‘Harry Potter’ Star Helen McCrory Has Passed Away at Age 52. Harry Potter and Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory has passed away after her battle with cancer. McCrory played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise and Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders. Helen’s husband shared the news of her passing in a public statement which read:

“I’m heartbroken to announce that after an heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family. She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Helen McCrory at this time ?

Kenan Thompson Shares Update on the New ‘Home Alone‘ Disney+ Original Film. A sixth ‘Home Alone‘ movie is coming to Disney+! Not much has been revealed about the plot regarding the holiday film. So far it’s been that established that Archie Yates will play Max, a troublesome kid who has a great connection with adults, who goes to war with two parents who aren’t his.

Time will tell how Archie Yates’ Max will compare to Macauley Culkin’s Kevin McCallister. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing the triumphant return to this holiday movie franchise. Seeing a modern twist to the classic franchise might help this reboot find success on Disney+.

The highly anticipated title has recently finished filming in Canada and has entered post production. Home Alone 6 star Kenan Thompson shared an update on the film during an interview with ‘Watch What Happens Live. Thompson shared:

“It was a long shoot. It started in Canada and got shut down and then came back around because of the pandemic. It’s been very splotchy as far as trying to get it done is concerned. I think they’re getting very close to finishing it. I did ADR for it recently, so that’s usually one of the last steps. So, it’s coming out.”

Now through early September, guests can stop by Marketplace Co-Op to shop exclusive collections including the traditional Disney Cruise Line Wave and Sail Away Minnie Mouse collections, as well as a selection from Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island in The Bahamas.

Mads Mikkelsen Joins the Cast of ‘Indiana Jones 5‘. It seems Mads Mikkelsen is quickly becoming a top billing actor in Hollywood! Mikkelsen has just been cast in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 alongside Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (unspecified).

In addition, the inimitable John Williams will return to score the film, continuing a musical journey which began 40 years ago with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Williams’ unforgettable Indy soundtracks, packed with all the epic thrills, suspense, romance and excitement that fans have come to expect from an Indiana Jones movie, have become as beloved and familiar as the adventurer-hero’s signature hat and whip.

“I’m thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers,” said the film’s director James Mangold. “Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”

Kathleen Kennedy, Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel will serve as producers. Indy swings into theaters July 29, 2022. It’s a little earlier than we’re used to, but the Disney Hallmark Keepsake Collection for 2021 has been revealed! There are SO many beautiful designs and fan-favorite characters for everyone. There is everything from beloved classics, to pop culture faves. Plus there is also a new ornament stand and Disney Princess carousel. The majority of the collection will debut on July 10th at Hallmark.com!

First look at the new guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort cast members got a sneak peak at the new Moana rooms today. Polynesian Resort has been closed for well over a year now, shutting down the same time as all the other resorts when the pandemic hit. It never reopened with the rest of Disney World Resort, except for the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows for DVC members. Also open at the Polynesian is Lava pool, Capt. Cooks, Tambu Lounge Pineapple Lanai and Kona Café. Ohana remains closed along with Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

Check out some of the newest photos, including a surprise visit from Goofy and Pluto who were there to check out the new rooms. Right now Polynesian is scheduled to reopen in July of 2021.

Back in October travel agents received this message – As we continue to reopen additional Disney Resort hotels to Guests, we are modifying the reopening date for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort which will reopen next summer. This schedule adjustment also allows us to complete some refurbishment work at the Resort hotel, including enhancements to the Great Ceremonial House and Guest rooms. We expect work to begin in early October and look forward to sharing more about these changes in the future. The Villas and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will remain open during this refurbishment.

New concept model video just released of Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs

Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs is expected to open in the park in 2023. Tokyo Disney Resort debuted three videos showing parts of the exciting concept model of Fantasy Springs. This will be the eighth-themed port in Tokyo DisneySea, and it is also the largest ever since the opening of the park! Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs is expected to open in the park in 2023.

Fantasy Springs will include a Disney luxury/deluxe hotel and three separate areas, each dedicated to a different Walt Disney Animation Studios film: “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.” Attractions, restaurants, and immersive spaces will lead guests into the world of each story.

Disney Parks Blog goes onto say: The concept model you see in the videos is one-fiftieth of the actual size of the port. During the development process, Walt Disney Imagineering uses concept art, drawings, and models to plan out the arrangement and size of buildings and area development. The model is painted and shot from different angles to provide more concrete views of Fantasy Springs.

Disney is helping to save Florida’s Coral Reefs

Florida’s Coral Reefs are under attack by the rapid spread of stony coral tissue loss disease, which has put 22 coral species at risk of extinction. While disease outbreaks are not uncommon, this event is unique due to its large geographic range, extended duration, rapid progression, high rates of mortality, and the number of species affected. Disney aquatic wildlife experts and conservationists have been on a special mission to eliminate the spread.

In a post by Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President, Animals, Science and Environment, Disney Parks. He explains how Disney and others are working together in this endeavor.

By joining forces with the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, and the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, NOAA Fisheries, and SeaWorld, we’ve been able to establish the Florida Coral Rescue Center in Orlando, the largest facility of its kind in the U.S. to care for and safeguard some of the most vulnerable species of Florida coral.

The Florida Coral Rescue Center provides a safe, stable environment for the 745 coral specimens and their offspring currently in their care. The Center’s goal is to one day return these rescued corals back to the ocean so they can help restore underwater ecosystems, which are essential to hundreds of marine life who rely on them for their well-being.

We look forward to sharing updates on the work of the Florida Coral Rescue Center as the team continues to make progress. Learn more about the AZA-Florida Reef Tract Rescue Project.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort covered with scrim as Room Refurbishment begins

Contemporary Resort has started the refurbishment we first reported on back in February. While some Main Tower rooms will be unavailable during the refurbishment, most resort areas and amenities will still be available for guests to enjoy. The scrim installation is there to keep the dust and debris away from guests as they enjoy the lobby areas. The monorail will still be running daily.

As you can see in the photos, the inside of the Contemporary Resort resembles the inside of a brown paper bag. Or the inside of a pirate ship. We have not settled on exactly which one. We have not heard the official word, but the rumor and leaked photos point to an Incredibles theme for some rooms. Photos also showed some Incredibles artwork in the halls. Only time will tell now that the refurbishment has started. This the start of another major renovation for a Monorail loop resort. Polynesian Resort is undergoing a Moana transformation.

Guests have been waiting all day to get tickets to Disneyland

Disneyland tickets and vacation packages became available to purchase today though the system is having some issues. Guests have been waiting all day to get through online.

Guests attempting to purchase tickets and make a park reservation we’re out into a virtual waiting room for accessing the reservation system.

Many have encountered an approximate wait time of more than an hour. For some, that has turned into 7+ hours of waiting.

Keep in mind, just because the site is having issues doesn’t mean tickets are sold out or that all park reservations are gone. Also remember that for now, only California residents are allowed to visit the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort.

Dole whip has been a fan favorite treat at Disney Parks for many years, and now you can turn this yummy treat into a boozy one by adding some coconut rum! You can also skip the booze if you want to make some pops for the kids at home.

Making them is super easy, just follow this recipe from Delish.com, we are sure everyone will love them!

BOOZY DOLE WHIP POPS

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups of frozen pineapple
3/4 cups of coconut milk
1/2 cup of coconut rum
1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk
15 (3oz) dixie cups
Toasted shredded coconut
15 popsicle sticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

Blend frozen pineapple, coconut milk, rum, and sweetened condensed milk in a blender until smooth.
Pour into Dixie cups and top with toasted coconut, then place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup. Freeze until solid, at least 5 hours.
When ready to serve, cut open Dixie cup with scissors and peel them away from the pops.
