Producer Shawn Levy Shares Update on 'Night at the Museum' Animated Movie

Producer Shawn Levy Shares Update on ‘Night at the Museum‘ Animated Movie. Shawn Levy is one of the most in-demand directors and producers in Hollywood, with nearly a dozen projects in the works and running his own studio (21 Laps Entertainment). During a recent press event for his new movie, Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds, Levy shared an update with Collider regarding the upcoming ‘Night at the Museum‘ animated movie coming to Disney+.

Related: Ryan Reynolds stars in Adventure Comedy ‘Free Guy’

Levy shared with Collider‘s Steve Weintraub, “It is in production. Production and animation is a very different process. I am very actively in hands-on, producing that. I’ve seen two of the three acts in animation form. It is somehow its own thing, but very, very loyal to the legacy of those characters in that title. So happening, and will be on Disney+ next year in 2022.”

The new film is named “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again” and reportedly, will feature Nick Daley, Larry Daley’s son, as an adult and taking over the job as the Museum’s Night Guard from his father. The film will see the return of Kamunrah (Hank Azaria) from the second live-action film, as Nick navigates his new role. Currently, no other actors or characters from the original live-action trilogy have been announced for the film and according to the report, Disney is looking to add some fresh faces to the franchise. One such character being Joan of Arc as Nick’s confidant, much to the parallel of Robin William’s Theodore Roosevelt for Larry in the original film.

Ryan Reynolds Shares that Blake Lively Helped Write the Script for ‘Deadpool’

Ryan Reynolds Shares that Blake Lively Helped Write the Script for 'Deadpool'

Ryan Reynolds Shares that Blake Lively Helped Write the Script for ‘Deadpool’. Recently, actor Ryan Reynolds spoke with Sirius XM host Jess Cagle about his upcoming projects Free Guy and the move to Marvel Studios for Deadpool 3. While talking about his new movies Ryan shared a tidbit about his input on the movies he is a part of and explained that his wife Blake Lively often has input on lines and scenes for his movies.

Related: Every Movie Coming From Disney and Co. From 2021 to 2028

Reynolds also shares that despite him giving his wife credit when talking to executives and the press that a lot of the time studios and platforms refuse to acknowledge her involvement even though some of the best lines have been co-written by the famous couple. Ryan told Jess that Blake actually helped to pen lines in the Deadpool franchise, explaining to Cagle:

I write on a lot of my movies. It’s been a survival mechanism for me for a long time. Sometimes I’m credited, sometimes I’m not… There’s a lot of A++ writing that I’ve done that was actually Blake — that Blake would jump in, grab the keyboard, and ‘What about this?’ And I’d be like, ‘That’s incredible.’ And you know, it’s funny. I don’t know. Maybe it’s ’cause there’s inherent sexism in the business — I will say that a lot of times, ‘She wrote that — Blake like, wrote that not me. That was was her.’ And it’s like, they still, later on, repeat the story as I wrote it.

Our big question now is: Will Blake help write ‘Deadpool 3’ and get the credit she deserves? We can’t wait to hear an update regarding the upcoming Marvel movie, so be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things Marvel!

Halloween Horror Night Displays starting to spring to life at Universal Orlando. We were at Universal Studios Orlando yesterday and got a sneak peek at some of the stages being set up for HHN30. From some of the set pieces already set up, we are getting more and more excited. Furthermore, with last year’s HHN being pretty much canceled for the pandemic and getting only limited houses, this year looks to be an amazing return to form for Universal and Halloween Horror Nights.

Check out some of the images of Halloween Horror Night Displays around the park below.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closing for refurbishment in September

The attraction, located in Frontierland, is known as the wildest ride in the wilderness. From the Disneyland website:

“Legend has it that after gold was discovered in the 1850s, eerie incidents took place in the mine. Trains would take off and race through tunnels… by themselves.

As you enter the cursed cavern, your train speeds up along the rickety track. Shoot under a booming waterfall and dodge a falling boulder from an unexpected landslide as you swoop around sharp turns and drop into desolate canyons.”

INSTRUCTIONS:

Donald and Daisy Coasters
  • Using your hot glue gun, add a small drop of glue to the end of the rope. Then, tightly curl it back and hold until the glue dries.
Donald and Daisy Coasters
  • Continue looping the rope around itself, glueing along the bottom as you go (this way you won’t see the glue on the top). Hold the rope swirl on a flat surface (instead of in your hand) to ensure a flat finish.
Donald and Daisy Coasters
  • Once the swirl is at the desired size, trim off the rope, add another drop of glue, then press it down to the side of the coaster.
  • Turn the coaster over and add some extra glue in any places that need it. Let dry.
Donald and Daisy Coasters
  • Cut out 4 yellow feet, a teal and brown hat, and a pink bow from the felt.
Donald and Daisy Coasters
  • Paint the faces and details of Donald and Daisy onto the coasters. Let dry.
  • Glue the feet to the back of the coasters so they’re sticking out just a little at the bottom. Then, glue Donald’s hat on the front and slightly to the side and Daisy’s bow at the middle front. Let dry.
  • Paint a layer of sealant over the paint to help it last. Let dry.

Now you have some adorable Donald and Daisy coasters to use all year long!

Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

The new series is set to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things entertainment!
