Star Wars Drinks “Jedi Mind Trick” Their Way into Disney Springs’ Starbucks

Millenial Falcon Starbucks

A short while ago in a Starbucks very very close… we tried new Star Wars-themed drinks! We found our lack of caffeine disturbing, so we headed down to Disney Springs to check out the menu designed for scruffy-looking nerfherders everywhere. The drinks appeal to people of all tastes, whether they’re looking for something sweet, something fruity, or something fresh.

We started with the Millenial Falcon. This is based on the famed Pink Drink, which tastes of strawberry and coconut milk, but this one has a matcha cold foam added on top. The colors are spectacular to look at and the beverage itself is refreshing. It’s a good drink for a hot day or for someone looking for lighter, fresher flavors. If you like the Pink Drink, this is the one you’ll want to try and you may be surprised how well that cold foam blends with your fruity fave!

We also wanted to get the Rey of Knight drink, and as Yoda says “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” So we did! This is lemonade topped with raspberry and passion tea syrup to give it an ombre effect. Another coffee-free beverage that is fruity and cold, kids and adults alike will be able to indulge in this one. It’s a little bit on the tart side, but lemonade-lovers will not regret it!

The other options from the Star Wars menu are all frappuccinos: The Chewy Frappuccino, The Trooper Frappuccino, and the Green Master Frappuccino. No matter what young Jedis choose, whether the light or the dark side of the cup, they can’t make a wrong choice here. So next time you’re at Disney Springs, may the caffeine be with you!

Disney Adds Tom Hiddleston To Casting Wish List for Hades in Live-Action ‘Hercules’

Disney Adds Tom Hiddleston To Casting Wish List for Hades in Live-Action ‘Hercules’. According to a source close to WeGotThisCovered.com, Disney is not only making plans for a live-action Hercules, but has already started compiling a casting wish list and eyeing some actors from Marvel Studios.

Already rumored to be looking at Alexander Skarsgard to play the mighty Hercules, Disney seems to also be interested in several actors to play his nemesis, Hades. The latest rumored casting hope goes to the God of Mischief himself, Loki, aka Tom Hiddleston. It is currently unknown if Disney has approached Hiddleston about the role, but if they have, it is being kept out of the public eye.

Tom Hiddleston is not the only star they are eyeing for the role, and it seems the House of Mouse is very interested in seeing Hiddleston move from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and join the Disney Universe in the live-action remake.

Rumors began swirling a little over a month ago that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Trevor Donovan were on Disney’s wish list to portray the Lord of the Underworld, with Donovan sharing that he is secretly up for the role, but “isn’t supposed to say anything.” It now appears Disney is also adding Hiddleston to the roster of potential badies.

Until the role of Hercules is cast, it is likely Disney will wait to cast any of the supporting roles. There is no word yet who may play characters such as Megara (Meg), Phil, Pain, Panic, The Muses, or Zeus and Hera.

What would your dream cast look like for a live-action Hercules? Do you think Tom Hiddleston would be a good choice for Hades? What other Disney Movies would you like to see made into live-action films? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

I know for me I waited over 45 minutes to get mine on the 29th when they became available to passholders. Word online is that the magnets are now gone…

But good news! Reports are coming in that Disney is now mailing out magnets to guests who drop by Discovery Trading Co in the Animal Kingdom and have their Magic Band scanned, once your address is confirmed with Disney Cast Members to match the address you have on file.

A Chip and Co fan messaged us to confirm Disney is, in fact, mailing out the Simba Magnets.

Unfortunately, when we contacted Guest Services in the front of the park they had no idea.

We are awaiting confirmation from Disney to give a 100% definite answer, so please take this with a grain of salt.

TSA Reversed the Decision on SWGE Coke Bottles

TSA Reversed the Decision on SWGE Coke Bottles

As many of you recall, we reported earlier this week the TSA banned the souvenir on flights due to its similarity to an explosive.  After further review, the TSA reversed the decision on the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge souvenir coke bottles.

The original decision to ban the bottles sent Star Wars fans visiting Galaxy’s Edge both in Disneyland and Walt Disney World into an uproar!

Fans became enamored with these coke bottles before SWGE opened earlier this summer in Disneyland.  The coke bottles proved to be a collectors item for all fans far and wide, many bringing them home to put on shelves or as ornaments.

However, on Friday, the TSA reversed the decision by releasing a statement “We have completed our review and instructed our officers to treat these as an oversized liquid.”  All travelers are advised to put the coke bottles in their checked luggage before travel.

For guests traveling with Lightsabers and/or Droids, the TSA does permit hand-built lightsabers and Astromech droids that are sold at the Black Spire Outpost.

The TSA’s “What Can I Bring” guide even has a sense of humor about it, saying: “Sadly the technology doesn’t currently exist to create a real lightsaber.  However, you can pack a toy lightsaber in your carry-on or checked bag. May the force be with you. ”
