The Inquisitr is reporting another perk that might become available for Annual Passholders. They soon may be able to bypass the long security lines at the Parks.
Within the past years, the security checkpoints at the Magic Kingdom have changed locations in an effort to cut down on the lines at the entrance to the Park. Guests who are going to the Magic Kingdom from one of the three Monorail Resorts or the Transportation & Ticket Center receive their security check prior to getting on the Monorail or ferry boat.
While Annual Passholders already have their own dedicated entrance at each of the Parks, they still have to go through the sometimes long security screening process. The Inquisitr says, “Since the majority of Annual Passholders are those who visit the WDW parks quite frequently, this would make sense as those guests know exactly what can and can’t enter with them. Not only would this speed up the process for them, but it would take more out of the security lines and speed up everything for everyone as well.”
This process would be similar to the TSA pre-screening programs such as Clear or PreCheck line at airports. These programs enable frequent-fliers to go through an expedited security screening process prior to their flights.
Of course, nothing is official until Disney confirms it. But, Disney is constantly trying to find ways to make visits to the Parks more enjoyable for Guests.
