Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind

There are so many exciting things happening with the opening of Pixar Pier. And the fun just keeps coming. In 2019, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be a new attraction debuting at Pixar Pier. With the 4 new neighborhoods that are opening along Pixar Pier, Incredibles Park, Toy Story Boardwalk, Pixar Promenade and Inside Out Headquarters, the lush and colorful Inside Out Headquarters will be the future home of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. Inside Out Headquarters will be located at the western end of the pier. The family-friendly attraction is themed after the Pixar film Inside Out and is filled with emotion! Stay tuned for more details!

Take a closer look at the 4 new neighborhoods debuting at the Pixar Pier.

Incredibles Park: An inviting plaza that features mid-century modern design aesthetics and is inspired by “The Incredibles.” Entering through an archway, guests will see the iconic Incredibles logo overhead. This is also where you will find the new Incredicoaster, which will take you on a thrilling race alongside the Parr family. A combination of character figures, lighting, music and special effects will bring all the action to life! And Jack-Jack is there too – Upon exiting Incredicoaster, the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums stand will be there, tempting you with freshly-baked treats.

Toy Story Boardwalk: Next to Incredibles Park you will find Toy Story Boardwalk – themed to “Toy Story.” Here you will shrink down to the size of a toy on the fan-favorite Toy Story Midway Mania! You can take a rootin’ tootin’ spin with Jessie the yodeling cowgirl on Jessie’s Critter Carousel(opening in 2019). Appetites big and small will find a fun meal at Poultry Palace, inspired by Pixar’s short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry.” And don’t miss the fun-sized Zurg – ready for a photo-op! And finally, make sure you stop by Señor Buzz Churros, where Buzz has switched into Spanish mode to offer this classic treat. ¡Delicioso!

Pixar Promenade: Celebrate the stories and characters from all of Pixar’s films at this charming seaside promenade inspired by classic turn-of-the-century California boardwalks. You won’t want to miss the focal point of Pixar Promenade – the Pixar Pal-A-Round. This guest favorite has undergone some reimagining, but you’ll still find the face of our favorite Mouse on the Paradise Bay side of the wheel. But now, each of the 24 gondolas will feature different pairs of Pixar Pals! There is also a chance for guests to test their skills and win a prize at the four colorful game booths at Games of the Boardwalk. Games include Heimlich’s Candy Corn Toss, Wall-E Space Race, La Luna Star Catcher and Bullseye Stallion Stampede.

The promenade will also feature a classic band-shell stage, ideal for musical entertainment acts and encounters with your favorite Pixar characters. Delightful confections, including saltwater taffy and rainbow cotton candy, are available at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff and for something savory head over to Angry Dogs, where the dogs heat up as Anger from “Inside Out” burns with rage!

Inside Out Headquarters: Last, but certainly not least, Inside Out Headquarters will be located on the western end of the pier. This lush and colorful area is inspired by the Pixar film, “Inside Out. ”This playground for the emotions will feature a whimsical family-friendly attraction, scheduled to open at a later date.

ABC Announces New Lost-themed Survival Reality Show, ‘Castaways’

Any “Lost” fans out there? If so, I have some exciting news to share! “Lost” is coming back – sort of. ABC has just announced a “Lost”-themed reality show called “Castaways” will be hitting the airwaves on August 7 at 10 pm EST.

“Castaways” is a revolutionary series testing the human need for companionship under extreme circumstances as each individual learns there are other castaways out there but are unaware of how many, their locations or when they will be rescued. This visually stunning, new reality series follows 12 diverse individuals as they’re dropped alone throughout various islets in Indonesia and challenged to survive among washed-up luggage, scattered resources and abandoned structures.

The only way to leave the remote islands is to persevere long enough to be rescued or to quit. As dramatic situations unfold on an expanse of islands in the South Pacific, the series flashes back to the real lives of each participant in documentary fashion, demonstrating haunting parallels to the lives they left behind.

The Incredicoaster Has Been Added To MaxPass

The highly anticipated, new Incredicoaster has officially been added to MaxPass! With MaxPass, Disneyland guests can make and redeem FastPasses, right from their phone. Guests log in to MaxPass when they enter the parks and choose from a list of attractions and times. Pixar Pier’s main attraction can now be seen on that list.

The Incredicoaster Has Been Added To MaxPass

Currently, it’s status is closed for refurbishment but we anticipate that time selections will be available beginning tomorrow as Pixar Pier officially opens to guests. FastPass times may very well book up quickly as everyone will want to experience the newly reimagined attraction.

Guests with MaxPass can also enjoy downloads of all of their PhotoPass photos for the day. This includes photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers as well as attraction photos!

The Incredicoaster Has Been Added To MaxPass

We can’t wait for the brand new Pixar Pier and Incredicoaster to open tomorrow. All of the new foods and merchandise available are already amazing. Check out the Lamplight Lounge. The menu is incredible and the food looks absolutely delicious!

Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World opens one week from today! However, you can now visit the land online. The maps for the new land are now live on My Disney Experience and DisneyWorld.com.

When Toy Story Land opens next week, guests will shrink to the size of Andy’s toys to get a “toy’s-eye-view” of the fun and magic Woody, Jessie, and Buzz have in Andy’s backyard. Guests are invited to take a ride on the brand new Slinky Dog Dash coaster which Andy put together himself from his Mega Coaster Play Kit. After taking a spin on Slinky Dog Dash, head over to the land’s other new ride, Alien Swirling Saucers. There’s also so much fun to be had just walking through the new carnival game box entrance to experience the beloved Toy Story Mania. Feeling hungry? Then make sure to grab a quick bite at Woody’s Lunch Box. And, of course, your favorite Toy Story characters will be there as well!

I have some super-exciting news to share this morning! Or, should I say, “spooktacular” news? Disney has just announced a few new twists and treats that will make this year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party even more magical!

  • Mad Tea Party: Take a ride on this iconic Magic Kingdom attraction as new lighting and effects give a new spin on the night. The color of your costume will also dictate how you will transform under the new dancing lights!
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Over on another popular Magic Kingdom attraction, you will be invavaed by new interacting pirates while searching for “Gunpowder Pete.”
  • Space Mountain: Be prepared to hurdle through deep space with a new soundtrack and special effects just for the event!
  • Storybook Circus: Kids of all ages will be delighted when Storybook Circus is taken over by Doc McStuffins and friends for  Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, a dance party featuring some of your favorite Disney Junior Characters!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

And, of course, all of your favorite Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party experiences will be back as well including dancing ghosts, the Headless Horseman, plus Mickey, Peter Pan and many of your favorite characters in the themed parade. Guests attending the event will also be treated to fireworks with the eerie-castle as the backdrop. The fan favorite, Sanderson Sisters are also back in action when the night comes alive with the return of the spellbinding “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” castle show!

Also, what’s Halloween without the candy? Don’t worry, there will be plenty to go around at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Since it’s Disney, there’s plenty of allergy-friendly candy options available as well!
