Marvel Studios Confirms ‘Deadpool 3‘ is the Only Film “In the Works” with R-Rating. After the Disney-Fox merger, Marvel fans, specifically Deadpool fans, were concerned that the “Merc with a Mouth” would lose his R-rated films. In a shocking move, Disney and Marvel Studios announced that Deadpool 3 would get to keep the adult rating, and we presume there is a good chance a fourth wall breaking Wade Wilson will share a jab or two about the merger (and we can’t wait to hear it!)

Though the only news regarding the third film is its R-rating and the return of Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, we were curious if Marvel Studios would consider exploring more adult content in other Marvel projects. For now, that answer seems to be a resounding “No.”
THR’s Aaron Couch shared a tidbit from a recent interview with Marvel Studios President and CCO Kevin Feige speaking on the matter, tweeting: “Feige says other than [Deadpool 3], there are still no plans to explore R-ratings for the MCU. Naturally, if there is a story where that would make sense, sure they would discuss it. (i.e. don’t hold your breath for an R-rated Marvel project outside of Deadpool)“

Are you happy to hear Marvel will not be heavily censoring content in Deadpool 3? Do you wish Marvel would consider more adult content in the future or do you appreciate they make the films audience friendly? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
