Guests can find this setup across from the Monsters Inc. attraction in Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. This themed photo-op is one of many designated Photo Locations now on display throughout the park.
Only guests visiting Disney California Adventure for the “A Touch of Disney” event will be able to experience this photo opportunity. The parks at the Disneyland Resort are scheduled to reopen on April 30 but we aren’t sure if the photo ops will still be set up.

Melissa McCarthy Has Finished Recording Music for the Live-Action ‘The Little Mermaid‘ Remake. Actress Melissa McCarthy has shared she is done recording her portion of ‘The Little Mermaid‘ live-action remake soundtrack. McCarthy shared with SiriusXM, “Like I’ve already recorded, you know, I did all my rehearsals in London. I’m going back in about a month to actually get to do the scenes that we rehearsed.”
Composers Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda have shared there will be new and reimagined music in the live-action remake, with both musicians sharing excitement for fans to hear the revamped soundtrack.
Filming for The Little Mermaid is well underway at Pinewood Studios in London. The Cast for Disney’s Live-Action The Little Mermaid currently includes: Halle Bailey (Ariel), Jonah Hauer-King (Prince Eric), Melissa McCarthy (Ursula), Javier Bardem (King Triton), Jacob Tremblay (Flounder), Emily Coates (Unspecified, rumored: Vanessa), Daveed Diggs (Sebastian), Awkwafina (Scuttle) and Noma Dumezweni (unspecified). Disney has yet to announce a premiere date for the film.
New Characters and Castings Announced for ‘Fantastic Beasts 3‘. Production on the next Fantastic Beasts film is well underway and the casting list is growing day by day!
The current cast for the untitled ‘Fantastic Beasts 3‘ includes: Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Ezra Miller (Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore), as well as, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim (Nagini), William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Victoria Yeates, Jessica Williams, Jeremy Azis with Jude Law returning as Albus Dumbledore, joined by Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald, Oliver Masucci as the Head of the International Confederation of Wizards and Richard Coyle in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

A new trailer for Marvel Studios’ long-awaited “Black Widow” is available now, showcasing Natasha Romanoff’s struggle to face her past and deal with unfinished business. The action-packed spy thriller will launch simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access* in most Disney+ markets on July 9, 2021.
Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.

50th Anniversary Décor has been going up on Cinderella Castle for a few weeks now. Zach Riddley, an Imagineer at Disney, shared with us new images of the drapes being installed.
Last night, our @WaltDisneyImagineering and @WaltDisneyWorld teams installed the final dramatic draperies of the 50th anniversary decor on Cinderella Castle. Over the coming weeks, the team will begin to focus on crowning the castle roofs with majestic swirls of golden ribbons as we continue this royal treatment for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” starting Oct. 1, 2021.
October 1st, 2021 can not get here fast enough. We are all ready to celebrate 50 years of Walt Disney World! Disney is billing it as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
Disney and Adidas have teamed up for yet another stylish shoe collection! This time the Disney Adidas Sneakers have gone green! We don’t just mean in color, but also sustainability! The new Stan Smith styles are now made from at least 50% high-performance recycled materials.
There are seven different character designs available! As part of the new sustainable focus, most of the characters are green! With the exception of Groot, and Wall-E, however Groot is a tree, and Wall-E was all about recycling. So I think they totally fit the theme.
The full character range includes Kermit, Tinkerbell, Hulk, Groot, Wall-E, Rex (from Toy Story), and Mike Wazowski. What is really fun, is the Rex shoe actually has “Stan” written on the bottom like “Andy”! The new Stan Smith Disney styles are available at Adidas.com now, as well as some select stores. Prices for the collection start at $60.00 and up.
Joffrey’s Coffee announced a new flagship store outside the Disney World Resort area. Joffrey’s has been running kiosks and selling coffee on Disney property since 1995. In 2013 they joined Disney’s Corporate Alliance sponsorship category as the first specialty coffee company.
The agreement meant that Joffrey’s will be supplying Walt Disneyworld Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Vacation Club. Now it looks like they are opening a flagship store in downtown Tampa. Midtown Tampa’s development space will occupy some 1,500 square feet alongside a central green space. Other companies opening in the Midtown Tampa development will be REI, Whole Foods Market, Shake Shack, and True Food Kitchen.
“Joffrey’s is thrilled to be opening our flagship location in the Midtown development — we’ve been part of the Tampa Bay community for more than 35 years and are proud to call it home,” Joffrey’s CEO Ted Abrams said in an announcement of the flagship cafe plan yesterday. “We pride ourselves on brewing the world’s best coffee and tea, and couldn’t be more excited to bring that passion to our new retail home at Midtown Tampa.”
The company says it will also plan to stay open into the evening hours, offering wine and beer. The flagship store is hopeful to open in the first quarter of 2021. Until then you can find Joffrey’s available in all 4 parks at Disney World, and along the Skyliner route, and at Disney Springs.
Walt Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared with us more information on the upcoming update to the Jungle Cruise along with a new piece of Concept Art.
You may start to notice some monkey business along the river as work begins on Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom. The good news for all of you visiting @waltdisneyworld is the attraction will remain open to guests while our teams update scenes in a phased approach over the next several months.
We can’t wait to share the enhancements with our guests as we build on the story of the Jungle Cruise at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park.
