It’s a fresh new year, and now there are from fresh new ears! New Pink 2019 Minnie Mouse Ears have ben spotted at Disneyland, and they are sensational! We haven’t found them at Walt Disney World yet, but we have are fingers crossed.
The new ears for 2019 are a classic black sequined style, with a large puffy bow. The large bow is a poppy pink with icons showcasing different beloved classic Disney attractions. The print is similar to the blue 2019 print from last year, but without the circles, giving the pattern a more organic feel. One of my favorite new features that the Disney Parks started adding to Minnie Ears last year, was the embroidered bands. This new set of ears has that fabulous new feature, with a bright pink “2019” stitched into the side. This small element gives an extra bit of detail that really makes them feel like more of a collector piece. After all, Minnie Ears have become a must have accessory lately, and style loving Disney fans love to collect them!

Disneyland Paris certainly know how to welcome the New Year, with an exciting teaser into what’s in store this year at Disneyland Paris! Often we find ourselves at the parks for the rides, shows, characters, and food, but if you dig a little deeper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you will find a whole new way to explore the park. If you’re wanting a break, become a Wilderness Explorer. If you have a dinosaur loving kiddo, make sure to take time to check out the newest fossil.
Perfect for preschoolers and kids, becoming a Wilderness Explorer will give them new opportunities to explore Animal Kingdom like never before. Channel your inner Russell and his trusty sidekick Dug from Disney Pixar’s Up!, and set out into the park mastering challenges all while learning and having fun. Take your pick of more than 30 different self-guided challenges and collect badges along the way.
Make sure to check out the newest badge to add to your collection. The Fossil badge is the perfect addition. Do a little dino digging, maybe uncover a tyrannosaurus rex, or my favorite dinosaur, a triceratops. Explore the fossils and become an expert along the way. Don’t forget to give your best roar too while you work to earn your badge.
Once you’ve completed your Fossil Badge, make sure to check out the other badges, like the Yeti Badge where you can learn about the great mysteries and facts of these giants. Or, go exploring for animals around the park and earn your Animal Find Badge. Don’t miss the chance to be like Doc McStuffins and earn your Veterinary Badge caring for animals as well.
To begin exploring Animal Kingdom in a whole new way, make sure to pick up the official Wilderness Explorers field guide. The guides can be found at the Wilderness Explorer locations in Dinoland U.S.A., Africa, and Asia. If you’re walking near Oasis and Discovery Island, you’ll find them on the bridge there too. Make sure to keep your explorer guide handy if you don’t finish all the badges in one day. Bring it back on your next visit to complete all the challenges and check for new ones.

I am very excited for all the new experiences headed to the parks in 2019! Disney’s Hollywood Studio is turning 30! For part of their 30th Anniversary, they are bringing a brand new cinematic nighttime show!
The new nighttime show, “Wonderful World of Animation,” will begin May 1, 2019. The show will take you on a wonderful journey down memory lane. It will feature more than 90 years of Disney animation with state-of-the-art projection technology used to showcase this new experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Because this new nighttime experience will feature many Disney favorites and classics, it is sure to bring joy to every audience member! There will be a lot to see and experience, however, Mickey Mouse will be the star! Remember, our beloved Walt Disney use to say, “I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.”

Tamu Tamu Refreshments, located in Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, is bringing back breakfast with some new menu items! Perfect for those rope-drop mornings when you need something quick to munch on.
Once you’ve checked out Pandora: World of Avatar and you’re ready to explore Africa, don’t overlook Tamu Tamu Refreshments. The tiny counter service window is located directly across from Tusker House Restaurant.
They are serving up two delicious types of quiche for only $6.29. Spinach and Feta Quiche, or Ham and Cheese Quiche, are served in a light and flaky pastry dough and baked to a caramelized perfection. Top-off your morning meal with a chocolate or cheese danish, or a blueberry muffin (or both!).
When it’s time for your second (or third) cup of coffee, try the specialty African Coffee. Joffrey’s African Bean Blend is mixed with a shot of Amarula Liqueur (a cream liqueur made from the fruit of the South African Marula tree).
When your ready for more, come back and try one of the amazing dessert offerings, like the Malva Cake Sundae. A South African specialty dessert, Malva cake is a caramelized sponge cake with apricot preserves. Disney takes it to a new level by serving it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel topping. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the hit Disney film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Brought to the screen by legendary filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, the film was a revolutionary mix of classic 2-D animation and live action. Since then fans have been clamoring for more of the plucky bunny. A sequel script has been in development all the way back to 1988 when the film was released. There was even a draft in 2013, written by Gary K. Wolf, the author of the novel the original film was adapted from.
Wolf’s script was a prequel “buddy comedy” featuring a team-up of Roger and Mickey Mouse but was ultimately abandoned. With Hollywood’s current spate of rebooting and adding sequels to old hits, you’d think it would be a perfect time for Roger to make a comeback. According to Zemeckis though, a new Roger Rabbit movie isn’t likely to happen anytime soon.
In a recent interview with Yahoo!, the director was asked what the current state of the script is and if Disney had any plans to finally make the film. Although he seems to love the current story, he doesn’t seem optimistic about its future:
“I don’t think so. I don’t know where it fits in in their universe. There’s no princess in it, so I don’t know where that would be. There’s a wonderful script sitting at Disney that is really good, but I don’t think it’s on their radar.”
As sad as that is to hear, it’s not very surprising. In recent years, Disney has had great success with not only their princess movies but also recreating their classic animated films into live-action adaptations. With the upcoming releases of films like Frozen 2, Dumbo and the Maleficent sequel, it doesn’t seem like they plan to change course anytime soon. There could always be hope in this digital age though. The new Disney+ streaming service is set to launch later this year. With all the new content needed, Roger Rabbit 2 could still find a home on the small screen.

Returning in 2019 to Typhoon Lagoon is H2O Glow Nights. The waterpark is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and bringing back everyone’s favorite after-hours beach party!
Typhoon Lagoon is once again hosting H2O Glow Nights on select summer evenings. Thursday through Saturday nights get ready to don glow necklaces and bracelets while sipping on glowing beverages. This event is scheduled to run May 30th to August 17th giving visitors to Walt Disney World many opportunities to pencil this event into their schedule. Event hours have not been released. However, Last year H2O Glow Nights ran from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and similar event hours are expected in 2019.
Once again, the beloved friends from Pixar’s “Toy Story” will be your hosts making this event fun for the whole family. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang from Andy’s room will be ready to join you in those Instagram snaps when they aren’t bustin’ a move to the beat.
While an additional ticket must be purchased to attend after-hours events throughout Walt Disney World Property, these events are proving to be a great way to enjoy attractions with a short wait and lots of extra fun. Whether you are looking for the thrill of Humunga Kowabunga or a relaxing float down Castaway Creek chances are good you will enjoy the open attractions with a minimal wait. Best of all, this event occurs after the harsh Florida summer sun has retreated for the day.

Happy New Year Chip and Co and Disney Addicts fans! There has been a new 2019 Epcot Map spotted! 2018 was an incredible year, but 2019 will be even better! Tell all your friends! With new years brings new beginnings. So, here we are kicking off 2019 with new things for our fans and guests to enjoy!!
One of our fabulous correspondents spotted new 2019 Epcot maps at the parks!! I usually pick up one or two for me when I go to the parks, you know because sometimes I misplace them. Then on top of that each of my kids like to hold them and try to decipher them. My 8-year-old is really good at reading maps now, my 5-year-old, yeah, she has some work to do!
Anyways, the maps located at each park are the best accessory to have! No need to feel like you look silly carrying one around. Instead, you will be the best dressed person in the park. Not to mention, you will have all the best tools to help you navigate the world flawlessly.
As you can see, each map gives you the location to everything you can do in the park! They even break down the sections of the park, so you can easily pin-point where you are on the map. Each map will also provide guests visiting the park the times of special parades, entertainment and firework shows, if applicable. Of course, all times are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
The new Epcot maps also has a panel dedicated to extra magical add-ons for each guest. You can call to add as many as you like! Options include the Memory Maker, Disney VIP Tour Services, or the Disney Vacation Club. I really want to try the new VIP Tours!!
Now to my favorite parts of the map. The shopping and dining of course!! I love, love, love that maps tell me where I can get my shop on. I may be the only one in the family that likes this feature, though. My whole family does like the dining section! Our favorite restaurant at Epcot is Coral Reef. We thought the food was amazing and the atmosphere is outstanding! We even had the opportunity to see the divers in the tank while we were there. We got a dinner and a show! Can’t wait to go back.
