at Disney Springs!

New Sorcerer Mickey Lego display now appearing at Disney Springs!

New Sorcerer Mickey Lego display has appeared at Disney Springs! The Lego store in Disney Springs is renowned for its larger than life, highly impressive Lego displays often featuring Disney characters. Only recently, unveiled is the highly impressive Sorcerer Mickey from Disney’s Fantastia spotted outside the popular store.

Let’s take a closer look at the new Sorcerer Mickey Lego display at Disney Springs! Check out the photos below!

New Sorcerer Mickey Lego display now appearing at Disney Springs!

As you can see the new display is right outside the popular Lego store, showing Sorcerer Mickey in all his glory! We are loving the vibrant colours shown by the dark blue bricks against the white “foam” effect also created by bricks! Mickey dressed in his Sorcerer’s Apprentice costume, featuring the iconic hat of Yen Sid, the Sorcerer with the famous name (Disney spelled backward).

From the side view, you can see to amount of detail the new display shows, even with ledges in the rocks and the breaking of the foam in the waves. This new display is simply magical!

However, here at Chip and Co we wonder as to why the new display design features Sorcerer Mickey and if there are any links to some of the news breaking around Fantasmic and Hollywood Studios. Last month, changes were made on the My Disney Experience App for Fantasmic, showing a change in artwork. The new artwork shows a vibrant Mickey shooting fireworks into the sky! Furthermore, news also broke regarding Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, named “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”. Alongside the sneak peek, it was reported that each of the Walt Disney World parks icons (i.e. Cinderella’s Castle, Tree of Life, Epcot and Tower of Terror), will become “Earidescent” (a new phrase coined by Disney). When you see the concept artwork of this, it looks very similar to the updated artwork for Fantasmic in My Disney Experience App!

Whilst this link could simply be highly speculative, we know that Disney is trying to make it possible for nighttime spectacular entertainment to return and it seems Fantasmic would be appropriate, as the amphitheatre can be modified to meet the requirements of social distancing! Therefore, we wonder if the new Sorcerer Mickey Lego display at Disney Springs is linked to this, we wait to see if further news is announced!

White Castle near Disney World to offer delivery service starting next week

White Castle delivery
White Castle delivery

Great news! White Castle fans won’t have to drive to the new restaurant opening this spring near Disney World because the burger chain plans to launch a delivery service near downtown Orlando next week.

Deliveries will start Tuesday on Uber Eats. According to the company’s website, it’s from a ghost kitchen near John Young Parkway and Colonial Drive. The food will be available within a 15-minute radius of the location at 18 N. Dollins Ave.

Ghost kitchens, which do not have dining rooms, are a trend for restaurants trying to reach delivery and takeout customers.

“Having a virtual kitchen provides us the opportunity to be even more available, and at the same time, to give our new friends and neighbors in Orlando a taste of what’s to come as we continue to move towards opening our new location at O-Town West.”

— Jamie Richardson, White Castle Vice President

The delivery menu will offer a “concentrated collection” of White Castle items. For example, original and cheese sliders, crinkle-cut French fries, chicken rings and mozzarella cheese sticks. It will be available 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The kitchen will be focused on delivery for its opening, but as time goes on White Castle is considering takeout as well, Richardson said.

He said the delivery space is part of the company’s “long-view.”

The White Castle opening near Disney in the O-Town West development on Daryl Carter Parkway will be the largest restaurant for the chain.

It will be 4,567 square feet and feature two drive-through lanes along with indoor and outdoor seating.

9-year-old Iron Man Fan Finally Adopted After Spending 7 Years in Foster Care Homes

Elijah Stark Mays, Avengers fan

His name is Stark. Elijah Stark Mays. It was upon his adoption that the 9-year-old boy who spent over seven years in different foster care homes was welcomed into his forever family and allowed to choose his middle name. As a serious Marvel fan, his decision was easy. He chose the name of one of his favorite heroes: Iron Man.

Elijah had been fostered by the Mays family since 2016. It was his sixth foster family as he had been in the system since he was just two-and-a-half years old. It was for this reason that forming an attachment was difficult for Elijah; having consistent structure and nurturing was essential to gain his trust. But with the Mays family, by the time he was in first grade, Elijah was flourishing. He was able to get straight As, as well as an award.

9-year-old Iron Man Fan Finally Adopted After Spending 7 Years in Foster Care Homes

It was on January 22nd (after 2710 days in foster care) that Elijah was finally adopted and given his permanent home with Mandi and Jon Mays, their two biological children, Harper, 16, and Dalton, 13, as well as their other adopted son, Judah, who is 7. According to their interview with Good Morning America, Mandi said “These two kids just fit well in our family. We decided that adoption was the completing piece.” When asked about Elijah specifically, she elaborated ”He’s just fun to be around. He’s a wealth of random knowledge … he can tell you every Marvel movie from beginning to end.”

The Mays family has promised to stick with Elijah no matter what. They’re a forever family now, living together in Oklahoma City. Elijah hopes to be the governor of Oklahoma someday and eventually become president. His favorite movie is “Avengers, ” which is what prompted him to choose the middle name Stark, after Tony Stark also known as Iron Man. He should share a name with a superhero. After all, Elijah is a hero in his own right. We wish him and his family all the best.

‘WandaVision’ Episode 7 Features the First Post Credit Scene

Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau in WandaVision Episode 7

‘WandaVision’ Episode 7 Features the First Post Credit Scene. SPOILER ALERT! This post discusses potentially major spoilers for the final episodes of WandaVision. If you do not want aspects of the series ruined for you we recommend you stop reading past this point, Thank-you!

'WandaVision' Episode 7 Features the First Post Credit Scene

Marvel Fans are VERY happy after the latest episode finally confirmed that “Agnes” was indeed Agatha Harkness in disguise as we head into the final episodes of the series. Comic fans know that Agatha is a mentor to Wanda Maximoff, but seems rather neutral as Marvel characters seem to go, but the series is currently painting Harkness in a more villainous light as its revealed she is responsible for some of the activities in Westview, NJ.

Though we are sure to learn more about Agatha and her deeds in the coming episodes, Episode 7 featured the first post credit scene for the series (well more of a mid-credits scene). The snippet featured Monica Rambeau snooping around Wanda’s house when she looks into some storm doors that go beneath the house and sees some purple pulsing roots. She is startled by “Pietro Maximoff” and we see her eyes flash purple, wether that is because of her new found powers or an enchantment cast by “Pietro” is yet to be seen.

Check out the full post credit scene in the video featured below:

Disney+ Expected to Surpass Netflix in Subscribers by 2026

Disney+ Logo

Disney+ Expected to Surpass Netflix in Subscribers by 2026. A recent study done by Digital TV Research compared how the various streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, Apple TV+, HBO Max, and more will likely perform in the next few years.

The study also revealed that by 2026, Disney+ is expected to surpass Netflix in subscribers, with Disney+ predicted to have amassed 294 Million subscribers compared to the expected 286 Million subscribers Netflix is expected to have by then.

Digital TV research shared a highlight in the report stating: “However, Disney+ will only have more subs than Netflix in one country — India: 98 million Disney+ Hotstar subscribers versus 13 million for Netflix.

Principal Analyst Simon Murray also shared, “Disney+ Hotstar will roll out to 13 Asian countries by 2026. These countries will supply 108 million (37 percent) of the global Disney+ subscriber total, but only $2.62 billion (13 percent) of the platform’s revenues by 2026. Hotstar subscribers pay less than a third of the monthly subscription fee of their U.S. counterpart.”

Insight Analyst at Parrot Analytics Wade Payson-Denney previously shared the correlation between prolonged popularity and release styles which may lead to the bump in streaming subscribers for Disney+, sharing, “When we see a binge release series like we do on Netflix [The Crown, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, The Queen’s Gambit, Tiger King, etc], we’re seeing demand skyrocket at first for like a week. They really pop up at first but quickly trail off. It’s a quick hit for these streamers. Whereas with weekly release [like on Disney+], we see popularity gradually build over time, especially for a show like The Mandalorian and WandaVision.”
