Disney and TelevisaUnivision have announced a significant multi-region distribution partnership, poised to revolutionize access to Spanish-language content for consumers in both the United States and Mexico. This strategic collaboration aims to provide unprecedented choice and accessibility, bringing the most-watched Spanish-language programming to a broader audience.

A key component of the new agreement will see TelevisaUnivision’s leading U.S. networks – including Univision, UniMás, TUDN, and Galavisión – launching on the Hulu + Live TV core channel lineup beginning June 3, 2025. This timely integration arrives just ahead of major sporting events like the highly-anticipated FIFA Club World Cup and Concacaf Gold Cup, granting Hulu + Live TV subscribers immediate access to the nation’s premier Spanish-language content, spanning scripted and unscripted series, news, sports, and live entertainment.

Furthermore, additional TelevisaUnivision channels such as N+FORO, TLNovelas, Bandamax, De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, and Telehit Música will subsequently be added to the Español add-on for Hulu + Live TV subscribers, further enriching the diverse content offerings.

Beyond the U.S. expansion, the partnership also extends to Mexico. Starting early June, Disney+ and ViX will be available as a combined offering, allowing ViX users in Mexico to access Disney+ content as part of their existing subscription.

Rafael Urbina, President of Streaming and Digital at TelevisaUnivision, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We’re thrilled to enter into this new partnership with Disney that puts our community at the center,” Urbina stated. “TelevisaUnivision is the top producer of Spanish-language content in the world, and this deal underscores two critically important elements: our portfolio is a main anchor for any pay TV distributor—without TelevisaUnivision, there is no complete pay-tv offering; and our direct-to-consumer business continues to break boundaries as ViX further strengthens its powerful connection to Hispanics around the world.”

Our Review of Disney’s Live-Action “Lilo & Stitch”

Ohana means family, and Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” premiere at Disney Springs was truly a family affair! We were absolutely over the moon to be invited to celebrate this special event, and Disney certainly rolled out the blue carpet for us!

From the moment we arrived, we were swept into a world of Stitch-tastic fun!

We started with some adorable photo ops, then dove into a wonderland of Stitch toys, housewares, apparel, and more – it felt like we were exploring Stitch’s own little corner of Hawaii!

Our taste buds were on a tropical vacation too, with a delicious spread of Hawaiian-themed food and amazing drinks like the refreshing Aloha Strawberry Lemonade and the wonderfully named Tropical Trouble Punch!

After fueling up and snapping countless photos, it was time for the main event – the movie! Disney’s generosity continued, showering us with the cutest Stitch popcorn bucket and drink holder, and even a super soft and cuddly Stitch blanket to get cozy with. So generous!

Then it was time for the movie! And let me tell you, it wasn’t just good – it was better than we could have imagined! The casting was absolutely perfect. Maia Kealoha as Lilo was a revelation; she embodied everything we could possibly imagine for a live-action Lilo, with such an endearing mix of cuteness and charm. And Sydney Agudong as Nani was equally brilliant. Their sisterly bond felt so real and heartwarming, perfectly capturing the spirit of the original animated duo.

The storyline itself stayed wonderfully true to the beloved classic, with just enough delightful surprises and twists to keep us on our toes. And of course, the star of the show, our mischievous blue alien, Stitch (voiced by the incredible Chris Sanders), was nothing short of perfection. Director Dean Fleischer Camp truly gets these characters. Stitch integrated seamlessly into the real world, his every facial expression, body movement, and mischievous twitch nailed to perfection. It’s truly remarkable how they made a six-limbed furry alien feel so completely natural and at home in a live-action setting!

Zach Galifianakis Cast in Upcoming Lilo & Stitch Live-Action Remake

The supporting cast was equally stellar. Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba Jookiba and Billy Magnussen as Agent Pleakley were fantastic, bringing their animated counterparts to life with hilarious precision. And it was such a special treat to see beloved alumni from the animated film like Tia Carrere as the social worker Kume, and particularly Jason Scott Lee now playing Tutu, Lilo and Nani’s neighbor, in a more significant role. It truly showed Disney’s respect for the original.

What really sets this “Lilo & Stitch” remake apart is its seamless integration of the fantastical into the modern world. The aliens and their antics fit perfectly without ever overshadowing the human characters or the live-action environment. There wasn’t a single element that felt out of place or awkward, unlike some other live-action adaptations we’ve seen.

This movie is tightly plotted, beautifully paced, and absolutely brimming with charm and heart. It’s a genuine joy from start to finish, with characters you instantly fall in love with and root for. We honestly believe this is Disney’s best live-action remake to date, a truly magical experience that brought tears to our eyes and smiles to our faces. “Lilo & Stitch” is a must-see for fans old and new – it’s a testament to the power of ‘ohana’!

Yes, you read that right. The head of the House of Mouse just publicly cheered on the biggest expansion in the Wizarding World’s backyard.

Jeff Vahle, who now celebrates his 35th year with Disney Experiences, oversees a massive team of approximately 80,000 Cast Members—the largest single-site workforce in the U.S. He’s also responsible for the operation of Disney’s four Florida theme parks, two water parks, 25+ resort hotels, and the ever-popular Disney Springs. Under his leadership, Disney has created more than 250,000 jobs across the Sunshine State.

Today’s message was not only a nod to friendly competition, but also a recognition of the tremendous impact that Epic Universe is expected to have on the Central Florida tourism industry. Located just about 15 miles from the Magic Kingdom, Epic Universe marks Universal’s most ambitious project to date and their first new theme park since Islands of Adventure debuted in 1999.

The new park includes five meticulously themed “worlds”:

Celestial Park – the dreamy gateway hub filled with lush gardens, dining, and the Starfall Racers coaster
Dark Universe – a chilling land inspired by classic Universal Monsters
Super Nintendo World – where Mario, Peach, and Bowser reign supreme
