How did the holiday season come so quickly this year? Before you know it, this last couple of months will fly by and 2020 will be here. What better way to celebrate than to be at the happiest place on earth! Thankfully, Walt Disney World has you covered and is giving you plenty of options at their resorts. All of your favorite Disney pals will be there! However you want to spend your New Year’s Eve, you may as well ring in the New Year in Disney Resort style.
There will be three different rooftop celebrations this year, all including DJ’s, delicious food, and of course, an amazing view of Disney’s New Year’s Eve firework display. These will be at the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
If you’re not interested in the rooftop setting and prefer something else, have no fear! There will be many other celebration areas, from the Fantasia Ballro0m at the Contemporary to the Grand Floridian, there is something for everyone. As similar to other locations, there will be a Champagne Toast and firework viewing at many places, each with their own magnificent theme. This includes the Ink and Paint Club and Pixar Party, both at the Contemporary, Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s Boardwalk, as well as the Flying Fish.
All of these events are booking very quickly, though, so make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure that you can ring in the New Year at a Disney Resort!

Disney TSUM TSUM FESTIVAL has landed on the Nintendo Switch, and we were invited to check it out. This exciting new game enables fans from all over the world to collect and play with some of their favorite Disney and Pixar characters. As adorable TSUM TSUMS of course. This is the the first time ever fans have been able to play TSUM TSUM on console.
Fun for the whole family!
One of the things we found most exciting about this game, was the ability to have four players! When you have more than 2 people in your family, it’s nice to find a game everyone can play together. In this game you can earn coins, rack up points and collect Tsum Tsums!
You can play a variety of activities with your Tsum Tsum which will let you rack up points to build up your collection. You can even check out activities like Air Hockey, Curling and Coin Dozer with your friends and see who is the best at each activity. The game also features the same delightful artwork as the original Tsum Tsum mobile game we all fell in love with years ago. Plus you can even connect online to play with other friends from around the world.
As you earn points, you’ll earn more coins! Coins are what allow you to purchase more Tsum Tsums. You can add these Tsums to your adorably cute collection to use in the puzzle game.
As a long time fan of Tsum Tsums, I was overjoyed to share this game with my family. We played the original game on launch day, and also have quite the collection of Tsum Tsum plush too! This was like reliving the moments when we first discovered Tsum Tsums.
TSUM TSUM FESTIVAL comes on the Nintendo Switch, and retails for $49.95, and is available at a variety of retailers. Will you be playing this whimsical and fun new game with your family?

The holidays are in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort and so are the festive treats! Even Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some festive snacks and this Jumbo Mickey Shaped Sugar Cookie was delicious.
This jumbo cookie has a new holiday twist with some green frosting and red and white sprinkles. It was a perfect snack for sharing (or not, no judgment here). The sugar cookie was nice and soft and super yummy. I was not disappointed at all.
The price for this Jumbo Mickey Sugar Cookie was great too! It was $5.49 plus tax. For being a snack at Disney I feel this was a great price. Especially considering the size of it. You can also use a Disney Dining Plan snack credit on this particular treat. It’s located inside the bakery in Africa. The bakery is near the safari exit and Planet Watch.
This cookie was definitely a winner as far as snacks go. I’m really excited that Animal Kingdom has some festive snacks and decor this holiday season. Make sure to stay tuned for even more holiday happenings at Animal Kingdom and the rest of the Walt Disney World Resort.
Nothing says fall like the Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic. This is one of my favorite events to experience at Walt Disney World. I have been coming to the “Classic” for years. Each and every year they never disappoint.
Who doesn’t love all you can food and drink you can handle from some of the best dining establishments on Disney Property.
This year we started the event with a wonderful seminar with Kristian called “It’s better to wine in Italian.”
Learning all about the deep history of the wines in Italy speaks to my soul since I am Italian.
Kristian is such an amazing presenter and I will never eat Nutella the same way again! Spoilers…
After the wine seminar, you get to head out to the causeway and the fun begins. Digging the live music…
The cast members serving the Food & Wine are so friendly and knowledgeable.
I love how the chefs prepare the food right in front of you so you know it is fresh and yummy.
The foods are made by the chefs at your favorite Swan & Dolphin restaurants. I loved the sushi at Kimonos.
To enhance the Food & Wine you are greeted with a stunning backdrop.
They have live music, movies, entertainers, and so much more… This year the new Hang Ten area was one of my favorite spots to hang out.
I especially liked the Bruce Lee movies in the Chinatown area along with…
The crispy duck!
Ok I know I have hyped up this event enough let’s show you the stars of the Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic… THE FOOD!
and this only a sampling of foods and wines available… There was no way I could eat and drink everything they offered. Good job if you did!
If you love Food, Wine, and Beer, this is one event you don’t want to miss out on.
Special thank you to the guys at the Swan & Dolphin for hosting us for this superb event. This is one event we love visiting year after year. The food is always fantastic, the wine & beer from around the globe is so wonderful, and the electricity in the atmosphere makes this a not miss event for us!
I am so glad this wine glass was acrylic as I might have dropped it a few times 😉
So if you have never visited the Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine classic make sure you get those tickets next year when they come available. You will be glad you did!
One of Disneyland’s Opening day attractions is about to undergo renovations! Disneyland’s Snow White’s Scary Adventures is one of several Fantasyland attractions from Disneyland’s 1955 opening day. Other opening attractions include Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Mad Tea Party, and King Arthur Carousel, which have all undergone renovations as well.
Disneyland officials confirmed the Snow White’s Scary Adventures attraction is the next original attraction scheduled attraction set for refurbishment in 2020. Disneyland has announced they have filed for a building permit with the city of Anaheim for a $445,000 refurbishment.
While there is no word on when the renovations will officially start or how long they will take place, Disneyland has extensive plans set in place for the refurbishment. The permit highlights the scope of the proposed work as “Tenant Improvement: 6,212 sq ft to remove and replace show prop sets and scenes, install new structural beams, rockwork and new projector platforms”.
Disneyland will remove and replace show sets, props, and scenes, install new structural beams, refurbish rock work and make electrical upgrades on the 6,200-square-foot Snow White dark ride.
In addition, the permit also calls for new projector platforms that suggest that the attraction could see some potentially upgraded special effects in select show scenes.
According to Disney.com, Snow White’s Scary Adventures is true to its name, focusing on the perils of Snow White’s fairytale journey. The ride includes some dark, spooky scenes that may be frightening for young children—including dungeons, skeletons, haunted trees, unexpected transformations and a menacing evil Queen.
It will be interesting to see what the refurbishments will entail when they are all said and done. What do you think of the proposed refurbishments? Tell us in the comments!
