Happy May the Fourth! To celebrate Star Wars Day, we are sharing how you can experience Star Wars on the Disney Cruise Line. Take a look at some of the fantastic ways you can travel to a galaxy far, far away on a Disney ship!

Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge is coming to the newest ship, Disney Wish, setting sail summer of 2022. This lounge is the first-of-its-kind Star Wars-themed space for adults on a Disney ship. Every evening, this high-end bar styled as a luxurious yacht-class spaceship is reserved exclusively for adults. For the first time on one of Disney’s ships, you can embark on a space-jumping tour of the Star Wars galaxy with interactive tasting experiences and signature beverages inspired by the films.

The venue’s sleek interior design and metallic detailing is inspired by lavish star cruisers similar to Dryden Vos’ ship in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” While you sip your galactic concoctions, this space-faring voyage will transport you to iconic locations from the eras of the Republic, Empire and First Order, employing hyperspace jumps to travel from planet to planet while sensational scenes unfold just beyond the ship’s panoramic viewport at each stop.

Ranging from serene vistas to action-packed encounters, the spectacles seen through this virtual “window” into the galaxy will feature famous space ships from the films and fan-favorite locales like Batuu, Tatooine, Mustafar and Coruscant. The experience will be amplified by surround-sound audio and a holotube that presents holographic models of nearby ships.

While we’re talking Star Wars, did you know that Disney Cruise Line will once again offer Star Wars Day at Sea in early 2022? Yep, the force will be with you during select seven-night Caribbean cruises aboard the Disney Fantasy. Here are some of our favorite things about this intergalactic experience:

The entire day is filled with Star Wars excitement—costume celebrations, movie screenings, family trivia, a ship-wide scavenger hunt and youth club fun with BB-8!
You can meet over a dozen Star Wars characters, like Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO and Darth Vader and more. You may even have a surprise run-in with roaming characters such as Boba Fett, Jawas and First Order Stormtroopers.
There’s an incredible deck show starring Rey and other popular characters that concludes with a fireworks spectacle set to John Williams’ Star Wars score. What a way to end an unforgettable day!

Last up, we want to share with you two of our favorite kid’s places to visit when we’re on a Disney cruise. Aboard two of Disney’s ships, kids can have their own Star Wars experience inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club.

On the Disney Dream, kids can design a starship, train like a Jedi or climb into Han Solo’s cockpit in Star Wars: Millennium Falcon. And on the Disney Fantasy, they can train with Jedi or X-Wing pilots, connect to legendary spacecrafts via an interactive “holotable” and combat First Order Stormtroopers face-to-face at Star Wars: Command Post.

Disney is going big for May the 4th also known as Star Wars Day at Disney World & Disneyland. In celebration they are rolling out new Star Wars Merch for fans of all ages.

Lets take a look at some of the new items releasing today for Star Wars Day!

First up, no May the 4^th celebration would be complete without the signature “May The 4^th Be With You” logo! Each year Disney designers create a new look, and this year may be one of our favorites! It includes a stormtrooper and Imperial Pilot along with the fastest “hunk of junk” in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon!

The latest legacy lightsaber hilt is here, but this one is like no other… Wrapped in orange cloth and bundled with the reforged Skywalker lightsaber hilt, General Leia Organa’s lightsaber hilt is packaged up in a limited edition box set of 3,000 inspired by the emotional final scene of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” It even plays the iconic “Force” theme when opened!

Today also marks the premiere of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the new Lucasfilm animated series on Disney+! The show follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. New Very Rare Atlantis MagicBand spotted at Disney World

Atlantis MagicBand limited to 500 showed up yesterday at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The release coincides with the 20th anniversary of Atlantis: The Lost Empires. It was available as of yesterday for $34.99 at the Emporium on Main Street. We were able to see it in person and get some photos and video which you can see below.

Below you can see the inside of the MagicBand box and see the movie’s original artwork that appeared on movie posters and DVD covers. Featuring the cast of Milo, Kida, Dr. Strongbear, The Mole, and Vinny. With The Ulysses ship in the background.

On the outside of the MagicBand you can see the movie logo and below it is Milo with Kidagakash “Kida” Nedakh

On the opposite side of the Atlantis MagicBand is Audrey, Vinny, and “The Mole”.

Construction is now complete at Disney’s Beach Club Entrance

Disney’s Beach Club Entrance construction is now finished. This entrance is the one coming from the Skyliner, Boardwalk side. It looks like all the heavy equipment and nighttime lighting stands have been removed and the area is open and ready to go.

New pavement was installed, and some work on the disability ramps was done. Also, the stairs and back deck had some work done. We took a walkover from Epcot to get some photos for you to see the fresh updated look.

Discover the casual elegance of this charming, New England-style Resort hotel. Savor exquisite dining, and explore the pools, lagoons, and spas of Stormalong Bay. Sail around Crescent Lake on a rented mini-powerboat, and experience the luxurious comfort of a Club Level Suite. Sharing many amenities with its more formal sister, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Star Wars happenings at Walt Disney World for Star Wars Day

Happy Star Wars Day! In celebration of May the 4th we wanted to share with you some of the Star Wars happenings at Walt Disney World in honor of this special day.

But first the biggest news has to be just moments ago we received more details on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience coming to Walt Disney World in 2022, including details on a real life lightsaber!

Star Wars Galactic Outpost at Disney Springs and select locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are showcasing new merchandise available starting today (while supplies last), including apparel featuring the new Disney+ series “The Bad Batch” (also debuting today).

There are also new items from the Rainbow Star Wars Collection, as well as new Star Tours-inspired Disney Parks Wishables including R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Today and tomorrow, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is offering special Star Wars-themed desserts and beverages available at select locations throughout the park, including the new Dark Side Chocolate Creation and returning favorite Lightsaber Churro. Also, through tomorrow, Disney Springs will offer the Grogu Mini Dome Cake at Amorette’s Patisserie and the Millennium Falcon Chocolate Pop at The Ganachery.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will take you to a galaxy far, far away for an all-immersive, two-night vacation experience that goes beyond anything Disney has ever created before. What exactly does “all-immersive” mean? Well, in honor of May the 4^th, Disney shares with us a little hint on what to expect…

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will fully immerse guests in a galaxy far, far away when it debuts in 2022 at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, going beyond anything Disney has ever created before. As part of this first-of-its-kind vacation experience, guests become the heroes of their own stories during a two-day, two-night adventure where they see, feel and live Star Wars.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser invites guests into a new kind of “storyliving” as they travel the galaxy in style aboard the glamorous Halcyon starcruiser, known for its impeccable service and exotic destinations. They will stay in well-appointed cabins, experience exquisite dining and out-of-this-world entertainment, visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and much more.

Throughout the journey, guests’ choices will determine their personal adventures by interacting with characters, crew and other passengers they meet as they become part of the action and the broader Star Wars saga. Decisions guests make will determine how their individual stories unfold as they seize control of their destinies – and potentially impact the fate of the galaxy.

Launch from Walt Disney World Resort

The adventure begins when guests arrive at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser terminal at Walt Disney World and check in for their two-night experience.
Guests will enter a Launch Pod to begin their Star Wars Through windows above, they’ll see themselves leave their world behind as they jump into hyperspace and draw closer and closer to the massive and magnificent Halcyon starcruiser.
When the Launch Pod docks with the starcruiser and the airlock opens, guests will step into the ship’s main deck Atrium to begin their journey through a galaxy far, far away.

An All-Immersive Experience

A visit aboard the Halcyon starcruiser plunges guests into a multi-day, interactive story that interweaves with members of the crew, other passengers, familiar Star Wars characters and others. Guests may encounter the starcruiser’s strong and charismatic captain, the ship’s plucky mechanic, heroes of the Resistance or many more as they choose alliances and chart their courses.
The all-immersive experience features enthralling onboard activities, such as:
- Learning the ancient ways of the lightsaber and facing off against a training remote, where guests may discover their own connection with the Force.
- Visiting the starcruiser’s Bridge to learn about its systems and how to operate them, including navigation and defense – skills that may come in handy during a journey through this adventure-filled galaxy.
Guests will find refreshment each day in an enticing supper club known as the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. This bright and welcoming hall will offer breakfast and lunch daily to passengers before transitioning each evening into a lavish multi-course menu of both otherworldly and familiar origins.
- One night’s dinner will feature a live performance from a galactic superstar who can captivate an entire room with the crook of her jewel-encrusted purple Twi’lek finger.
The journey also includes an excursion to Batuu, where guests can explore the winding pathways of Black Spire Outpost and seek out a hidden Resistance base.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser guests will be the first to see characters like Rey wield a brand-new, more realistic lightsaber designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development to create dramatic in-person moments previously only seen in films or shows.
Every window in the Halcyon starcruiser – including those in each cabin – has a view of the galaxy beyond, with ever-changing vistas as the ship progresses from destination to destination.
Guests will be able to explore the starcruiser and perhaps discover hidden spaces deep in the mechanics of the ship – perfect for uncovering secrets … or holding clandestine meetings.
The Crown of Corellia Dining Room is named for Corellia, the planet known galaxy-wide for the shipyards that created not only the Halcyon starcruiser, but also the famed Millennium Falcon.
For a limited time, guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now see a model of the Halcyon starcruiser on display inside Walt Disney Presents.

Disney responds to Gov DeSantis order on removing Covid Restrictions

Yesterday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order ending all COVID-19 restrictions in the state immediately. The order applies to all government restrictions but businesses can still enforce their own measures like requiring masks and physical distancing.

Disney has since responded to the state’s COVID changes. Disney sent out a push notification on the My Disney Experience app.

The notification read:

“Important Information: We are aware of the state of Florida’s plans announced today to modify COVID-19 guidelines. We will evaluate this latest guidance and maintain our current health safety measures at this time, including face covering requirements. We will continue to make thoughtful adjustments to our policy. As COVID-19 vaccines become available, we encourage people to get vaccinated.”

Walt Disney World is a private business and can enact its own health and safety policies. For now, face masks will continue to be required and physical distancing will remain in place.

Limited Edition “Up” Balloon Spotted in Disney Springs

Disney balloons are perfect. There’s something idyllic about strolling around Walt Disney World with a floating Mickey Mouse balloon (of any color!) or your favorite Disney Princess. We didn’t think there was a way to improve the experience until we saw the latest balloon in Disney Springs. Guys, it’s an “Up” balloon. In other words, it looks like a bunch of tiny balloons tied together, carrying Carl and Ellie’s house below it. This is the apex for balloons.

Limited Edition “Up” Balloon Spotted in Disney Springs

The big body of the balloon is the top part with all the mini balloons painted on it. Underneath that is a smaller body, which looks like the house with Carl and Russell standing in front. The whole thing is bright and modern, just like the Pixar film that inspired it.

If you’re hoping to grab one of these for yourself, you’ll have to make it an early trip. Only 30 of these will be sold a day, and they are sure to be popular. While $17 may seem to be a lot of money for a balloon, just remember that these helium balloons last a long time. Tie it to your stroller and you won’t have to worry about losing it in a maze of parked prams again. Unless all 30 balloons go to people with the same stroller as you, which I doubt.

The “Up” balloons are currently available in the Town Center of Disney Springs, near Uniqlo and Under Armour. If you are lucky enough to snag one, be sure and let us know!

Disney under fire for Nonconsensual “True Love’s Kiss” Scene in Snow White’s Enchanted Wish

Disneyland recently updated and reimagined the classic Snow White’s Scary Adventures attraction. The ride is now Snow White’s Enchanted Wish and is brighter than before. One of the new scenes near the end of the ride is the famous “true love’s kiss” scene with Snow White and the prince.

Now, Disney is under fire for adding that scene to the ride. Those criticizing the scene believe it shouldn’t have been added because Snow White could not consent to being kissed. Acts of physical contact are often considered nonconsensual when one or more parties is asleep, inebriated, or otherwise not of sound mind.

Beginning May 7th, eligible and interested Cast Members can apply to become part of the 2022-2023 Walt Disney World Ambassador team that will represent Walt Disney World Resort during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” which begins October 1, 2021.

Marvel’s Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam Visit Disneyland for Grand Reopening. Several stars made their way to the grand reopening of Disneyland after a year of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Celebrity couple, Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill in the MCU) and Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live!) were some of the first to spend a magical day in Disneyland Park.
