Disney+ Is Finally Here! Check Out Our Disney+ Beginners Tutorial and Resourceful Information. Exciting day Disney Fans! Disney+ is finally here and we are so excited to share some details about the service. You may be experiencing issues with logging in and streaming. Today there will be a very high volume of traffic on Disney+ that will cause delays, so please be patient and understanding with the Disney+ team, customer service departments, and with anyone who may be assisting you. They are people too and are doing their best while Disney+ launches today. Thank-you!

We logged on early to check out all the features so you can know the in’s and out’s of Disney+ before you even log in. We hope you find this article information and insightful. Please note: This information was gathered using Amazon Fire TV, user information may vary device to device.

Now, Let’s get started!

First Time log-in procedure:

  • Download the Disney+ app on your compatible device(s)
  • Either purchase a monthly or annual subscription to Disney+ or sign up for a week long trial using a credit card (Don’t worry, Your card will not be charged until the end of the first week you use the service without cancelling)
  • If you already have a subscription, be sure to click “Sign-In” and enter the email you used to register for the subscription. Have your phone, tablet, or computer ready, because Disney+ will email you a one time verification code to enter on the next screen
  • Enter your 6-digit verification code when prompted
  • Disney+ will have you enter a new password to use for future log in’s on chosen devices
  • Ta-Da! You now have access to Disney+! Woo hoo!

Next, you will be moved to the home screen showcasing popular and new titles at the top followed by category boxes labeled: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

If you click on Disney it brings you to a new screen with a featured title at the top followed by these categories:

  • Originals
  • Live-Action Movies
  • Animated Movies
  • Disney Channel Series
  • Out of the Vault
  • ’90s Throwbacks
  • Disney Channel Original Movies
  • Mickey Mouse Through the Years
  • Princesses and Fairy Tales
  • Disney Junior Series

If you click on Pixar it brings you to a new screen with a featured title at the top followed by these categories:

  • Movies
  • Originals
  • Toy Story
  • Cars
  • Unlikely Heroes
  • Shorts
  • Pixar Through the Years

If you click on Marvel it brings you to a new screen with a featured title at the top followed by these categories:

  • Movies
  • Series and Specials
  • Mini-Adventures
  • Spider-Verse
  • Marvel Through the Years

If you click on Star Wars it brings you to a new screen with a featured title at the top followed by these categories:

  • Movies
  • Series
  • Shorts

If you click on National Geographic it brings you to a new screen with a featured title at the top followed by these categories:

On the Home Page of Disney+ under the categories you will find sub categories with combinations of films and series from each studio, they are listed as:

To add your profile, simply click on the profile icon and click “Add Profile”. Choose an icon featured various characters from the films and shows on Disney+ including:

When you go to the search tab, a new screen shows a search bar at the top with the alphabet, backspace, space, and numbers. If you wish to search collections below the search bar they are listed as follows:

Home will bring you back to the home screen.

Watchlist will bring you to a list of titles you have added to the list for easy viewing with minimal searching.

Originals showcases the various Disney+ Originals that can be found on the site.

Movies breaks all movies down into these categories:

  • Featured
  • All Movies: A-Z
  • Action/Adventure
  • Animation
  • Comedy
  • Documentary
  • Drama
  • Shorts
  • Ultra HD and HDR

Series breaks the shows down to these categories:

  • Featured
  • All Series: A-Z
  • Action/Adventure

  • Comedy
  • Docuseries
  • Kids

In settings you will find:

  • Account
  • Help
  • Legal
  • Log Out

As well as the latest version currently in use. If you click on “Account” your email and protected password will pop up and there is an option to change either, granted you remember your password.  The “Help” Feature prompt you to visit: help.disneyplus.com for FAQ’s and contact information. Legal and Log Out are fairly self explanatory.

Some other features of Disney+ include a “Kids Mode” where content that may be rated PG-13 is removed from access, keeping your little ones from putting on movies or shows they are not old enough to watch without consent from you, their parent(s) or guardians.
