Check Out These Delicious Blueberry Frozen Drinks At Epcot

The Canadian Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase is the first stop if you head to the right when entering from Future World. Not only can you find O’ Canada!, a 14-minute Circle-Vision 360° film showcasing our neighbor to the north and Le Cellier Steakhouse, you can also visit the amazing Popcorn Cart. Sure, it has the standard Disney popcorn, refillable popcorn buckets and even a great Maple Popcorn, but you can even find some nice refreshing beverages like the Blueberry Frosty!

The Blueberry Frosty is made with White Cranberry Juice and a Blueberry Infusion. Adults can opt for the Blueberry Banjo Frosty which adds Van Gogh Açaí-Blueberry Vodka to the mix. The non alcoholic version is priced at $7 with the adult frosty at $11. Either way, one of these blueberry creations is absolutely perfect on a nice sunny day walking around the World Showcase.

Disney Villains are hitting the Runway! Our favorite Disney badies will be taking center stage at New York Fashion Week on September 7, 2018, when luxury fashion brand THE BLONDS present ‘Disney Villains,’a runway show featuring their Spring ’19 collection, which was inspired by some of Disney’s
most wicked characters.

“Disney Villains have long lived in the dark shadows of the beloved heroes and heroines of their stories, and yet these characters are just as celebrated,” said Ken Potrock, President, Consumer Products and Commercialization. “Through our collaboration with THE BLONDS, some of Disney’s most notorious villains will be reimagined in totally unexpected ways during one of fashion’s most important weeks.”

Known for creating glamorously over the top pieces with a rebellious twist, THE BLONDS, co-founded by designer Phillipe Blond and creative director David Blond, will feature looks inspired by villains such as Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Dr. Facillier, Ursula and her dark eel minions Flotsam and Jetsam during the show.

“The Disney Villains style is iconic and has inspired us since childhood and throughout our
career. The opportunity to collaborate with Disney and see these designs come to life on THE
BLONDS runway is an absolute dream come true,” said David and Phillipe Blond, Designers, THE
BLONDS.

As part of the creative process, Phillipe and David toured the Disney Archive Research Library
where they learned about each Villain’s mythology and viewed the inspiration behind the iconic
animation of these characters, including original artwork and sculpts.

“What drew us to working with Disney Villains are the complex attributes of the characters
themselves,” continued David Blond. “Often misunderstood, Disney Villains are flawed,
imposing and mysterious, and we loved the idea of taking these characteristics and translating
them in a glamorous way, making them the heroes of our story.”

Guests Park Free At LEGOLAND Florida Resort For The Month Of August

Summer is coming to a close and school will be back in session before you know it. To make those final days memorable, LEGOLAND Florida Resort will be offering free standard parking between August 1st and August 31st, 2018. Those standard parking fees are usually $17 per day for cars, $18 per day for campers/RVs and $10 per day for motorcycles.

Before shifting into back to school mode, guests can visit LEGOLAND Florida Resort to experience The Great LEGO® Race, the only virtual reality roller coaster built for kids. Plus, weekends this summer guests can catch an all-new variety show, Brick Builders and create a LEGO model for MINILAND USA at Build-A-Minilander inside Heartlake Hall.

Guests receiving the free parking are encouraged to bring new, unopened school supplies to donate to the Homeless Education Advocates Restoring the Hope program for Polk County Public Schools. Most needed items include pens, pencils, erasers, scissors and composition notebooks. Every donation will help make a difference in the lives of more than 4,000 students identified in a homeless situation in Polk County.

Pre-purchased standard parking will be upgraded to shaded, premium parking free of charge. Premium Parking can be purchased for $27. Awesome Annual Pass holders can upgrade to premium parking for $10. Only credit or debit card purchases will be accepted.

If you can’t get enough of the gorgeous PIXAR Film Coco, you’ll love the newest Minnie Ears to appear at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. The new Coco Minnie Mouse Ears are as brilliant and colorful as the animation in the film.

These vibrant ears feature bold colors that contrast gorgeously on the black background. Colorful marigold inspired flowers line the band of the ears, and a black Papel picado bow tops off the entire ensemble. Papel picaso is actually a Mexican Folk Art, that takes colorful paper, and turns it into artwork with beautiful and elaborate designs cut into it. I love that Disney opted to add this marvelous artwork style to the Coco Ears. The marigolds also tie wonderfully into the theme of the movie, You may remember they were a big part of the film. That’s because they are traditionally used to guide spirits to their respective altars during Dia de los Muertos.

These brilliantly colorful Coco Minnie Mouse Ears retail for $24.99, and are available at select locations at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. No word on if they are coming to Walt Disney World, but we hope they will arrive in time for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party season!

Disneyland’s Space Mountain has just debuted its new queue and it is truly out of this world! If you aren’t taking advantage of Disneyland’s MaxPass system, then you are even going to love this “cool” space even more as it is now air conditioned!

Space Mountain’s new queue is actually the former home of the Tomorrowland Starcade. In addition to the queue being fully indoor and air conditioned, there is also themed music piped in along with new visuals for guests to enjoy while they wait to journey to outer space.

Disney is Wanting To Be Dropped from Harvey Weinstein Case

The Walt Disney Company is demanding to be dropped from the putative class action Harvey Weinstein lawsuit. Disney, which once owned Harvey Weinstein’s film studio Miramax Film, wants to be “dismissed from a putative class action brought by alleged victims” of Harvey Weinstein. Disney is arguing that they should not be liable in the sexual misconduct case against Weinstein, but the victims suing say Disney should be held responsible for negligent supervision. The women claim Disney “knew or should have known not only that Weinstein was unfit or incompetent to work directly with women and posed a particular risk of sexually harassing and assaulting them, but also that this unfitness created a particular risk.”

Disney argues that the “allegations aren’t supported with facts, nor have the plaintiffs pierced the corporate veil.”

Disney representatives said, “Notably absent are alleged facts that Disney employed Weinstein, that Disney knew or should have known about Weinstein’s alleged misconduct, or that Weinstein’s alleged misconduct involved Disney’s premises or property. Allegations about Disney’s former subsidiary, Miramax, are irrelevant to the claims against Disney because Miramax and Disney are separate corporate entities.”

American Heritage Gallery at Epcot Honors American Indian Art

Over at Epcot, a brand new art exhibit has debuted at the American Heritage Gallery, “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art.” The exhibit displays 89 pieces on display to represent 40 different American Indian tribes from 7 geographic regions across the United States.

Some of the highlights from the American Indian Art collection include an “Ancient Resonance” dress by designer Loren Aragon from Acoma Pueblo, a Chilkat blanket from Alaska dating to the 1890s complements “Raven and the Box of Daylight,” a 2017 glass sculpture by Preston Singletary (Tlingit), and a Pokagon Potawatomi black ash hamper basket made in the early 1900s.

The new American Indian Art exhibit is located in the American Pavilion inside the World Showcase.

Explore the artistry of American Indian communities—and learn about traditional Native influences.

“Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” showcases authentic, historical Native artifacts alongside contemporary works of American Indian art—demonstrating examples of cultural traditions which have been handed down through generations.

Native communities from 7 geographic regions across the United States are included in the gallery. Their art represents the richness, depth and diversity of Native cultures past and present. Among the featured artists with works on display are fashion designer Loren Aragon (Acoma Pueblo), noted doll-maker Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan) and Juanita Growing Thunder (Assiniboine Sioux) from the Growing Thunder family of Montana.

As you browse the gallery, enjoy an enriching, immersive storytelling experience with interactive displays. Installations throughout the exhibition can help you further explore the art, artifacts and history—with narration and insights provided by some of the artists themselves

Guests planning to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year will get a great treat! Orange Bird inspired event exclusive game cards will be available. The storyline of “Orange Bird’s Juice-o-Lanterns” spell card is quite intriguing. During one of his walks through the Adventureland, Merlin met the adorable Orange Bird. Merlin was so taken with the little fellow, that he created a brand new Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom spell in his honor.

Orange Bird will be celebrating Halloween on his very own card by creating “Juice-o-Lanterns”, aka funny faces on the oranges that grow near the Sunshine Tree.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is a in-park interactive quest that is fun for the whole family. Guests can join Merlin’s mission to stop Disney Villains from taking over. Searching throughout the park, you can visit magic portals to use spell cards that will actually stop the villains. You can pick up everything needed to play at the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. The “Orange Bird’s Juice-o-Lanterns” spell card will be handed out separately along with the regular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom play card packs. Guests must be registered to play using their party ticket and wristband to enjoy these cards.
