Recently a permit has been filed for work to start on Magic Kingdom’s Jungle Cruise. We are not 100% certain if this is part of the Jungle Cruise enhancements that are supposed to start sometime this year.
The permit which was filed last week states:
Modification and enhancements to include demo and installation of structural support, hardscape, electrical
According to Disney, the enhancements include several new scenes guests will experience along the river, all interconnected. The new scenes will heighten the skippers’ legendary comedic tone, beginning with a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry. Unexpected scenarios along the way will give the jungle and animals the last laugh!
According to the permit, much of the work will be completed by Albu & Associates, Inc. and is slated to be finished by January 22, 2022. Is that when we can expect the ride to reopen? We are awaiting official word from Disney…
