A recent tweet by Brie Larson, academy award winning actress and star of Matvel’s first female-led superhero movie, confirms that she has wrapped up filming “Captain Marvel”.

In true Marvel fashion, we know very little about “Captain Marvel”. The only subtle hint we have is a very brief cameo post-credits of “Avengers: Infinity War”.

“Captain Marvel” is set to release March 8, 2019.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) directed the film.

Were you wondering where Captain Marvel was in the recent “Avengers” Infinity War”? I’m sure diehard marvel fans were. She never made an appearance, but the post credits scenes hinted she may be making an appearance next year in the new Avengers film. Captain Marvel’s standalone film is slated to release in March 2019, two months prior to the (tentative) release of the unnamed forth Avengers movie.

Spitting Stitch at World of Disney

Experiment 626 returned to the World of Disney store in Disney Springs back in May! Guests everywhere were disappointed when Stitch was removed a few months ago. Not only is he cute and fluffy, he also ‘spit’ on guests passing by, making him an attraction all on his own.

When Stitch was first returned to the store, he wasn’t spitting water on Guests, and everyone hoped it was just due to construction. The World of Disney was experiencing some magical enhancements to the store’s interior. At right time the store was scaled down tremendously to allow for the construction work to take place. To make up for the loss of store space, Every After Jewelry Co and The Corner Store was carrying the merchandise from World of Disney temporarily.

Well I am happy to report Stitch is back up to his mischievous ways and once again spitting on Guests as they walk by. So watch your heads as you walk under Stitch!

Disney World Cast Member Dies in Tragic Accident

We are learning of a tragic accident at the Walt Disney World Resort this morning near Pop Century Resort. According to reports, a Cast Member has passed away.

The @OrangeCoSheriff says it got a 911 call around 9:18 AM to respond to a guard gate next to the Pop Century Resort at Disney. They "found a male in his late 30’s unconscious. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Reedy Creek FD."

Authorities are still working to find out what happened. The Walt Disney World Resort issued a statement, “All of use at Walt Disney World Resort are deeply saddened…by the loss of one of our Cast Members… This is a tragic accident.”

“Pirates Summer Battle ‘Get Wet!'” is a 25 minute show feature Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Barbossa and about 80 other performers! Inspired by the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, a crew of pirates led by Captain Barbossa takes over Porto Paradiso in Mediterranean Harbor. In an attempt to recruit members for his crew, Captain Barbossa puts the Guests through pirate training with lots of splashing water. Just as the Guests and the pirates form a bond, Captain Jack Sparrow, the longtime rival of Captain Barbossa, makes an appearance. Guests will be immersed in a world of pirates through this thrilling performance enhanced with water and fire. The show happens 3 times each day at Mediterranean Harbor.

And don’t miss the special merchandise! T-shirts and bandanas with “Pirates Summer Battle “Get Wet!” motifs and Captain Jack Sparrow designs will be available, and T-shirts and towels featuring designs of the Disney Friends as pirates will also be available. There are 60 different types of products with designs inspired by the pirates theme being offered during the special event.

And even pirates need to fuel up for battle! At Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina, Guests can enjoy hearty dishes to satisfy the appetite of the rowdiest pirate as the restaurant is transformed with the special program “Pirates Cantina Fiesta.” On offer will be a special set menu that features a skull-shaped serving of rice with chicken, and tacos made with black tortilla. Cafe Portofino, decorated with flags and casks with designs of pirates and skulls, will offer a special set menu.

And the pirate theming will be carried out all around Mediterranean Harbor. Decorations will include flags with the skull-and-crossbones motif and parasols in black and red. Also in the area will be photo locations where Guests can take pictures that make them look like they are on a pirate ship or locked up in a prison.

Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators

Epcot’s Candlelight Processional, one of the most popular Epcot traditions, returns in 2018 with celebrity favorites to recite the stirring story of Christmas accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and massed choir. This dazzling presentation returns November 22 through December 30, 2018, and we have a couple of Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators to share.

Returning favorites include actress/host Whoopi Goldberg; entertainer Pat Sajak; actors Neil Patrick Harris, Chita Rivera, Gary Sinise, Blair Underwood and Edward James Olmos; and Jodi Benson, who voices Ariel in Disney’s animated classic “The Little Mermaid.”

The processional is performed three times per night (5:00, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m.) during the holiday season at the America Gardens Theatre.

Check Out The Classic Napoleon Found At Trolley Car Cafe

The Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. From cupcakes and cake pops, to brownies, danishes and tarts, you can find tons of treats. Starbucks coffee is also on the menu. On a recent visit, we decided to check out the Napoleons.

Check Out The Classic Napoleon Found At Trolley Car Cafe

This classic Napoleon is made with flaky layers of puff pastry, incredible vanilla pastry cream and topped with a decadent royal icing. It is also considered a snack credit for guests on a Disney dining plan. For those paying out of pocket, it costs $4.19 plus tax.

The Trolley Car Cafe is located on Hollywood Boulevard across from Hollywood and Vine. Be sure to stop by on your next visit to Hollywood Studios to grab one of their amazingly sweet treats. Then head down to Toy Story Land to hang out with Buzz Lightyear and Woody. Take a ride on Slinky Dog Dash or spin around on Alien Swirling Saucers. It’s Time to Think Christmas (In July) at Walt Disney World!

While it might be hot and steamy out right now, it’s time to start thinking Christmas at Walt Disney World! Hey, it’s called Christmas in July for a reason, isn’t it?! And, what better way to take away that feeling of the hot and sticky humidity than planning a holiday-time visit to Walt Disney World? With several fan-favorite events returning and even an exciting new holiday-themed experience coming to Animal Kingdom, the time to book is now!

As you probably know by now, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns this year bringing merry time fun and treats to the Magic Kingdom. This special ticketed event is held on select nights beginning on November 8 and lasting through December 21.

Also, back for another year is Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. This event celebrates various holidays from around the world right in the 11 country pavilions at the World Showcase. This year will also bring expanded holiday kitchens so you can even have more of a taste of what it’s like to celebrate the holidays. The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays also features Chip and Dale’s Christmas Spree Scavenger Hunt that invites guests who purchase a map and stickers from select merchandise locations and travel around World Showcase to look for the adorable duo with their ornaments.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! and Sunset Seasons will be back at Hollywood Studios this holiday season. These magical holiday shows star your favorite Disney characters and this year will also feature some new additions! Santa is also back this year at Hollywood Studios to take pictures with all of his fans from November 10 to December 24. Once the big guy flies away for a long night of work, Santa Goofy will be greeting guests beginning on Christmas Day. If dining with your favorite characters dressed in their Christmas-best sounds like something not-to-be-missed, now is the time to make your reservations for Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine!

New for 2018, is the addition of Diwali, the holiday Festival of Lights in India, to the new live show UP! A Great Bird Adventure. The show will begin on November 8 at Animal Kingdom.

If you have ever been to Walt Disney World during the holidays, then you know all the resorts are decorated in over-the-top holiday decorations. This year will be no different! Hey Walt Disney World Passholders – this offer if for you! A new Passholder Summer Add-on is now available for Silver, Weekday Select and Theme Park Select Passholders.

Because there is so much excitement happening at The Walt Disney World Resort this summer Passholders now have the opportunity to participate as well! From July 9th through August 9th Passholders can purchase the Summer Add-on for $89 plus tax at any ticket window or Guest Services.

The Summer Add-on provides access to Magic Kingdom park, Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park only. The Passholder must be present with annual pass card and a photo ID. The price will not be prorated based on the date of purchase. Only one Add-on per Passholder and it must be used by the Passholder.

Access includes Saturdays and Sundays for Florida Resident Disney Weekday Select Passholders.

This Add0on is nonrefundable, nontransferable and excludes events and activities with a separate or additional fee. The Summer Add-on does not guarantee admission to any theme park – especially during periods of high attendance.

World of Disney at Disney Springs has reopened to guests at the Walt Disney World Resort. This location and the World of Disney in Disneyland announced refurbishment plans in February. The Disney Springs store closed in phases so that guests could continue to shop while the work was being done.
