Monorail Schedule Changes Coming to Epcot

Monorail Schedule Changes Coming to Epcot

As many of you are aware there are updates that the monorail system requires from time to time. Some of this work is set to start on January 13, 2020. They will be doing construction on the beams over by Epcot. This will affect when the Epcot Monorails will be operational.   If you plan to utilize the monorail system on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays you will have to make note of the adjusted operation times. For the time being, if you are planning your trip to Epcot on these days, the monorail will only be open after 10 am. Usually, the Monorail is accessible at 8 am. Until further notice, it will retain those operating hours on days other than Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Monorail Schedule Changes Coming to Epcot

Luckily there are multiple other options for transportation around the parks. The bus system can bring you to and from the Disney hotels or other Disney parks. The friendship ferry boats can bring you from the Epcot area hotels and Hollywood Studios.  Also, the new Skyliner system can give you access to Epcot from Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribean Beach Resort, Hollywood Studios, as well as from Disney’s New Riviera Resort.  (Which if you haven’t checked out you should). Make note that these alternate routes of transportation can sometimes take longer than using the monorail system, and plan accordingly.

We will update you once the schedule change and construction are completed. Stay connected with Chip and Co for these updates, and for all the new changes coming to Epcot and the other Disney Parks and hotels.

501st Legion Helped Make Episode 7 and 8 of ‘The Mandalorian’ Possible

501st Legion Helped Make Episode 7 and 8 of 'The Mandalorian' Possible

501st Legion Helped Make Episode 7 and 8 of ‘The Mandalorian‘ Possible. Despite having a MASSIVE budget for the new Star Wars series, it appears funds couldn’t help one major issue the show runners had… finding enough Stormtrooper costumes for the final scene in Episode 7 and throughout Episode 8.

Where the series faltered, the biggest Star Wars fanbase, the 501st Legion, stepped up to help out production by offering their services as extras in the new Star Wars Series.

“So fun fact: for episodes 7-8 of #TheMandalorian, they didn’t have enough costumes for all of the Storm Troopers needed in a scene. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni enlisted the help of a local 501st Legion chapter, comprised of fans with their own costumes, to fill in those spots pic.twitter.com/9BgBWx6hgb”— Probably Josh (@TweetinJoshBe) December 28, 2019

501st Legion Helped Make Episode 7 and 8 of 'The Mandalorian' Possible

Comicbook.com shared, “If you are unfamiliar, the 501st Legion is a global Star Wars fan group that was first started by Albin Johnson. The group has gained notoriety due to the fact that members put almost slavish effort into creating film-worthy Star Wars Imperial Trooper cosplay. The group has expanded to include any Star Wars villain cosplay, whether it’s the Stormtroopers, Sith Lords, bounty hunters, or other villain characters from official canon or Expanded Universe. The organization’s name is an ode to the elite Imperial trooper legion known as “Vader’s Fist,” that served under Darth Vader’s command during the Imperial Era.”

Obviously, the series would have been very different without the help of the 501st, and we are so grateful they decided to step in a save the day, even if they are featuring Imperial characters. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co for all things Star Wars!

‘Star Wars: Rebels’ May Be Getting A Spin-Off Series on Disney+

'Star Wars: Rebels' May Be Getting A Spin-Off Series on Disney+

Star Wars: Rebels‘ May Be Getting A Spin-Off Series on Disney+. According to showrunner Dave Filoni, he feels there are several characters who’s stories are not yet complete, and that we MAY get to see them unfold on Disney’s new streaming platform, Disney+. Filoni has been hard as work with Jon Favreau on the set of The Mandalorian Season 2, it seems he is working equally as hard on other Star Wars projects, including a potential new series that will likely become a spin-off series from Star Wars: Rebels, with focuses on characters such as Ahsoka Tano and Sabine.

“I feel a responsibility to know and start to figure out what that story is because the fans seem really interested in it, as I’m interested in it,” the producer shared. “Whether it actually ever happens, I don’t know yet, but I still think about it anyway. I think of all kinds stories, and some of them happen and find their way into a release, and some don’t.”

'Star Wars: Rebels' May Be Getting A Spin-Off Series on Disney+

With his busy schedule, Comicbook.com had asked Dave if he would be comfortable allowing other storytellers to continue sharing stories of characters from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, to which he claims would “be hard to do” given his time and effort given with each of these characters since the beginning.

“That would be hard,” Filoni shared, “That would be, to be honest. That’d be really hard for me to do at this point, just because I’ve been a part of it for so long. Since, especially, Ahsoka’s beginning,” Filoni shared. “I can’t imagine not being involved in some way with what would happen to her. Or Sabine, for that matter.”

'Star Wars: Rebels' May Be Getting A Spin-Off Series on Disney+

We would love to see more Star Wars on Disney+, especially with the raging success of The Mandalorian proving there are many other stories yet to be told within the Star Wars Universe. After the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans have been calling for more Star Wars content with Ahsoka Tano, many asking for her own live-action series on Disney+.

Are you excited by the idea of a new Star Wars series on Disney+? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Star Wars!
