The Walt Disney World Skyliner is an exciting way of transportation connecting Epcot and Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the upcoming Disney’s Riviera Resort. What all of these resorts also now have in common is a fun new way to participate in the Disney Refillable Mug Program.
These ruby red stainless steel mugs, complete with the Skyliner logo, are becoming available for purchase at all Disney resorts linked to the gondolas. Since plastic refillable mugs come with the purchase of the Disney Dining Plan, there is now an option to upgrade for only $10 to receive the Skyliner inspired cup instead.
However, if you are not on the Disney Dining plan, you can purchase the mug for $29.99, though no discounts can be applied. The purchase of the mug gives you unlimited refills for up to two weeks (or the length of your stay) on fountain drinks, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate from self-service beverage locations at the resorts.
The mugs are vacuum insulated and can keep drinks hot for up to four hours and cold for up to 12 hours! It has an easy-to-open top sliding lid. However, it isn’t microwave or dishwasher safe.
Be sure to enjoy a ride over on the Skyliner to one of the connected resorts and grab one of these popular mugs before they’re gone!
ANOTHER new holiday popcorn bucket has arrived at the Animal Kingdom. If I’m counting right this is the 5th popcorn bucket of the season. Whew! This is one of the traditional buckets but has a beautiful mural-like, shimmering picture of the Tree of Life surrounded by the beautiful winter puppets. The polar bears are just adorable!
The transformation of colors as you turn is absolutely stunning. And for $12 it is the most reasonable of the popcorn buckets available. It does come with popcorn and includes $2 refills for the remainder of your stay.
They also debuted a coordinating mug! The cast member told me that this one will cost $14.58 with a fountain drink. I believe the price will fluctuate depending on your beverage choice. In the past, these have not been eligible for refills and I do not believe this one is either.
Both of these seem to be exclusive to Animal Kingdom. There are honestly so many holiday sights to see at Animal Kingdom this year so make sure to add a visit soon!
It is almost a new year, which means new 2020 dated merchandise, and we’ve already spotted new ears! The new 2020 Minnie Mouse Ears showed up this week, and they sparkling beauties! These ears also have so much sparkle, they are like their own little mini New Year’s Eve party!
These new ears are a gorgeous regal blue, with a mix of primary colors sprinkled in. A very colorful “2020” is embroidered onto the side of the headband, which has also become one of my favorite new details on ears. A large plush blue sequined bow sits in the center. The bow really pops against the confetti glitter on the ears.
The glitter on these ears are a coarse confetti style, in array of different colors. There are also larger multi-colored star shaped confettis, that really make these POP! They almost remind me of the filling in those little champagne popper bottles you get at New Years. You can check out our video here of all the sparkles and glitters!
We found the new 2020 ears headband at the African Outpost area Animal Kingdom, and we expect them to start showing up throughout the Disney parks soon. Just like the rest of the regular release Minnie ears, these retail for $29.99!

Good news travelers! The Earport at the Orlando International Airport is now open once more! After it’s revamp, it is now called Magic Of Disney! This is a beautiful gift shop located in the airport that is filled with Disney goodies, including Disney Parks exclusive merchandise!
The store looks beautiful, and has a very welcoming feel. This is a great way to pick up little things you may have forgotten while visiting the parks.
The characters outside the store are no longer there, however there is now interactive digital walls! There is one large stretching digital screen on the outside, and a smaller one on the side. The images on these change frequently with different scenes.
There are several sections of merchandise including Frozen, Toy Story, Star Wars, and even holiday!
I personally love the addition of the Mickey passport compas on the floor at the entryway. This design has been featured on lots of Walt Disney World merchandise this year as well.
It is not a large location, but it definitely has a better flow to it than it had previously.

Twice a month for the past twenty years the incredible Disney chefs of the Walt Disney World Resort have brought fresh, nutritious meals to local nonprofit organization Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. This organization serves more than 20,000 meals to those in need each and every year… and 9,000 of those meals are freshly-prepared and served by Walt Disney World Resort chefs.
The meals are prepared in their Disney kitchens and the chefs then team up with Disney VoluntEARs to serve the offerings to nearly 600 residents at the coalition.
This commitment doesn’t waver over the holiday season, with a Disney chef visiting each and every Thanksgiving to make sure the residents of the Coalition for the Homeless enjoy a traditional holiday meal with all the fixings we know and love—roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, stuffing, salad, rolls, cranberry sauce, and dessert.
Some of the chefs who have served at the coalition throughout 2019 teamed up to share their top Thanksgiving tips for your own holiday meal prep this year—inspired by a traditional Thanksgiving meal, just like the one the chefs are serving up at the Coalition next week!

New Star Wars Merch is on the Way and YES “Baby Yoda” is Included! Just in time for The Holidays, CNBC has learned that Disney has rolled out new Star Wars merchandise set to be available at popular retail stores across the nation very soon. Since episode 1 premiered of Disney+ Original Series, The Mandalorian, fans have been feverishly searching for merchandise of a surprise character that instantly stole our hearts, “Baby Yoda”.
Of course, we are well aware this new character is NOT in fact Jedi Master Yoda, since he became one with the force in Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of The Empire but before the rise of The First Order. Since we never learned the proper name of Yoda’s species and have yet to learn a name for this cute little baby, the internet went ahead and gave it the moniker, “Baby Yoda” for the time being.
According to CNBC, retailers such as Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic and Box Lunch are set to receive new Star Wars merchandise as early as tomorrow (Friday) Just in time for The Mandalorian Episode 3! YAY! Obviously it will take some time to stock shelves for retail stores, but other retailers such as Amazon, have already started to featured merchandise centered around “Baby Yoda”.
With this sort of roll out before the holidays, it is highly likely this merchandise will include items themed around Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as well. To be honest, there is so much Star Wars going on at the moment and I am 100% here for it. (Insert ‘heart eye emoji here’, hehe)
