James Cameron Believes ‘Avatar‘ Will Beat ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ Record With Theatrical Re-Release. Avatar is set to be re-released in theaters before the premiere of ‘Avatar 2’ in 2021. Recently, Avatar‘s record as highest grossing film of all time was broken with the release of Marvel Studios, Avengers: Endgame. Endgame currently sits at $2,798 billion in earnings, with Avatar’s long standing record standing at $2,744 billion.

Avatar Director and creator, James Cameron, believes with the scheduled theatrical re-release Avatar will win back its record.

“I think it’s a certainty,” proclaims Cameron on the idea that “Avatar” will eventually pass “Avengers” in theaters. “But let’s give ‘Endgame’ their moment and let’s celebrate that people are going to the movie theater.”

James Cameron has expressed he “really enjoyed” seeing Avengers: Endgame and is very happy to see audiences thrilled to fill the theaters, but feels Marvel’s victory will be short lived thanks to the release of the 4 Avatar sequels that are well into production.

“I don’t want to sound snarky after I took the high road (by offering congratulations),” he says. “But they beat us by one quarter of a percent [at the time]. I did the math in my head while driving in this morning. I think accountants call that a rounding error.”

James is referring to his post of Iron Man being covered with the “Atokirina”, or woodsprites, from Pandora. Cameron wrote: “Oel Ngati Kameie, I see you Marvel – Congratulations to Avengers Endgame on becoming the new box-office king.”

Disney Cruise Line Crew Members Spread Holiday Cheer Around The World!

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing with those around us!

And Disney Cruise Line crew members know this very well, that’s why they have been spreading some holiday cheer in communities all around the world.

This year Disney Voluntears from all four ships and Castaway Cay donated their time to visit children in need in The Bahamas, the Caribbean and Papenburg, Germany where the Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line newest ship will be built.

Crew members were also joined by two special guests, Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey! Who helped delivered gifts to more then 1,500 kids in hospitals, schools and children’s care facilities.

This is just another example of Disney’s effort to give back to the communities and those in need.

Josh Gad Surprises Guests At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Anna? Elsa? Samantha? No, it’s Olaf!

Recently, guests attending the For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios got a warm surprise from Josh Gad who voiced Olaf in Frozen and Frozen 2.

The actor stopped by at the end of the show to sing Olaf’s famous song “In Summer” and talk about all things Frozen 2.

The Frozen Sing-Along tells the story of Frozen recounted by the Royal Historians of Arendelle with scenes from the movie playing on the screen and special appearances by Anna, Elsa and Kristoff that sing along with the audience plus some snow at the end!

Rise Of Skywalker Is Now Available On Star Tours in Hollywood Studios

The Rise of Skywalker has hit theaters and also has been added to the ride Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This already action-packed ride was spot on with adding some amazing new scenes that transport guests right into some amazing sequences from the final movie of the Star Wars saga.

The new scenes we got to experience started out with Kylo Ren looking for a Resistance spy aboard our transport. From there we were sent to the oceanic moon of Kef Bir and into the water trying to get to the remains of the Death Star. We were greeted by Lando Calrissian giving us coordinates to a rendezvous point. We got to join some of the final battles from The Rise of Skywalker as well.

While guests would have a better understanding of the new scenes if they have seen the latest Star Wars film I don’t think it’s too spoilery if fans haven’t seen it. The new scenes are fun and entertaining and a great addition to the already amazing ride. Just as a reminder there is no way to predict which scene you will get when you go on Star Tours. It is all random. But if you manage to get the newest scenes you won’t be disappointed.

Star Wars Fan Film Kenobi Makes Its Stellar Debut

This Christmas Eve, Star Wars fans around the world can enjoy the debut of “Kenobi“! This highly anticipated fan film will be available on YouTube and will take fans on a unique adventure with the familiar franchise.

This short film takes fans back to the dessert planet of Tatooine. Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who now goes by “Ben” is watching over a special child. This child holds the fate of the galaxy within them. However, Kenobi is plagued with doubt and guilt. He feels as though he’s failed the Republic and the Jedi order. Most of all, he feels like he failed Anakin Skywalker. Now, he will be tested again with this child and will attempt right the wrong that he blames himself for.

“Kenobi” comes to us by the talent of Jamie Costa. Costa also portrays Obi-Wan in the film. This isn’t the first fan film he’s created and worked on. In 2016, Costa debuted Han Solo: A Smuggler’s Trade- A Star Wars Fan Film. Costa will be joined by Audie Rick who will play a young Luke Skywalker. Even, Mark Hamill himself approved of the casting for Luke, calling Audie his “mini me”.

Kenobi will debut on December 24th on YouTube for all Star Wars fans to enjoy! You definitely don’t want to miss this!

Permanent ‘Awesome Planet’ Sign Now at ‘The Land’ in Epcot

A new experience is coming soon to Epcot! The attraction- Awesome Planet- now has its permanent sign up in The Land Pavilion and has made the project even more official.

Awesome Planet will be a fun new learning experience located above the Living With the Land ride in The Land Pavilion. The film will showcase the beauty and dynamic features of our planet.

The sign consists of big and bold letters spelling out “Awesome Planet” with a silhouette of the Earth. A ‘Coming Soon’ sign is posted directly below it.

Seeing this permanent sign placed creates excitement for everything that is coming soon to Epcot and a whole WORLD of possibilities!
