Honeydukes is one of the best spots at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They have such an amazing candy selection and it’s just like being in the movies. The latest candies to hit the case at Honeydukes are a brand new line of caramels.
There are seven flavors in the new caramels. They are Apple Toffee, Coffee, Chocolate Orange, Coconut, English Lavender, Pumpkin, and Vanilla Bean. You get them at the bakery case inside of Honeydukes.
The caramels come one piece for $3.95 plus tax, three pieces for $9.95 plus tax, or five pieces for $16.95 plus tax. If you get three or five you get them in a nice decorated box.
The pieces are really large and I feel like they are a good price for what you’re getting. You can get these new specialty caramels at Honeydukes in Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) or at Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in Diagon Alley (Universal Studios).
Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page posted about celebrating Cast Members returning for the reopening of Disney’s All-Star Movies resort. “Our Cast Members put the “all-star” in Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort! We were so glad to see so many familiar faces as this whimsical resort stepped back into the spotlight for its grand reopening earlier this week. Between our dazzling Cast Members and the larger-than-life character statues, this resort has so much character!”
Disney’s All-Star Movies resort, along with all the other Disney resorts, all shut down last March during the Covid pandemic. Over a year later and Cast Members are finally returning to work! This is great news for those that have been furloughed for far too long.
We recently got a sneak peak at the refurbished rooms at Disney All-Star Movies resort.
Celebrate the women responsible for making magic at Walt Disney World! Celebrate Women’s History Month thanks to Disney Parks Blog, by celebrating the iconic women who have made magic possible across the Walt Disney Company! Disney Park Blogs have interviewed five incredible female leaders as we celebrate an incredible moment, where for the first time in history- all four of Walt Disney World’s theme parks are led and protected by women!
The five ladies interviewed are Vice Presidents Jackie Swisher, Kartika Rodriguez, Melissa Valiquette, and Sarah Riles and Linda Reid, Vice President of security. Together, they are responsible for leading the magic at Walt Disney World’s four theme parks and beyond! Together, they break barriers and continue to encourage so many women within the Walt Disney Company and beyond to “follow their dreams”
Jackie Swisher, Vice President Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Meet Jackie Swisher, Vice President of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience to this beloved theme park! Jackie’s main passion is creating an inclusive environment for her team. Encouraging cast members to have courage and speak out is always her top priority, as she believe “it’s important to learn from women (and men) who don’t look like me or who have an opinion that is different than mine.”
Through empowerment, Jackie believes it’s the small actions to lift up other women that are often the most impactful ways to support and celebrate them this month, and beyond. By “recognizing other women in a positive way can help build them up and grow self-confidence,” said Jackie. “You never know when you have said something that makes a real difference in someone’s life.”
Kartika Rodriguez, Vice President Epcot
Kartika continues to make history by becoming the first Black, female vice president to lead a Walt Disney World theme park. After her recent promotion from being EPCOT operations General Manager for five years!
Kartika has been with the Walt Disney Company for over 21 years and in her interview celebrates the number of women in leadership who paved the way before her. During her reflection she remembers thinking ‘I too, could have the opportunity to one day be a senior leader in this organization.’” Now, she’s leading one of the most significant transformations at EPCOT that is taking us into the next evolution of Walt Disney World Resort.
As a way to celebrate Women’s History Month, she encourages others to become a mentor as it often has just as much benefit to your development and growth as it does the mentee.“Sharing knowledge can feel empowering, and as you coach someone, you will likely collect knowledge as well.”
Melissa is recently celebrating her new role after overseeing EPCOT for the past six years! Like the fab five women today, Melissa started her journey in the Walt Disney Company as a Guest Relations Hostess at City Hall more than 25 years ago! Since then she recalls looking up at her male peers and brings awareness to the challenges of being a women in leadership.
Melissa reflects this challenge, “being of small stature, I often felt I needed to demonstrate more ‘command’, take up more room at the table, even speak a little deeper,” Melissa said.
For Melissa, the Former Walt Disney World President, Meg Crofton, has been a valuable role model for in her leadership journey and remembers, “through her example, I learned that leadership shines through, regardless of size, volume, or gender. I began to embrace my own inherent style that allowed me to grow and feel comfortable in my own skin.”
To the next generation of leaders, Melissa’s advice is to “work hard, be humble and genuine, build strong relationships at every opportunity and aim high!”
Sarah Riles Vice President Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Sarah comes from a diverse leadership background with roles from Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business Optimization and more. Such diversity brings Sarah valuable and unique perspectives to her role!
Sarah is proud to serve in her new role alongside the fab five and her admiration for women continues. For Sarah inspiration comes from women who have confidence in their values, who lead from the heart and those who find opportunities to serve others. A recent inspiration for Sarah comes from a leader who left her family in Taiwan to work at Disney. Sarah reports, “when she came here, she didn’t know how to do a lot of the things we take for granted. Now she is a successful leader with an inspiring story of bravery, risk-taking and following your dreams. Those are the types of courageous women that I admire most!”
Linda Reid Vice President of Security
Last but never least, Linda, Vice President of Security celebrates another strong woman in leadership. Linda has an impressive background in leading a variety of service and security teams outside of Disney and is now protecting the magic by leading the Walt Disney World Security Team!
Linda reflects being a female leader in an often male-dominated field. However, she is optimistic that her position can give other women hope and the confidence to follow their dream to become whoever they aspire to be! Furthermore, her own inspiration comes from fellow women who too have broken barriers. Linda reflects “other women inspire me by their stories of overcoming their own obstacles. Every one of us has a story of resilience and endurance—having the courage to be vulnerable and share these stories is powerful social medicine for our time.”
For Linda, her main piece of advice and inspiration is “do not allow anyone or anything to tell you that it’s not possible. If the goal is righteous, then never ever give it up.”
Linda also reflects on her opportunity to work alongside many great women who she sees as leaders, friends and even fellow moms. Together they are the driving force of the company and makes the future of Walt Disney World bring and magical!
Thanks to Disney Park Blogs for interviewing the Women of Walt Disney World who continue to make magic possible and hope to inspire future generations of women for the Walt Disney Company and the world beyond!

The new guidelines state that “Indoor rides must be limited to no more than 15 minutes. All queuing must be performed in outdoor settings only and guests from different households or other parties must be at least six feet apart during queuing.” So for rides with mostly indoor queues like Space Mountain, lines will likely be extended to spaces outside.
California theme parks will only be open to California residents. At this time, it doesn’t matter what COVID tier the counties are in, there is no plan for allowing non-Californian residents to visit theme parks. Guests will also need to make park reservations. “At the time a guest makes a park reservation and purchases park tickets, the park operators must obtain an attestation that when visiting the park, the guest’s party size will not contain more than 3 households and the guest, and all members of the guest’s party will be in-state visitors.”
Other guidelines like physical distancing and face coverings are similar to what we’ve already seen at other theme parks like Walt Disney World. Eating and drinking will only be allowed in designated areas and is prohibited while waiting in lines.
There are also guidelines specific to each COVID risk tier:
Red – Substantial – Tier 2
Parks must limit visitors to a maximum of 15% capacity.
Small Groups only – Limited to a maximum of 10 people or 3 household groups with no intergroup mixing
Indoor capacity limited to a maximum of 15%
No indoor dining
Orange – Moderate – Tier 3 •
Parks must limit visitors to a maximum of 25% capacity.
Indoor capacity limited to a maximum of 25%
Indoor dining limited to a maximum of 25% capacity
Yellow – Minimal – Tier 4
Parks must limit visitors to a maximum of 35% capacity
Indoor capacity limited to a maximum of 25%
Indoor dining limited to a maximum of 50% capacity
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure plan to reopen on April 30 so long as Orange County reaches the Red tier in time. Many Cast Members have already been recalled. You can see all of California’s guidelines here.

Two upcoming Marvel films will begin filming this summer. Despite production setbacks, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving full-steam ahead with these sequels.
According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance, both Captain Marvel 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will begin filming on May 31st. Quantumania will film in London and Atlanta, with filming expected to last until September 24th. Captain Marvel 2 will film in London and Los Angeles, and does not currently have an end filming date.
Captain Marvel 2 will be directed by Nia DaCosta, with a script written by Megan McDonnell, who is currently a staff writer on the Marvel Disney+ series WandaVision. The film will see the return of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and will also feature appearances from Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and Zawe Ashton in a currently-unknown role.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be directed by Peyton Reed. It will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man. The cast includes Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. Kathryn Newton will be playing a grown-up version of Cassie Lang, and Jonathan Majors will be portraying Kang the Conqueror.
We know we’re looking forward to seeing both of these Marvel Cinematic Universe sequels! Especially since so many adventures are in store for these characters over the next few years!
Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are seeing the next generation of heroes appear in different corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The most recent episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has Sam meeting another patriotic hero. The man they meet, Isaiah Bradley, is a veteran who operated as a super soldier for the United States in the 1950s. In Marvel comics, his grandson, Eli Bradley, goes on to become Patriot, a founding member of the Young Avengers. Seeing the events of this episode has some Marvel fans questioning if the Young Avengers will be coming to Disney+ in the future. Especially since three of this year’s Marvel Disney+ series have characters with ties to the Young Avengers team.
The recent WandaVision series introduced viewers to Wanda’s twins, Billy and Tommy, who both operated as founding members of the Young Avengers. Next is Kate Bishop. She will make her onscreen debut played by Hailee Steinfeld in Hawkeye, which premieres later this year. Plus, we’ve already seen Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man movies. With Kate and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, as well as potentially Eli, joining Cassie in the MCU, it’s looking like we could see an all-new, younger generation of heroes on our screen soon.

Our favorite place to get a hot dog in the Magic Kingdom – Casey’s Corner never reopened with Disney World last year. Many Disney Addicts myself included miss those yummy corn dogs with plastic cheese.
However last night we spotted new signage added to Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom. (thanks to our friend Tina)
Let’s take a closer look.
From the signage added yesterday it looks like Casey’s will be reopening soon with Mobile Order pickup! We hope!
The Mobile Order pickup is around the corner from the entrance where you can occasionally catch Jim tickling the ivories to ragtime tunes outside.
As of right now the Disney World Website still lists Casey’s Corner at Temporarily Unavailable. I tried moving weeks ahead hoping it would show times but there was nothing listed yet.
We hope with this new signage that Disney plans on reopening Casey’s Corner very soon.
