Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge reservations are no longer needed

The reservation restrictions for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland is now over, guests are being allowed to just walk into the all-new area.

It is being reported on the Disneyland App that as of 8:20am Guest looking to visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge are now able to join a Boarding Group using the Status and Access portion of the Disneyland App or by visiting the Fast Pass location in Disneyland.

The ride queue for Smugglers Run is being reported at only 100 minutes! When the park first opened it was up to 180 minutes. Not bad!

Violet Sake Satisfies the Urge for a Violet Lemonade

So it hasn’t even been a month but you’re already missing that Violet Lemonade from the Flower and Garden Festival? Don’t worry… Yesake at Disney Springs has you covered. The Violet Sake Slushie found here is a blended violet lemonade with a hint of lime garnished with little candies and a lemon slice. Such a refreshing treat!

If this isn’t exciting enough then you might be happy to know that you can add sake (rice wine) to the drink for only $2 more. It was the perfect drink for a Florida summer afternoon shopping trip.

The non-alcoholic version costs $8 which would make the spiked version $10 before tax. Yesake also has frozen beer and savory foods like the Teriyaki Chicken Bun and the Karage Chicken. Yesake can be easily missed but can be found close to Planet Hollywood.

Frozen Pimm’s Lemonade in Epcot’s UK Pavilion

There is a new drink at the United Kingdom Pavilion in Epcot. “Frozen Pimm’s Lemonade” is a gin-based Pimm’s slush, it was a very dry drink, and not resembling a lemonade that much at all. There was a bit of spice and a few herbal flavors that were strong but we loved it.

You can find it at the Rose & Crown beer stand for $12.50.

Round ‘Em Up Latte At Joffrey’s in Disney Springs

In celebration of Toy Story 4 currently in theaters, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company is serving up an epic, Toy Story themed latte.

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea is a company that calls Tampa home. With multiple locations around the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, it’s no wonder that they are the parks and resort’s specialty coffee provider. The roasters at Joffrey’s also get creative with Disney character latte art and specialty lattes.

Now, at the Joffrey’s location is Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs, you can get the Toy Story 4 inspired Round ‘Em Up Latte. This rootin’ and tootin’ latte is made with cookie butter and dulce de leche. Then, they top the whole thing off with whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and animal crackers! How fun!

Joffrey’s is serving this whimsical latte either hot or iced starting on 6/22. You might want to grab yours soon, because this latte will only be available for a limited time. The Round ‘Em Up Latte will be available for $5.69.

LEGO IDEAS: The Seven Dwarfs House LEGO Project

It’s time for another LEGO IDEAS project find! This one was sent numerous times from fans on our Facebook page, so I had to check it out. The Seven Dwarfs House LEGO Project features the iconic cottage we all know and love from the movie, plus lots of Mini Figures!

The designed this build with an inspiration of a mixture of the house featured in the 1937 Disney Classic, and the physical recreation at Walt Disney World, that you can find at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride. The set features 7 Minifigures: Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, Dopey, Snow White, and the Evil Queen in her witch form.

All of the roof sections are removable for easy access for playtime, including two opening wall sections. Plus, the first floor actually detaches to reveal the dining room, which the dwarfs have taken over for some mining activities.

Play features include:

Do the dishes in the kitchen sink, make sure you whistle while you work!
Ensure those jewels are up to standard at the jewel inspection desk!
You are building by a wishing well!
7 Beds
7 Pick Axes
Grandfather Clock

The designer also said they would love to add lots of woodland animals to the set build as well! I’m sure Snow would love her woodland friends help for the dishes play feature.

Mark Hamill Wishes To Retire From Role As Luke Skywalker After Star Wars: Episode IX. The famed Star Wars Actor spoke with AP Entertainment during a red carpet interview about his hope of retirement from the role he has held for over 4 decades.

AP Entertainment posted this video of an interview with Mark Hamill about his hopes of retiring as Luke Skywalker after the release of Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker this December.

Hamill tells AP Entertainment very candidly, “I sure hope so… Cause I had closure in the last one [Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi]. The fact that I am involved in any capacity is only because of that peculiar aspect of a… Star Wars mythology where if you are a Jedi you get to come back and make a curtain call as a force ghost.”

So, slight spoiler here for Episode IX, LUKE COMES BACK AS A FORCE GHOST, but this was an easy guess given his name still appearing on the cast listing for the upcoming film and the known lore surrounding Star Wars since the first few films. It’s just nice to have confirmation of his ‘mysterious’ appearance in the film despite his characters death in the previous film.

Hamill has been a part of many other projects since his early days with the Star Wars franchise, but he is so well known for his role as Luke Skywalker it is extremely hard for fans to imagine anyone else even remotely filling that role in the mega popular series.

As of late Hamill has been working on projects such as Knightfall (Talus), Child’s Play (Chucky), The Last Kids on Earth, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, American Dad, and several other projects on top of his duties as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise.

This December may very well be the last time we see Mark walk a red carpet for Star Wars, but the adventures don’t stop with the Skywalker family in the Star Wars Universe.

Though Lucasfilm plans on taking a short hiatus from Star Wars films, writers D.B. Weiss & David Benioff (Game of Thrones) have been signed to pen the next trilogy for the Star Wars franchise. The new franchise will follow other characters in the Star Wars universe, only this time a Skywalker will not be directly involved in the story telling.

We can’t wait to see what is to come for the franchise and we pay major respects to Mark Hamill for all he has done for the films and his fans over the 40+ years he has spent portraying one of the most iconic film characters of all time. Toy Story 4 Tops $118 Million at Weekend Box Office

It is no surprise that Pixar’s Toy Story 4 is dominating the weekend box office with a $118 Million dollar debut domestically.

Toy Story 4 opened in almost 5,000 theaters this weekend and while was projected to hit $140 Million Disney/Pixar is not far from that mark, we still have today right?

Fans who have seen the film have loved it while many others ask the question was it really necessary considering how perfectly Toy Story 3 completed the trilogy.

Toy Story 4 is the 4th largest animated movie release behind “Incredibles 2” $182 million, “Finding Dory” $135 million, and Dreamworks “Shrek the Third” at $121 million.

According to Variety Toy Story 4 picked up $120 million from 37 international territories for a global start of $238 million. Not a bad start to summer for Disney & Pixar!
