Kenan Thompson Shares Update on the New ‘Home Alone‘ Disney+ Original Film. A sixth ‘Home Alone‘ movie is coming to Disney+! Not much has been revealed about the plot regarding the holiday film. So far it’s been that established that Archie Yates will play Max, a troublesome kid who has a great connection with adults, who goes to war with two parents who aren’t his.
Time will tell how Archie Yates’ Max will compare to Macauley Culkin’s Kevin McCallister. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing the triumphant return to this holiday movie franchise. Seeing a modern twist to the classic franchise might help this reboot find success on Disney+.
The highly anticipated title has recently finished filming in Canada and has entered post production. Home Alone 6 star Kenan Thompson shared an update on the film during an interview with ‘Watch What Happens Live. Thompson shared:
“It was a long shoot. It started in Canada and got shut down and then came back around because of the pandemic. It’s been very splotchy as far as trying to get it done is concerned. I think they’re getting very close to finishing it. I did ADR for it recently, so that’s usually one of the last steps. So, it’s coming out.”
