Rapper Joey Bada$$ has recently posted a video on Instagram of Disney Cast Members at the Transportation and Ticket Center who would not allow his cousin with autism into Disney World without wearing a Face Mask.

His wrote the following on his video:

Never coming back to Disney again.

Here’s Luis, Cameron, and Kaitlyn and they just turned away an autistic child at Disney World because he didn’t want to wear his mask. The child thinks the mask is suffocating, the child also has no idea why it is even a requirement. Not to mention that, kids under 2, doesn’t have to wear a mask. These guys have completely ruined my family’s trip. We came out here 30+ for my daughters bday and they turned my lil cousin away, can’t even enjoy this experience anymore.

Here is the official word on Facemasks at Disney World:

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:

Be made with at least 2 layers of breathable material
Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

Costume masks are also not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn, in alignment with our existing rules.

Face coverings may have an integrated transparent plastic panel to aid in viewing the wearer’s mouth. These face coverings must:

Be a fabric face covering featuring a solid plastic panel containing no openings that is attached to the fabric on all sides using tight knit stitching
Meet all face covering requirements listed above

The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.

There is an R-Rated verision of Mrs Doubtfire

Many of our readers are probably familiar with the 1993 comedy movie Mrs. Doubtfire. What you might not know is that an R-rated version of the film exists, too!

The movie’s director, Chris Columbus, recently had an interview with Entertainment Weekly while reminiscing about the film. He notes how there’s three versions of the movie in existence, including an R-rated version. Columbus said there is the potential to see those outtakes in a future project.

“The reality is that there was a deal between Robin and myself, which was, he’ll do one or two, three scripted takes. And then he would say, ‘Then let me play.’ And we would basically go on anywhere between 15 to 22 takes, I think 22 being the most I remember. He would sometimes go into territory that wouldn’t be appropriate for a PG-13 movie, but certainly appropriate and hilariously funny for an R-rated film.”

Robin Williams came up with new versions and new lines in every take while filming Mrs. Doubtfire. The film stars Williams disguising himself as a female housekeeper to spend time with his children, whom he lost in a custody battle. It was rated PG-13 upon its release in 1993.

Not only is Mrs. Doubtfire one of the best films made by Robin Williams, it’s also one of the best comedies in the past three decades. Many fans, including ourselves, would be interested in seeing the additional footage not featured in the PG-13 movie. Bob Chapek says Guest Satisfaction is higher now than before COVID-19 Closures

In a recent interview with Bloomberg‘s Emily Chang, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that guest satisfaction is higher now than before COVID-19 Closures.

Our guest satisfaction scores since we’ve reopened across the world have shown that, indeed, our guests are even more satisfied than they were prior to the pandemic.

We’ve learned some things, we’ve learned to operate under constraints all the time by delivering this great same Disney magic that you expect, but we’ve been in a fortunate situation where we’ve had a lot of demand in the past. In many cases, that has exceeded what we can actually supply in terms of how many people we can put in the park and there’s been no situation that’s been more like that than we’ve had upon reopening.

He also talked about the reopening of the Disneyland Resort, Jungle Cruise update, and how Disney+ now has over 100 million subscribers.

Super Cute Disney Dome Cakes You Can Make At Home!

Surprise everyone with these adorable Disney Dome Cakes!

Besides being cute and colorful, these treats have a delicious white chocolate mousse filling inside candy shells that sit on top of fluffy vanilla cake. Are you drooling yet? Because we are.

They are inspired by some of your favorite Disney characters like Baymax, Stitch, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger! Have fun making these dome cakes following this recipe from Disney Family:

DISNEY DOME CAKES

INGREDIENTS:

Cake

1 packet of vanilla cake mix + required ingredients
1/2 cup of candy melts per color (white, yellow, light pink, light blue, orange and blue)

White Chocolate Mousse

1 cup of whipping cream
5 tbsp of powdered sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of white chocolate chips

Royal Icing

2 cups of powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp of meringue powder
1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of warm water
Black, pink, beige, and blue gel food coloring

Supplies

Jelly roll pan
Parchment paper
Round cookie cutter
Pastry brush
Half circle silicone cake mold
Toothpicks
Pastry bag

INSTRUCTIONS:

Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions. Pour batter into a jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper. Place the cake pan into the refrigerator for 10 minutes to cool.

Then, cut 6 cake rounds out of the sheet cake with the cookie cutter. Set aside.
Prepare the shells of the chocolate domes. Melt each color of candy melts in separate bowls either by microwave or double broiler method. If using a microwave, heat in 20 second intervals until candy melts are completely melted and smooth. For double broiler method, place a bowl on top of a pot with simmering water. The bowl should be slightly larger than the pot. Let it melt, and stir until smooth and no clumps are in the mixture.

Use a pastry brush to coat each cavity of the mold with a different color of candy melts. Wait about 5 minutes, then brush on a second layer. Place mold into the refrigerator to set for about 10 minutes.
Prepare the mousse filling. In a mixing bowl, beat the whipping cream on high speed until stiff peaks start to form. Beat in the sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy.
Using a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments until completely melted. Fold the chocolate into the whipped cream mixture until just combined. Be careful not to over mix.

Fill each chocolate shell with the mousse until almost full. Then, place each cake round on top of the shells filled with mousse.

Remove the shells from the molds. Start by pushing the bottom upward and slowly release each chocolate shell. Turn it upside down so that the shells sit on top of the cake. Be careful not to touch the outside of the shell to prevent fingerprints on the surface. Repeat until you have all 6 remove from the mold.
Time to create the ears, noses, eyes, and other details with the leftover candy melts, royal icing and toothpicks!

For Baymax, use black royal icing to draw his eyes and a straight line across for his mouth.

For Pooh, draw his eyes, nose, and eyebrows with black royal icing. Make 2 round ears by melting yellow candy melts, adding to a piping bag, and piping the shapes on parchment paper. Once dried, peel off parchment and stick on top of his head with a bit of yellow candy melts. Repeat the same for Piglet but with candy melts for his ears.

For Tigger, paint on the yellow part of his eyes and snout with yellow candy melts before drawing his eyes, eyebrows, and whiskers with black royal icing. Draw his nose with pink royal icing using a toothpick. Make 2 round ears with orange and yellow candy melts (using the technique above) and stick onto the top of his head when dry.

For Eeyore, paint on his snout with beige icing. Draw eyes, nostrils, and stitches with black icing. Make his ears with blue and pink candy melts, and stick on the sides of his head when dry.

For Stitch, create his ears using blue candy melts and add pink royal icing. Once dried, stick onto the sides of Stitch’s head. Using light blue royal icing, draw on his mouth and circle around his eyes with toothpicks. Then, draw his eyes with black icing. For his nose, use a darker shade of blue icing.

Tap on the candy shell with the back of a spoon to break it before scooping into the mousse and cake layer.

The Crossover Series is coming to Disney+

Production is starting soon for an upcoming Disney+ series. 20th Television will start filming a new series for Disney+ based on “The Crossover”, a children’s book written by Keene Alexander. George Tillman, Jr., known for directing and producing The Hate You Give, will be directing the new series. The series will begin filming this June.

This new upcoming Disney+ series will be produced by Bob Teitel and Jay Marcus. The new series will be written and produced by Kwame Alexander, Damani Johnson, and Dee Johnson.

The Crossover is the coming of age story of basketball prodigy twins Filthy (aka Josh) and JB who learn that – even though they have so much that binds them together – growing up is all about discovering what makes us unique. Josh and his twin brother Jordan are awesome on the court, but Josh has more than basketball in his blood, he’s got mad beats, too, that tell his family’s story in verse, in this fast and furious middle grade novel of family and brotherhood from Kwame Alexander. Josh and Jordan must come to grips with growing up on and off the court to realize breaking the rules comes at a terrible price, as their story’s heart-stopping climax proves a game-changer for the entire family.

Goofy And Pluto Join Mickey And Minnie Greeting Guests In Epcot

Goofy and Pluto are ready to welcome you back at Epcot!

Ever since the parks reopened we have seen some modifications when it comes to shows and character interactions. Parades were modified to cavalcades during the day while character meet & greets were paused for a bit before slowly bringing back certain characters.

The park that has brought back more character interactions is Epcot, we have seen Joy, Pooh, Elsa, Alice and more recently Goofy and Pluto!

You can find them at the entrance of Epcot near the Spaceship Earth mural. They are happy to be greeting guests again and even taking pictures from a safe distance. Remember you have to wear your face mask at all times including when taking photographs.

The first characters to greet guests at the entrance were Mickey and Minnie! You can find them when Goofy and Pluto are taking a little break.

The times for these character appearances are random, so you will have to keep checking back during the day to see if you can catch them and say hello!

Pastel Mickey Whoopie Pie is too cute to eat

It’s officially Spring now! The arrival of Spring signifies a season of warmth and new flowers blooming after winter. The season is also a great time to visit Epcot for seeing their annual Flower & Garden Festival. Of course, we also recommend visiting the Disney World Resorts as well. Especially for checking out the seasonal desserts!

We went to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to try some of the springtime desserts at Gasparilla Island Grill. So, if you’re looking for fun Disney treat to try for Easter season, then we recommend the Pastel Mickey Whoopie Pie!

The whoopie pie consists of spring-colored vanilla icing sandwiched between buttery pastel vanilla sponge cakes. It costs $4.99 plus tax at Gasparilla Island Grill.

It’s quite a light and fluffy dessert. Not too sweet and amazing if you like the taste of vanilla. The pastel color helps make it quite a spectacular Easter dessert, too!

There’s a new ice cream spot at Universal Studios Florida. Häagen-Dazs just opened and we stopped by for a sweet treat. This new shop is located in the New York section of the theme park near the Irish store.

The inside of the new Häagen-Dazs is small and simple but still cute. There is seating inside.

They have a great selection of ice cream and you can also get smoothies, frappes, and shakes. They are added to Universal’s website and you can check hours there. They do accept the Universal Dining Plan.

Disney World Theme Park Hours added through June 5th

Walt Disney World theme park hours have now been added through June 5th! Take a look and see what the hours will be for early summer.

Disney World Theme Park Hours added through June 5th

Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 am to 6 pm which seems to be the norm for the park’s hours. We’ve seen hours get extended lately so these hours are tentative.

Epcot will be open daily from 11 am to 7 pm. Those hours are also the same for the previous weeks at Epcot.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open every day from 9 am to 7 pm. This week the park will be open a little longer than mid-May when the park is scheduled to be open from 10 am to 7 pm.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is sticking to its usual hours of 9 am to 5 pm.

Don’t forget, park hopper hours start at 2 pm and last until each park closes. Also keep in mind these hours are tentative and subject to change. We’ve been seeing park hours be extended a little at a time. We will update when and if these hours change.
