Canceled Marvel TV Shows possibly in development

There is a lot of speculation going around about the fate of all the canceled Marvel TV Shows from Netflix. The shows were Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cake, Iron Fist, Punisher, and The Defenders.

Netflix did not have an ownership stake in any of its Marvel TV series. Each of the six Marvel TV shows was owned by Disney and Netflix paid ABC Studios a very large licensing fee for each season of its respective series.

But today it’s being reported that there is talk that the agreement between Disney/Marvel and Netflix might have come to some sort of agreement.

Does this mean we might see these shows coming to Disney+ sometime in the future? I for one was upset when Netflix canceled these shows but it makes sense with Disney+ on the horizon last year.

For now, chalk this up as mere gossip, as soon as we have more information we will share it here on Chip and Co!

Taika Waititi Confirms Thor: Love and Thunder Will Begin Filming in Summer 2020. The famed Thor: Ragnarok director, Taika Waititi, will be returning to the MCU to direct Thor: Love and Thunder and spoke with Variety while walking the red carpet at the BAFTA’s and shared when we can expect filming to begin on the highly anticipated sequel.

“Well, we move down to Sydney [Australia] around April, I think, maybe. And then we’ll start shooting probably around August, I think,” Waititi shared.

Variety also asked Taika if he knew anything about the fires in Australia affecting the film schedule for ‘Thor 4’ to which he replied, “I mean, I don’t know. It’s insane what’s happening down there. I just keep reading about it every day and it seems to be getting worse. It’s absolute chaos.”

Thor: Love and Thunder will see the return of Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) who will become the first MCU Lady Thor, as well as the return of Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie). Taika Waititi himself will be reprising his fan favorite role as Korg for the film. The film is slated to take place in Phase 5 of the MCU.

Frozen 2: Biggest Animated Movie Of All Time!

Into the Unknown!!

Frozen 2 is taking over the box office again with $1.325 billion worldwide making it the biggest animated movie of all time! Surpassing its own original movie, The Incredibles 2 and The Lion King.

Last year was also a good year for Anna and Elsa getting 3rd place in the box office and the 14th place in the list of highest grossing movies of all time.

In this new installment Elsa starts to feel unsettle when she keeps hearing a mysterious voice calling her, so she decides to travel to the enchanted forest and dark seas beyond her kingdom into a journey of self discovering with the help of Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven.

Frozen 2 has received positive reviews despite people being unsure about a second part of the super popular Frozen. The new story might be a bit more dark and mature but just like Anna and Elsa, the audience has grown during these years too so the story is still relatable to everyone and a big success in the box office.

New Star Wars Films Rumored to Occur in ‘High Republic Era’. Previously, we reported of a new set of Star Wars trilogy that was meant to be created by Game of Thrones writers, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff. Weiss and Benioff backed down from the project at the end of 2019 over fears of backlash from the Star Wars franchise after a not so successful finish to their hit show, Game of Thrones.

Many fans have been wondering what other factors may have intimidated the writers into backing out of writing new Star Wars Stories, and it seems the scope of the films was much more than what was known by the public at the time. The folks at MakingStarWars.Net have shared new insight into what we can expect from these new films.

First off, the films will not be a formal trilogy. They will instead be a series of films taking place around the same time period known by Star Wars fans as the “High Republic Era,” which took place roughly 400 years before the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The new film structure was discussed by Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy, who feels this will allow for a more free flowing way of story telling.

“Obviously, that’s what’s we’ve been spending so much time talking about, and it’s a really important transition for ‘Star Wars,’” Kennedy said. “What we’ve been focused on these last five or six years is finishing that family saga around the Skywalkers. Now is the time to start thinking about how to segue into something new and different. I think it gives us a more open-ended view of storytelling and doesn’t lock us into this three-act structure,” she continued. “We’re not going to have some finite number and fit it into a box. We’re really going to let the story dictate that.”

The films will still be connected through various characters and key moments and events, but will not be formatted to continue telling the same story through a primary set of characters. We may or may not get the chance to see current characters such as Master Yoda and Maz Kanata, who we know to have been alive or born during the High Republic Era, and we may get to see the appearance of Darth Bane, but that is yet to be seen.

For a child visiting Walt Disney World, the magic and memories are surely fixed on Cinderella’s castle, Pirates of the Caribbean, and meeting their favorite Disney characters up close. But there’s a secret Disney Magic that exists only for parents that seldom gets recognized.

The quiet ride home is a magic that only parents know. That end-of-the-day exhaustion, where children fall asleep in the car, clutching the tail end of their perfect day, maybe still cradling a new toy or wearing a pair of Mickey ears, just simply unable to add another moment to their wakeful hours. It’s the sign of success, that moms and dads look for to confirm that their child lived out every fantasy and expressed every ounce of joy. Disney Parks are fun for parents too, but the real magic is in the enjoyment of their children. That’s why this series of photos rings true for so many.

Disney photographer Catie McCabe is the artist behind a new ad campaign, under creative leadership from VP Jean Batthany and Director of Creative Jim Real, by in-house Disney ad agency Yellow Shoes. The campaign is surprisingly lacking in any Walt Disney World points of interest, but it is this simplicity that makes it striking. Rather than focusing on the excitement and drama of the day, as most ads do, it allows a quiet moment of reflection: what is the purpose of all the fun? Why do we go to Walt Disney World in the first place? For parents, it’s the joy and dreams of our children.

Stitch is returning to the Scentsy family, and this time with a friend! A New Stitch and Angel Scentsy collection is headed our way January 13th! While Angel may not have had a lot of screentime, she has certainly become a fan favorite icon!

She’s a pop culture SCENT-sation, who is always popular in collectibles. Because the Stitch Scentsy Buddy was so popular when he first launched, Scentsy decided that the Angel Scentsy Buddy needed to debut with Stitch! So Stitch has been brought out of the vault by popular demand.

Princess and the Frog Treat Coming to the Magic Kingdom!

A brand new Princess and the Frog inspired treat is coming soon to the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, available during the special ticketed event, Disney Villains After Hours 2020 running from February 7th through to July 10th 2020!

The Just Take Three treat consists of three mouthwatering beignets dusted with powdered sugar and served with creamy vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream and chocolate ganache. This delicious treat can be found at Sleep Hollow, Magic Kingdom.

Disney Villains After Hours 2020 is an incredible event promising you an evening full of villainy and fun. The Painting the Roses Red, will be available at the Cheshire Café during Disney Villains After Hours. This wonderland dessert is a cheesecake mousse with raspberry gelee, red cocoa butter, and garnished with buttercream leaves!
