Introducing The New Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich From Disneyland

Introducing The New Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich From Disneyland

We have introduced you to many Halloween Time treats from the Disneyland Resort. Now, we are here to introduce you to the new Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich from Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante!

Introducing The New Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich From Disneyland

This epic ice cream sandwich has been creating a big buzz on Instagram and even bigger lines at Rancho del Zocalo! First off, the sandwich is decently sized and incredibly cute. We would definitely recommend sharing this with a friend. We also recommend getting in line for these right when the restaurante opens, because the lines for this restaurant get pretty long and there is not a mobile order option available.

Introducing The New Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich From Disneyland

The new Halloween Time Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich is as colorful as it is delicious! To prepare this treat, they start with colorful shell-like Mexican sweet bread. Then, a scoop of Dulce de Leche ice cream sits in between 2 slices of the sweet bread. Next, this treat gets a drizzle of Cajeta, or Mexican caramel sauce, and a churro streusel. To finish off this sweet eat, a chocolate sugar skull piece sits on top of a dollop of whipped cream!

We loved this ice cream sandwich! This is definitely a shareable treat. We really enjoyed the churro streusel and thought it added a nice crunch to the dessert!

The Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich retails for $7.99 and is available for Annual Passholder discounts.

A Gatsby Evening Transports You to a Time Filled with Magic

a gatsby evening

I love how The Edison transforms for special events and A Gatsby Evening is one of the best events hosted at Disney Springs.  There were so many unexpected and fun surprises the whole evening.  First, we were greeted by glammed stilt walkers and photo ops right inside the front entry.

A Gatsby Evening Transports You to a Time Filled with Magic

After entering, we were welcomed by the famous champagne skirt.  Her skirt holds many glasses of freshly poured champagne that is constantly being refilled.  Towards the beginning of the night, we also were offered a specialty pineapple cocktail.  There are plenty of seating and table options on both levels of the venue.  There are also many cozy spots to sneak away if you came with someone special.

A Gatsby Evening Transports You to a Time Filled with Magic

Trays of small bites were constantly floating around the room throughout the evening including short rib crostinis, tiny crab cakes, shrimp with gazpacho, and spicy deviled eggs.  Deservingly at its own station was the clothesline bacon.  If you’ve never tried this, you need to!  Thick sliced bacon that is seasoned and seared.

A Gatsby Evening Transports You to a Time Filled with Magic

While the food and drinks were good, the entertainment is what blew me away. The live music was incredible!  The mix of classic songs with sultry pop music set the mood for the evening.  My favorite was probably their rendition of the Britney Spears hit “Oops I Did it Again.” Good times! There were also dancers, a talent act, and an aerialist.

My favorite performer, hands down, was the floating table magician.  He baffled us with his card tricks and somehow turned small felt spheres into limes! What?!  He was very entertaining and it was so nice that he performed for your small group.  Another bonus was a professional photographer on hand upstairs.  He took incredible shots that were amazing and complimentary.  I honestly couldn’t believe it because of the quality of the photos.

Oh, and who could leave without dessert.  They came around with trays of chocoalte cake bites, key lime tarts and their specialty cake pops with bubblegum frosting.  The event runs from 7:30-1:00 and has constant entertainment throughout the night.  This event includes the champagne and specialty cocktail but has an extended drink menu for an additional cost.  There was also one other photographer that charged for photos but other than that the food and entertainment were also included in the $79/person price.  I believe this is one of the events that is definitely worth every penny! If you’re going, be sure to dress the part and enjoy the magic of being transported to a previous time in our culture!

Apple Looking to Buy Sony Pictures Which Means Spider-Man Could Return to MCU

Apple Looking to Buy Sony Pictures Which Means Spider-Man Could Return to MCU

Apple Looking to Buy Sony Pictures Which Means Spider-Man Could Return to MCU. Our Spidey-senses are tingling… It’s never over until the fat lady sings, and it seems the Spider-Man split may go out on a high note for Marvel Studios fans!

With the announcement of Disney+ by The Walt Disney Company, other networks and studios are looking to follow the trend and start their own streaming services, such as Apple’s recently announced AppleTV+. Pre-existing streaming services, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, have already started creating exclusive content to stay competitive as streaming services become more prevalent. Disney had also gained majority in shares for Hulu and will be adding the streaming service as a bundle with Disney+ and ESPN+, as well as using Hulu to offer more adult content or content that they do not wan’t associated with the Disney name directly.

So what does this have to do with Sony Pictures? I’m glad you asked. With the rush to have exclusive content for streaming services, it seems companies such as Apple, Netflix, and Amazon have shown heavy interest in acquiring Sony Pictures for even more content for their competing streaming services. So, like Thanos, it seems some kind of purchase of Sony Pictures is inevitable.

Okay, so what about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man? Here is the BEST part for Marvel fans! Due to the nature of the contracts when Marvel first sold Spider-Man to Sony, if Sony is bought out by another entity the rights to Spider-Man are given back to Marvel. That’s right folks. Disney and Marvel may win in this battle for Spider-Man and not have to pay Sony a dime. So there would be no need for renegotiations, new contracts, or a split in profits from Spider-Man related content between Disney and Sony.

Apple Looking to Buy Sony Pictures Which Means Spider-Man Could Return to MCU

As @timvo said on Twitter, “Disney can get Spider-Man back for free so why pay?” It seems Sony may have lost their chance to negotiate with Disney due to this clause in the contracts and I think both Disney’s CEO Bob Iger and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige are over the moon at this possibility should Sony Pictures be sold. There is plenty of waiting to be done, but if the purchase goes through this would mean Spider-Man will return to the MCU! We love this, 3000!

Are you excited about the potential return of Spider-Man? Who do you think will acquire Sony Pictures? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments and be sure to share and tag your friends and family who love Marvel! They will be so excited to hear this news!

Gingerbread House Goes Up at Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland Resort

Haunted Mansion Gingerbread House

Haunted Mansion Holiday is back at Disneyland Resort and it is spookier than ever! Traditionally the Manor gets a Christmas makeover this time of year, including nods to one of Disney’s favorite frightening tales, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The decor is whimsical and festive, and it always includes its very own gingerbread house, a 19-year tradition. This year’s edition is particularly special because it honors the Haunted Mansion’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which is currently taking place: the gingerbread house is a miniature version of the Mansion!

Gingerbread House Goes Up at Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland Resort

Cute edible versions of some of our favorite haunts (15 of them in all) decorate this massive treat: we recognize some hitch-hiking ghosts immediately, as well as unusually quiet busts from the graveyard scene. The design is meant to be as intricate and faithful to the original as possible. But the theme is not the only thing that makes this gingerbread house unique, the size is also remarkable: it stands nearly 10 feet tall! It was made by a team of 6 pastry chefs and took 13 days to build and decorate. The house is composed of over 30 pounds of gingerbread, 75 pounds of powdered sugar, 120 pounds of frosting and icing, 140 pounds of fondant, and 3 gallons of egg whites. Not your average holiday treat!

This is a Disneyland-only event, which means our friends in California will be the ones enjoying the macabre merriment. If you’re ready to start the haunted holidays right and check it out for yourself, the Manor will be decked out from September 6th, 2019 until January 6th, 2020. And don’t forget to ”Hurry back!”

Automated PhotoPass Cameras Now Installed At Princess Fairytale Hall

Automated PhotoPass Cameras Now Installed At Princess Fairytale Hall

Goodbye PhotoPass Cast Members, Welcome royal camera boxes.

The latest meet & greet location to get automated cameras installed is the Princess Fairytale Hall, home of the Disney Princesses.

For now, the cameras have only been installed in the meet & greet with Cinderella and Elena of Avalor and are not active yet, however we expect cameras to be installed in the meet & greet with Rapunzel and Tiana pretty soon as well.

Just like over at Town Square Theater, these locations also have 2 cameras located at different height points for a better picture.

As of now, the location still have Disney PhotoPass cast members working there and we don’t have an exact date when these cameras are gonna take over.

So make your way to the Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom Park to get your pictures while you still can!

PS: Remember there is a petition going on that you could sign. Here is the link.

Guests evacuated from broken-down Disney monorail Thursday night

Guests evacuated from broken-down Disney monorail Thursday night

Around 100 Disney guests needed to be evacuated last night when their monorail stalled on the tracks near the Transportation and Ticket Center at Walt Disney World.

Orange County Fire Rescue received a call about a monorail train stuck on the tracks just before 10:30 p.m

Guests were stranded on the monorail while emergency crews evacuated them via rescue buckets two at a time.

It was reported that you could smell burnt electrical/brake smell in the air.

All of the guests were fine and they were all on the ground around 1:30am.

The Reedy Creek Fire Department has not said what happened to cause the monorail to break down.

Help Sign The “Keep The Disney PhotoPass Cast Members” Petition!

Help Sign The "Keep The Disney PhotoPass Cast Members" Petition!

As you probably have seen already, automated cameras have been taking over Walt Disney World in the last few months.

Disney decided to replace PhotoPass Cast Members at certain Meet&Greet locations with automated camera boxes.

The guests respond to these changes hasn’t being positive at all, and honestly we are not surprised, the new technology lacks of magic.

While improvements and technology can be great in so many aspects around Disney Parks like enhancing rides and shows, as well as increasing efficiency, removing Cast Members however was not a good move at all.

PhotoPass Cast Members play such a key part giving you the best experience possible when you get to meet your favorite Disney characters. Capturing those special memories from different angles and putting their own touch of magic to those pictures that guests would treasure forever.

We are hoping Disney realize the huge mistake they are making and do something about it.

If you would like to help, there is a petition going on that you could sign and share with your friends and family!

Fall is right around the corner, and that usually means pumpkin spice and everything nice! Well, get ready to “fall” in love with a few new treats from Vivoli Il Gelato at Disney Springs located in Walt Disney World. These limited-time treats and incredibly Instagram-worthy eats include the Apple Pie Bombolato, the Pumpkin Mudslide Milkshake, and the Leaning Tower of Doughnuts.

"Fall" In Love with the Autumn Inspired Treats From Vivoli Il Gelato at Disney Springs

First up is the Apple Pie Bombolato. Is it really fall if apple pie isn’t involved? This deliciousness is apple sorbetto, caramel sauce, and graham cracker crumbs pressed inside a warm Italian donut. This simple but flavorful sweet treat is priced at $9.50 (before tax).

"Fall" In Love with the Autumn Inspired Treats From Vivoli Il Gelato at Disney Springs

Move over Pumpkin Spice Latte, there’s a new sheriff in town. The Pumpkin Mudslide Milkshake contains pumpkin gelato, tiramisu gelato, milk, waffle cone, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. I was able to snag a quick taste of this one and it’s also a winner in my book. The milkshake is also big enough to share if you prefer, of course. This tasty treat is priced at $12.50 (before tax).

"Fall" In Love with the Autumn Inspired Treats From Vivoli Il Gelato at Disney Springs

Last, but certainly not least, is the Leaning Tower of Doughnuts. It’s certainly big enough to share, but the question is, will you? This decadence is actually customizable. You pick two scoops of your favorite gelato, your favorite sauce, add the Italian donut, donut holes, and whipped cream to top it off. This delectable treat is priced at $15 (before tax).
