If you love Sake as much as we do then we’ll let you in on a little secret. Nestled in the back of the Mitsukoshi Department Store at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot, you’ll find a Sake Tasting Bar where you can try out some delicious varieties before purchasing a bottle or two to take home with you.
It’s easy to walk right by this kiosk. Though it looks quite unsuspecting it’s actually a great place to grab a drink. On offer are a myriad of different sake samples that you can purchase by bottle or by the glass. You’ll usually find about a dozen different varieties and a knowledgeable cast member is typically on hand to help you with your selections. A glass of sake will usually set you back around $7.
As you can see from the image above, the store stocks a wide variety of different options from sparkling, dry, flavored and sparkling sake. With the option to sample different varieties before purchasing a bottle you can make sure that sake you walk away with is perfectly suited to your tastes!
On a recent visit to Epcot, our very own Chip noticed that Japanese beer is also available for purchase at the stand.
One of the things we love most about the Sake Bar is that unlike other Epcot locations serving alcohol, because of its slightly hidden location, lines here remain relatively short meaning you get served quickly and the staff is incredibly attentive.
