The highly anticipated April Stitch Crashes Disney collection has been delayed! “The Little Mermaid” inspired Stitch assortment was supposed to debut today April 16th, but it never appeared. It was nowhere to be seen on shopDisney or at the Disney Parks.
Nothing was said, and the page was changed to simply say check back soon. We don’t know when the collection will make it’s appearance, but we hope it’s soon! We also can’t wait to see the Pinocchio inspired Stitch collection that is supposed to debut in May!
Keep your eyes peeled to shopDisney.com if you’re after this collection, because they could release info at any time!
Some Disney fans don’t really need another excuse to go drinking at the parks, but here we go! Splitsville has just opened an adorable addition to the Disney Springs bar scene: the Bamboo Bar! If you love Tiki-inspired cocktails, you can’t afford to miss out on this one.
It’s been a few weeks since the walls surrounding the new outdoor patio came down to reveal this patio at Splitsville. But we had to wait to find out what we were looking at. Finally, we know it’s the Bamboo Bar, which is now open! Lovers of frozen cocktails will have their hands full deciding what they want to drink from this place. Frozen drinks like Piña Coladas and Rum Runners are on tap. Other drinks include “Resort Classics” like the Delgado Margarita and Tiki Punch. Or you could have a “Specialty Cocktail” such as a Mojito or a Coconut Margarita. Are you still reading or did you head to Disney Springs yet?
Our ?????? ??? is now open & we've got an array of NEW resort cocktails that are calling your name. From our on-tap frozens to our Tiki-inspired cocktails, you'll be kicking back & relaxing in no time!
If cocktails aren’t your thing, the Bamboo Bar still has your back. You can order draft or bottled beers, or wine by the glass or bottle. There are even non-alcoholic options like ICEEs and Coca-Cola products.
Splitsville is located by one of the entrances to the Orange Parking Garage. Stop in before you hit the bar and bowl a few frames at a vintage bowling alley that is unlike any other. The Bamboo Bar will be waiting for you with Tiki drinks galore!

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are reopening at the end of the month. With that reopening comes some changes to policies and procedures at the parks. Things like face masks are now required, social distancing markers will be placed throughout the parks, and capacity will be limited. Another policy change we just noticed says that guests using profanity or offensive language will be removed from the parks.
This doesn’t mean a guest who lets slip a profanity while conversing with their family and friends will be escorted from the park. The new policy states guests “using profanity or offensive language towards our Cast Members or other Guests” will be removed from the park. You can find this information on the Disneyland website.
So, while you visit Disneyland, remember you are in the Happiest Place on Earth. Using profanity and/or offensive language towards others is not magical and will bring your day to an unhappy end.
Remember, until further notice only California residents are allowed to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Park reservations are also required along with valid admission to enter a park.
The Disneyland Resort is reopening soon and that doesn’t just mean thrilling attractions and a magical atmosphere. That also means delicious Disney food! Take a look at what tasty treats are returning to the parks and where you can find them.
Are you craving the Disney classics? Find hand-dipped corn dogs at Little Red Wagon and Award Wieners. The Tropical Hideaway will serve up your DOLE Whip. And of course, CHURROS, CHURROS, CHURROS! Look for fluffernutter, s’mores, strawberry cheesecake, milk & cookies, and the original cinnamon sugar at various churro carts in both parks. Popular items from A Touch of Disney will also be available – 1/2 Monte Cristo, Brisket Mac ‘n Cheese, and S’mores Shake at Smokejumpers Grill.
Lamplight Lounge, Café Orleans, and other full-service locations will open with limited seating capacity for guests with confirmed theme park reservations and tickets for the same park on the same date.
For added convenience and to promote contactless payment, don’t forget to download or update the Disneyland mobile app, as this is the primary way to order food and beverages at most quick-service dining locations. And exciting news – Disneyland is now offering mobile check-in and mobile wait-list at select full-service locations, available on the Disneyland mobile app!

The theme parks at the Disneyland Resort are finally reopening later this month! A fan favorite snack is also returning to Disneyland with this reopening. Dole Whips are back!
Imagineers and Cast Members are hard at work preparing for the reopening of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Some Cast Members are even back at work at the treat stations inside the parks! The Disney Parks Tik Tok account shared a video of Cast Members testing out the Disneyland Dole Whip machines making sure they are ready for guests returning to the parks.
Dole Whip is a pineapple soft serve treat that is both gluten-free and vegan. It has been a park staple since Disneyland’s Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland began serving it in 1986. There are also other flavors of Dole Whip that can be found in both Disneyland Resort parks.
Guests returning to Disneyland will be happy to know that their favorite refreshing treat will be waiting for them!
Today we have a delicious drink inspired by our favorite mouse lady! A Minnie Mouse Frappuccino!

Disney Chairman Bob Iger to Receive Clio Award. Awards season has remained affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and like many awards events, The Clio Awards are set to host a virtual event to honor excellence in advertising across the sports, fashion, music, entertainment, cannabis and health industries.
This year, The Walt Disney Company Executive Chairman Bob Iger has been chosen as a recipient for the 2021 Clio Awards. Bob Iger is expected to accept his award during a fireside chat with moderator, and President of Marketing for Disney Studios Content, Asad Ayaz during the virtual awards event on April 28th.
“It’s no secret that the awards business was completely upended last year, but our team rose to the challenge and leaned into virtual events and new content offerings at Muse by Clio with great success,” shared Nicole Purcell (CEO of the Clio Awards). “However, with our main Clio Awards celebration we really wanted to push the envelope and offer the community something unexpected.”
Recently Chip and Co took a peek at construction area for a Tron Lightcycle Run construction update as the highly anticipated coaster in the Magic Kingdom is getting closer to completion! We can see the coaster itself really taking shape!
Check out the latest photos and Instagram video below!
You can clearly see the track emerging, including all the dips and turns, particularly as it passes under the “curved wave” known as the Upload Conduit, shown in the image!
For those unfamiliar with TRON or the ride; the first TRON attraction debuted at Shanghai Disneyland when the park opened in 2016. The ride named “TRON Lightcycle Power Run” is a roller coaster adventure through a semi-enclosed structure in Tomorrowland, Shanghai Disneyland. However, it’s official name for the Magic Kingdom is Tron Lightcycle Run!
Featuring the iconic lightcycle vehicles shown in both of the TRON movies. This ride will take you on an exhilarating adventure, featuring highspeed turns and dips. The perfect attraction to commemorate Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary next year in 2021! Many fans are eager to see the new TRON ride and so are we! Stay tuned for more of the Tron Lightcycle Run Construction update at Chip and Co!
Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Shares ‘Loki’ Disney+ Series is a Crime Thriller. Marvel Fans are gearing up for the premiere of ‘Loki’ coming exclusively to Disney+ on June 11th. The series has raised a lot of questions for fans, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has shared that the series will be a “crime thriller” while speaking with IMDbrief.
“[WandaVision] is probably the most overt level — black and white, old fashioned aspect ratio — but every show that we’re working on I think is about creative swings for both Marvel Studios, the MCU and television. So I’m very excited about what we’ve already shown on Falcon and The Winter Solider — that is a very big scale epic action buddy series that we’re excited about. Loki, we’ve not said much about, but is intriguingly different and I think we’ve called it a ‘crime thriller’ — which is not something you would necessarily think of when it came to Loki.”
The series and MCU star Tom Hiddleston recently graced the cover of Empire magazine and opened up about his role as Loki for the past decade. Hiddleston shared that we will get to see Loki “transform” both physically and theoretically. Tom told Empire:
“I want to preserve the freshness of the show for when it emerges, but something to think about is the [show’s] logo, which seems to refresh and restore. The font of how ‘Loki’ is spelled out seems to keep changing shape. Loki is the quintessential shapeshifter. His mercurial nature is that you don’t know whether, across the MCU, he’s a hero or a villain or an anti-hero. You don’t know whether you can trust him. He literally and physically changes shape into an Asgardian guard, or into Captain America repeatedly. Thor talks about how he could change into a snake.”
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.
Are you excited for the Loki series coming to Disney+? Do you think Loki will have a change of heart and work on becoming a hero or will he go down the villainous route once again, but this time emboldened with the new knowledge he possesses? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments and be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for update and all things Marvel Studios!
Today is a day to celebrate as Universal Studios Hollywood officially reopens, welcoming guests back to the theme park to experience its dynamic thrill rides and attractions, including the all-new “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!” and “Jurassic World—The Ride,” which features the spectacularly realistic new dinosaur, Indominus rex.
The momentous occasion kicked off yesterday for Annual and Season Pass Members who were treated to a special park preview.
While most rides will be operational, some rides and attractions will reopen at a later date as the theme park complies with government restrictions. Universal Studios Hollywood continues to work in partnership with health and government officials to implement new health and safety procedures that include controlled capacity to enforce physical distancing and required face coverings. In accordance with government guidelines, only California residents may visit the theme park at this time and party size is limited to three households.
“We have been looking forward to this moment for over a year and are incredibly thrilled to reopen our theme park today,” said Karen Irwin, President & COO, Universal Studios Hollywood. “There is certainly lots to celebrate and we are overjoyed to return team members to work and welcome guests back to enjoy a Universal Studios Hollywood experience that is better than ever.”
Tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood are on sale for California residents only and can be purchased here. The theme park is continuing to celebrate Annual and Season Pass Members with a series of complimentary Bonus Days on select days through Sunday, May 16; these Bonus Days can be reserved here by Annual and Season Pass Members. Annual and Season Pass Members will be able to resume regular use of their passes starting on Monday, May 17.
After more than a year of closure, Universal Studios Hollywood is ready for its close-up and calling “action” on the all-new “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!” and “Jurassic World—The Ride,” which features the spectacularly realistic new dinosaur, Indominus rex.
A stroll along the cleverly themed Pets Place will bring guests to the front of Katie’s NYC apartment building where the innovative “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!” ride resides.
This all-new tech-savvy adventure inspired by Illumination’s blockbuster The Secret Life of Pets films, answers the question, “What are your pets really doing when you’re not at home?”
This impressive new ride combines 64 technologically-advanced animated figures with hyper-realistic media and projection mapping designed to take guests on a journey to meet some of their favorite Illumination characters from the movies, including Max, Snowball, Gidget, Chloe and Duke, along with a host of other animal friends, who have all been transformed and transported into the live-action world. From blinking eyes to eyebrow movements, from head tilts to head nods, from moving mouths to smiles, from ear curls to lip curls, from full torso twists to physically walking, the depth of mobility and function programmed within each of these loveable characters creates an experience unlike any other theme park ride.
The grand reopening of Universal Studios Hollywood also brings guests face-to-face with “Jurassic World—The Ride’s” all-new, extraordinarily realistic dinosaur, the Indominus rex, who stakes her claim at the ride’s finale in a forceful battle with her arch-rival, the Tyrannosaurus rex.
Breaking new ground with highly complex innovations, this fully-articulated lifelike Indominus injects intense new thrills, excitement and intrigue to the already dynamic ride. Spanning nearly 55 feet horizontally from head to tail and over 22 feet vertically, the Indominus’ imposing presence will be amplified by the fluidity of her motions and synchronized movements that deliver an unprecedented level of authenticity. From the subtle blinking of her eyes, the flexing of her arms and claws and clenching of her jaw as she bears her razor-sharp teeth, the colossal Indominus rex will lunge from her hillside setting, stalking guests just before they descend the giant waterfall drop to escape her grasp.
Of course, these new experiences are among the many welcoming attractions and themed environments that await guests upon their return to Universal Studios Hollywood, including “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” which features a bustling Hogsmeade village and the critically-acclaimed rides, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” and “Flight of the Hippogriff™”, “Transformers™: The Ride-3D,” “Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride,” Despicable Me’s “Super Silly Fun Land,” and “Springfield, U.S.A.,” home of America’s favorite animated family, “The Simpsons.” The theme park’s signature attraction and world-renowned Studio Tour, which takes guests behind-the-scenes of an authentic production movie and television studio and where they can experience such thrill rides as “Fast & Furious—Supercharged” and “King Kong 360 3D,” will also open.
The safety and well-being of guests and team members is a top priority for Universal Studios Hollywood, and the following guidelines outline the theme park’s new health and safety protocols, also highlighted in this video and detailed on the Universal Studios Hollywood website.
Temperature checks for all Guests upon arrival. If temperatures exceed 100.4° Fahrenheit / 38° Celsius or greater, Guests will not be permitted to enter.
Face coverings required for all Guests throughout their visit. Face coverings also will be available for purchase.
Controlled capacity within the theme park, and limited occupancy at all CityWalk venues to help enforce physical distancing. Some areas and programs may remain temporarily closed.
Rigorous cleaning and disinfecting at all food locations, restrooms, and all other high touch points.
Physical distancing practices at all locations throughout the park and at rides and attractions.
Eating and drinking permitted only in designated dining areas.
