Idina Menzel & James Marsden are returning for the Enchanted sequel

All four leads of Disney’s Enchanted will return for its upcoming sequel. Composer Alan Menken shared that Tony winner Idina Menzel and James Marsden will reprise their roles as Nancy Tremaine and Prince Edward, respectively.

Amy Adams will reprise her role as Giselle in the movie musical, which will stream on Disney+. Patrick Dempsey is also boarding the project back to accompany her. The film is currently in production.

Also, Alan Menken will return to produce new music for the Enchanted sequel. Menken stated that the film is “really good,” and that “it’s filming.” But most importantly, Menken said “Amy Adams is in it. Patrick is in it. Idina Menzel is in it. James Marsden – they’re in it.”

It is currently unknown when the film will premiere, but Disney has shared the film will premiere exclusively on Disney+. Are you excited to hear all four of the original lead characters are returning to film the sequel? Let us know in the comments!

Height Requirement Added for VelociCoaster in Universal Orlando

The brand new Jurassic World VelociCoaster is getting closer and closer to opening. The latest detail added is the new thrill ride is now on the height requirement chart outside of the park. When you first arrive at Islands of Adventure they have a chart you can measure easily what your kids can ride.

As of yesterday, VelociCoaster is now officially on the height chart. It’s right in between Hagrid’s and the Hulk. It’s about at the 51” mark. Dr Doom Fearfall is 52″ and Hagrid’s is 48″.

Universal Orlando is definitely putting the finishing touches on this ride and details around the park. They now have the lockers installed where the discovery center is. The height requirement is ready, all we need now is the official opening date. Stay tuned as we keep reporting on the VelociCoaster.

Something is newer than ever in New Fantasyland, as Bonjour Gift Shop reopens after a quick refurb! This magical shop can be found over by Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom and closed briefly whilst the exterior received a quick touch of paint! Known as THE place to purchase Disney’s Beauty & The Beast gifts, this shop is also temporarily the Art of Disney shop as well due to some closes on Main Street, U.S.A.

Bonjour Gift Shop reopens for business after a quick refurbishment

Take a sneak peek inside this magical shop! From this picture you can also see all the Health & Safety protocols within the Disney World Parks and surrounding Hotels and Disney Springs, to ensure guests and cast members safety!

Bonjour! Village Gift Shop opened back in December of 2012. Much of New Fantasyland debuted at that time, including other Beauty and the Beast attractions. This includes Gaston’s Tavern, Be Our Guest Restaurant, and Enchanted Tales with Belle. The above attractions were closed due to last year’s lockdowns, and Enchanted Tales with Belle has yet to reopen due to COVID-19. So, there’s no better time to do a makeover than now! Alongside this, many of the other Magic Kingdom attractions are also receiving makeovers including Peter Pan’s Flight and It’s a Small World- just in time for the Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary!

Disney Addict John Stamos is excited for Disneyland to reopen soon!

John Stamos the star of ABC’s Full House and Disney+ original “Big Shot” recently took to his Instagram account to share with the world his excitement over the reopening of Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventures. Disneyland has been closed due to the coronavirus. It is finally reopening after being shut for over a year. The date for reopening is April 30, 2021.

John Stamos is a “addict” by his own account. He has filled his house with memorabilia from Disney Parks. In 2000 he was the winning bidder of the Disneyland sign that had stood from 1989 until 1999 on Mulholland Blvd. He also was a member of the Beach Boys when they played the grand opening of Disney California Adventure park. Let’s not forget the proposal to his long time girlfriend Caitlin McHugh in front of Sleeping Beauty castle. Ending the proposal with Sebastian from “The Little Mermaid” saying “Just ask the girl!”

During the Disney Family Singalong while performing “it’s a small world” his wife and son appear in a Dumbo. Yes a Dumbo! From Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride he had previously purchased.

In his Instagram post he shared it shows the Olsen twins and Minnie Mouse at Disneyland during the filming of the original Full House. The twins as Michelle and John as Uncle Jesse would later go on to film episodes of their show in Walt Disney World.

Theme Park Hours for Disney World have been extended in April!

Walt Disney World theme park hours have once again been extended! The hours for April 11 through April 17 have been extended to allow guests more time to enjoy the parks. Take a look!

Magic Kingdom was originally scheduled to be open from 9 am to 6 pm. Now, the park will be open from 8 am to 9 pm. That’s an extra four hours per day!!

Guests visiting the Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will now have 12 full hours to experience all the festival has to offer! Epcot will be open from 11 am to 11 pm rather than 11 am to 7 pm.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will now be open an extra 2 hours each day. The park will be open every day from 9 am to 8 pm. It was previously scheduled to open at 10 am and close at 7 pm.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also be open to guests for a full 12 hours! Rather than being open from 9 am to 5 pm, the park will now be open from 8 am to 8 pm.

Disneyland Resort attractions cast members return to work

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park are getting ready to reopen next month. As part of that preparation, attractions Cast Members are returning to work!

Disney is recalling 10,000 Cast Members to return to work. Attractions Cast Members are returning to some of our favorite rides like Star Tours, Radiator Springs Racers, and It’s a Small World.

The theme parks hope to reopen on April 30, 2021, so long as the county reaches the next lower COVID-19 tier.

We can’t wait for the Disneyland Resort theme parks to reopen! When the parks do reopen, they will be open to Californian residents only and will require park passes just like at Disney World.

We’re also so happy for Cast Members to be able to return to work!!

Hawkeye spinoff series staring Echo is coming to Disney+

We’re still months away from the premiere of Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+. However, the upcoming series seems to be leading to a spin-off show for another Marvel superhero.

Alaqua Cox will be making her debut as the character Echo on Hawkeye. Variety says sources are reporting that Disney+ is planning a future series for Echo’s character.

The civilian name of the new Marvel character is Maya Lopez. Echo is a Native American who was born deaf, but also has photographic reflexes akin to the skill used by Marvel Comics villain Taskmaster. Her ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements or fighting style makes her a formidable opponent in battle. She has a Marvel Comics history with both Clint Barton’s character and the Avengers.

Work in the series is currently in the earliest stages of development. Both Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen reportedly attached to write and produce.

“Hawkeye, which debuts on Disney+ in late 2021, stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Hawkeye is helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie.”

Swiss Family Treehouse has now reopened after short refurbishment

Swiss Family Treehouse – Explore the ultimate treehouse—and behold breathtaking views—inspired by the classic Disney film, Swiss Family Robinson. The treehouse has reopened after a short refurbishment. Located near the entrance to Adventureland and across from Sunshine Tree Terrace. It features rooms such as the family’s bedrooms, kitchen, jungle lookout, and the water system the family built.

Previously Disney had announced it would close March 12, 2021 and reopen on March 25th, 2021.

There is normally no wait for this attraction, and recently due to social distancing the queue has been used for Jungle Cruise line. Don’t make the mistake of overlooking this walkthrough attraction. On the other hand, do not let your husband lose or you may not find him for half an hour as he relives his childhood wishing he would be shipwrecked with 2 Great Danes, and a monkey!

When the Magic Kingdom opened at Walt Disney World Resort on October 1, 1971, the Treehouse was one of the original attractions. Guests walk through scenes from the original movie.

The 1960 film tells the tale of a shipwrecked family, building an island home in a treehouse, wrangling with pirates, and dealing with dangerous animals.

A version of the Treehouse can be seen at Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

This Ewok Sushi Recipe Is Out Of This Galaxy!

Yum num! We have an Ewok Sushi recipe that is out of this galaxy!

This sushi is a great vegetarian option since it features seasoned tofu pockets filled with brown rice, making it look just like the tiny warriors.

Have fun making some sushi with your family and then enjoy a nice relaxing day with a Star Wars marathon on Disney Plus!

EWOK SUSHI

INGREDIENTS:

1 package aburaage tofu pouches
1 sheet of seaweed
1 slice of salami
2 cups of brown rice
3 cups of water
1/4 cup of rice vinegar
3 tbsp of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

Rinse the brown rice until water runs clear. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain.
In a large saucepan add the rice and 3 cups of water. Bring to boil.

Cover and reduce heat, then simmer for 20 minutes until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat, let sit for 10 minutes, covered.
Transfer the rice into a medium bowl and fold in the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let cool slightly.
Prepare tofu pouches according to the package.
Pull apart each pouch and stuff with the rice mixture.

Cut the corners of both sides of the pouch and push the rice through to form the fluffy ears.

Use kitchen shears to cut away the middle part of the pouch to reveal a face area.

Cut or punch out seaweed to create eyes and a nose, and cut a small piece of salami for the mouth.

Place onto the rice balls to serve.

Enjoy!
