We previously reported that a rumor was going around about Disney relocating jobs from California to Florida. Disney has now confirmed that 2000 jobs will be moved from California to Florida.
Throughout the next 18 months, The Walt Disney Co. will move roughly 2000 jobs from its California headquarters to a new community in Southeast Orlando. Lake Nona will house a Disney campus that will be home to Disney Imagineers and other professionals. No specific location has been chosen for the Lake Nona project yet.
Most of the jobs being relocated to Florida are related to Disney’s Parks, Experiences and Products division – which includes theme parks – but are not fully dedicated to Disneyland. The relocating jobs represent less than 5% of the Disney jobs in California.

Casey Jr. Splash N’ Soak is back, chugging down the track! After a lengthy refurbishment, the splash and water play area reopened to guests this week at the Magic Kingdom.
The attraction needed a very through re-vamp, with the entire structure getting repainted and the water features getting some TLC as well. Casey and his circus animal cargo are back and ready to help you beat the heat as those spring temperatures start to climb.
Many young kids love playing in the open space, splashing and getting sprayed by the animals. If you plan to enjoy this area on your next trip, it’s best to plan ahead and bring a towel, ziplock bag and change of clothes! You will get wet – and if you linger too long, you’ll get very wet!
Will you be making a visit to the Casey Jr Splash area soon?
