First look at character posters for “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms!” It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year! And, today, I am excited to share the official character posters for “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.”

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.

The hyper-reality experience “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” by ILMxLAB and The VOID arrived at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World and Downtown Disney in Disneyland this past winter with much fanfare. Today, I am excited to announce that another hyper-reality experience from another Disney universe is also on its way – “RalphBreakss VR.” This one-of-a-kind, original adventure is based on the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

When it arrives this Fall, “Ralph Breaks VR” will put guests inside a multi-sensory Disney adventure where you’ll be immersed in the worlds of the internet and online gaming with Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope. To create “Ralph Breaks VR” and future hyper-reality experiences that allow you to explore amazing worlds and engage with favorite characters, The Walt Disney Company and ILMxLAB (Lucasfilm’s award-winning immersive entertainment division) are again collaborating with the team at The VOID.

Of all of the Halloween Time snacks available at the Disneyland Resort, I think I’m most excited about the Pumpkin Spiced Churro (be still my PSL heart!). These deliciously deep-fried sticks made their first appearance last year and were so popular that Disney brought them back.

You can find them at the Crazy Cone Motel at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park for $5.29 each. If you take a closer look at the orange treats you’ll notice that they’re actually also covered in edible sparkles and tiny ghost emoji. The Pumpkin Spiced Churro also comes with Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce to kick it up a notch.

New Mickey-Shaped Sand Bunkers Added To Walt Disney World Golf Courses

After a multi-week closure, Disney’s Oak Trail golf course re-opened back in August showing off work done on all nine greens plus a brand new Mickey shaped bunker to the No. 9 green! The Lake Buena Vista course has also just received a new Mickey-shaped sand bunker on the No. 9 hole, matching the original one that’s been on No. 6 at the Magnolia course for more than 40 years.

Disney Golf is working hard on continuing their plans to create more Mickey-shaped sand bunkers. Next up is the Palm course! Stay tuned for more details on that.

Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

That’s right! Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be back for another year from November 8 to January 6.

Back again is Sunset Season Greetings featuring your favorite Disney characters and stories projected on to the Tower of Terror. Guests are invited to catch continuous showings nightly on Sunset Boulevard

The popular holiday-themed fireworks show, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bam! is also back to wow audiences in 2018. The show features the adventure of your favorite Disney characters helping to get Santa back to the North Pole. Also, check out the Jingle Bells, Jingle Bam! Dessert Party featuring festive snacks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Guests for the dessert party are treated to VIP seating for the fireworks and will be able to meet and greet with a special character. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bam! blasts into the sky starting November 8 and runs until January 6.

Guests visiting Hollywood Studios this holiday season will also be treated to magical holiday decor in the Echo Lake area. Make sure to check out Dinosaur Gerie!

Olaf himself will be making a a cameo in “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration!” It’s not to be missed!

When you need to take a break from the action and recharge your batteries, head over to Hollywood & Vine for a delicious seasonal meal at Minnie’s Holiday Dine. Featuring Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy in their seasonal best, it’s one of the most magical meals this holiday season. Minnie’s Holiday Dine begins November 9 and lasts until January 6.

Santa Claus is back again to meet his fans at Once Upon a Time from November 10 to December 24. Once he flies off on Christmas Eve, Santa Goofy will fill his spot from December 25 to January 6.

NEW for this year – Guests are invited to Play Big in the new Toy Story Land! For Flurry of Fun, the land will also receive a little makeover featuring some special holiday touches!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off on November 8 and is offered on select nights through December 21. A separate ticket is required to attend. Cookies and snow on Main Street U.S.A. are just a few of the highlights of the party!

The Once Upon a Time Christmas Party Parade features gingerbread men, toy soldiers, your favorite Disney Characters and Santa Claus too. If you can’t make it to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the parade will run daily from December 22 to December 31!

Holidays Wishes Fireworks is exclusive to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and is not to be missed! Two Fireworks Dessert Parties are also offered during the party for guests to enjoy some festive holiday foods and fun.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration features Mickey and Minnie on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle partying with their Disney friends and dance to classic and contemporary Christmas tunes.

Cinderella Castle will once again be transformed into a Frozen wonderland during a “Frozen Holiday Wish” by Anna and Elsa nightly. This show is offered nightly from November 9 to December 31.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Guests will be able to enjoy decorations around the park and several attractions will be transformed from day to night for extra magic. These attractions include the Tree of Life, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids, and Expedition Everest.

UP! A Great Bird Adventure will be transformed so guests can experience Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights. The excitement begins on November 8 and lasts until January 1.

Epcot

The International Festival of the Holidays is back again at Epcot beginning on November 18 and running until December 30.

The Candlelight Processional is one of the highlights of holiday time at Walt Disney World and is simply amazing. Join a celebrity guest narrator, 15 piece orchestra, and choir as you hear the story of the first Christmas. The first Candlelight Processional is on Thanksgiving Day, November 22 and is held nightly until December 30 at the American Adventure Pavilion. Guests are invited to enjoy holiday-themed treats around the world at the Holiday Kitchens and take part in Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Adventure Scavenger Hunt.

WOW is all I can say. When I attended the media preview of “A Taste of Food & Wine Weekends” at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, I was astounded by all the incredible offerings. Food & Wine Weekends kicks off September 14th at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and continues through November 12th. These weekend food and drink experiences are not to be missed! Let’s be honest; I am still dreaming of all the fantastic food and drinks put on display by Zeta Asia, Peacock Alley, La Luce, Bull and Bear, La Patisserie, and Myth Bar.

Taste of Zeta Asia – Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm – 10 pm guests can enjoy a culinary journey through Asia with a four-course dinner for only $35, and they are also offering sake, beer, and whiskey flights. I sampled the Kanji Signature Roll, Mount Fuji Signature Roll, and the Short Rib Bibimbap. Each dish was perfection and meticulously crafted.

Saturdays from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm guests can enjoy complimentary interactive mixology experiences with a wide variety of cocktails. I had the pleasure of watching Master Mixologist Justin Newman create The Manifesto with Manifest Rye Whiskey and Manifest Barreled Gin. He put on quite a show. To be honest, I am not a whiskey fan, but he has converted me! The Manifesto was so smooth, and the coffee ice cube was the “icing on the cake.”

Taste of La Luce – Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Friday and Saturday nights from 6 pm – 11 pm guests can take a tour of Italy with a four-course dinner at $55. Plus, they can enjoy a Sommelier wine pairing with dinner for an additional $25 or a La Luce exclusive wine pairing for $35. I savored every single bite of the Lasagna Napolinata and Risotto Duo di Mare. Each dish was “delizioso”!

Taste of Bull and Bear – Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm – 10 pm guests can experience a mouthwatering five-course dinner for $125. For patrons wanting to add a wine experience with their courses, they offer a Captain’s wine pairing for $45 and Sommelier’s wine pairing for $65. During the event, the executive chefs prepared the Roasted Sunchoke Cappuccino and Petite Filet of Beet with Stuffed Lobster Tail. This team has taken the American steakhouse to the next level. The roasted sunchoke cappuccino was delightful. The filet and lobster paired beautifully together with the potato pave and arugula salad.

Myth Bar: Pop Culture – Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Saturdays from 8 pm – 10 pm patrons can indulge in homemade, organic popsicles in a wide assortment of flavors with a multitude of gourmet toppings. This station was a showstopper! Make sure to check out the video to see the pastry chefs in action creating what I call the milk chocolate oreo overload popsicle. That I have to say is the BEST popsicle I have EVER had!

La Patisserie: Master Pastry Class – Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Fridays at 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in Sir Harry’s Lounge dessert devotees can learn the techniques and secrets from the world-class Waldorf Astoria Orlando Pastry Team as they host a complimentary baking demonstration. Last but certainly not least, the dessert table literally took my breath away. Each sweet treat was a culinary masterpiece almost too pretty to eat. Immediately what caught my eye was the gold wrapped “present” their take on the Ferrero Rocher. O.M.G. to quote Mary Poppins “practically perfect in every way.” Gold leaf topped coconut macaroon – YES, please! Then not to be outdone, I sampled the saint honore. Light and airy mousse topped with chocolate covered cream puffs, I mean what is not to love?! Finally, I had just to try the tangerine mousse cake. With one bite, I was in love and the tangerine center was a lovely surprise.

Overall Thoughts

I have not been this excited to eat and drink in a long time. Go, just go… and have an amazing epicurean getaway right in the middle of Walt Disney World! No matter your palate and preferences, they have something for everyone! The Slow-Burnin’ Mac and Cheese Cone is made with fresh-cooked pasta tossed with a spicy red pepper cheese sauce and then topped with crushed chili-cheese puffs (aka Flamin’ Hot Cheetos) all served in a Black Cauldron bread cone.

Priced at $8.99 this tasty Halloween treat should definitely be on your must-try list!

For those looking for something a little less spicy the Cozy Cone Motel serves up “i-cone-ic” treats at each of the 5 giant cones, such as chili “cone” queso, flavored popcorn, pretzel bites, churros, soft-serve “route” beer floats and high-octane limeade for Guests 21 and over.
