We’ll go under the sea for these Little Mermaid Cupcakes!
Have a fun day baking these delicious cupcakes inspired by Ariel! You can use your favorite cupcake flavor and then decorate them following the simple instructions of this recipe from Disney Family.
Prepare the cake batter according to your favorite recipe.
Place cupcake liners into a cupcake tray and fill each one with cupcake batter about 2/3 of the way. Bake according to recipe instructions. Set aside and cool.
To make 4 mermaid tails, place 2/3 cup of candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring frequently.
If you only have white candy melts, add food coloring to the melts to create a teal color.
Using a small spoon, fill the molds. If you overfill, it’s okay, you can always trim any excess off once set.
Place the mold in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Remove the mold from the freezer and carefully pop out the mermaid tails. If you need to cut off the excess, place on a cutting board and use a small paring knife to clean them up. Store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to add them to the cupcakes.
Place frosting in a bowl. add food coloring to make it purple. Mix until the color is smooth and evenly distributed.
Scoop the frosting into a large ziplock bag. Twist the bag to move the frosting into one corner of the bag, then cut a small corner off.
Pipe frosting onto each cupcake.
Remove the mermaid tails from the refrigerator and place one into the center of each cupcake.
Top it off with sprinkles and a mermaid inspired cupcake holder.

You can start your day with a bountiful breakfast or enjoy a Polynesian-themed dinner! ‘Ohana is located at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and usually offers a Stitch character breakfast option, unfortunately that is currently unavailable.
Dine underneath the lovely London sky in this newly re-imagined restaurant inspired by Mary Poppins Returns! Here you will be able to savor delectable cuisine served in a stylish setting that pays tribute to the movie with cues from the film’s animated sequence, flowers, butterflies and more!
Citricos is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
Located at The Campsites at Disney’s Forth Wilderness Resort, this restaurant is an amazing option to start your day away from the crazy crowds and noise. It offers an all you care to enjoy American favorites in a rustic locale.
You can even take a boat through the Seven Seas Lagoon on your way to the restaurant and enjoy the beautiful views!
You grotto check out this tropical tiki bar that captures the romance of the South Seas through unique food and drinks that is located at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

SeaWorld Orlando Announces More Frightening Details for Howl-O-Scream, including more haunted houses, roaming haunts, and a new show, and a haunted bar. Howl-O-Scream joins the park’s already impressive fall line-up of events including the return of family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular, included with park admission, which boasts daytime trick or treating for kids of all ages. Spooky fun for the entire family with Spooktacular during the day and terrifying thrills by night with the launch of Howl-O-Scream make SeaWorld Orlando the place to be this Halloween season.
Howl-O-Scream takes place select nights Friday, September 10 through Sunday, October 31 from 7 p.m. to as late as 2 a.m.

Jungle Cruise getting quite the attention these days! It has both a new movie coming out and new modifications added to the iconic attraction. The latest change is the new attraction sign hanging above the entrance of the queue. You can see the new Jungle Cruise sign in our photos below.
Guests have been seeing several changes to the Jungle Cruise in recent weeks. But you’ll want to pay attention to the the details in the queue the next time you wait in line.
For instance, the Jungle Cruise is now displaying new decor in the Skipper’s Office as you walk through the line of the attraction.
The Jungle Cruise Skipper’s Office is full of new details. Take a moment to gaze around and you’ll see some entertaining items laying around.
You’ll also notice the following new inscription in the crossbeams as you get closer to the deck:

On a side note, you’ll want to take a closer look at the new scenes of the attraction as well. There’s plenty of details to observe at Trader Sam’s Gift Shop! We also love the new scenery added near the hippos with the sunken ship.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Popcorn Booth (Kat Saka’s Kettle) reopens July 25th. Going through the Walt DIsney World App we noticed that Kat Saka’s Kettle finally has hours listed again. Prior to July 25th, the app shows No times available. When you select July 25th, the hours update and now show 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Run by grain merchant Kat Saka, who we are happy to see back at work. Kat is a human female farmer from the Outer Rim planet Batuu. She is known for collecting spices throughout the galaxy used in the Outpost Mix, colorful, grain-based snack food.
Venture into the market to find this colorful snack shop, where grains from all over the galaxy are on display. Order a generous, piping-hot helping of this popular and flavorful local specialty popcorn and enjoy it as you explore Black Spire Outpost. Refreshing beverages are also sold here.
Scaffolding installed on Beauty & the Beast Castle for 50th Anniversary. Magic Kingdom is undergoing a major refurbishment prior to the 50th anniversary. Everywhere you look has either a fresh coat of paint or is undergoing some sort of enhancement. With under 3 months to go before the 50th anniversary of Walt DIsney World Resort, the facade of Beasts Castle is now behind scaffolding.
Crossing the bridge to the restaurant, you can see the work being done. The scaffolding covers the left side of the entranceway and is quite noticeable. Crews are clearing the area of debris and dirt build-up over the years. This is just another step towards Disney making the whole park magical. At one point we could see workers on the turret of Beasts Castle and it looked like Giants were invading!
We recently reported on all the other work in Fantasyland, including Casey Jr Splash area, Storybook Circus, and the other improvement work which you can read about here on Chip and Co. We cannot wait to see the parks on October 1st, 2021 when it opens on the first day of the 50th anniversary. Disney is doing an amazing job making sure the park looks magical.
A new a-frame sign now sits out front of the entrance to Be Our Guest restaurant that says “Heigh-Ho Heigh-Ho It’s off to work we go! Thanks for your patients as we spruce things up”
Disney World theme park hours have been released through October 9, 2021. Hours were previously only available through October 2. Take a look at the scheduled hours for October 2-9, 2021.
Magic Kingdom is scheduled to operate from 9 am to 9 pm daily. On October 5th and 8th, however, the park will close at 8:30 pm for Disney After Hours Boo Bash.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is scheduled to operate from 9 am to 9 pm except on October 6 when the park will close at 8 pm.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open from 8 am to 7 pm.

Marvel Fans Are Loving the Name Change from the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians. Today the MLB announced the Cleveland Indians would be changing their team name to the Cleveland Guardians and Marvel fans immediately took to the internet to share their excitement and hope for themed events or partnerships with Marvel Studios. Though many of the posts leaned towards crossovers with The Guardians of the Galaxy, there were several fans who preferred a crossover with The Red Guardian (David Harbour) from the new Marvel movie, Black Widow.
The new logos and designs for Cleveland were shared by the MLB’s official twitter account along with the caption, “Introducing the Cleveland Guardians! The name will go into effect after the 2021 season.“

The artwork does do a good job of preserving the club’s existing aesthetic. And though a lot of people seem to hate “Guardians,” I don’t mind it; kind of reminds me of the “New York Knights” from The Natural. Of course, there may be a lot of Marvel-related gags coming.
Hilary Duff and Her Family Spent a Fun Day at Disneyland Park. Hilary Duff, her husband Matthew Koma, and their eldest children, Luca and Banks, took a trip to Disneyland to enjoy a family day together in the park! The famous family had a wonderful time and Hilary shared her excitement to ride Space Mountain with her loved ones in a special video taken by Disney Parks Blog.
Hilary Duff is currently scheduled to star and produce a spin-off series, How I Met Your Father, coming to Hulu.
Created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us), the 10-episode offshoot takes place in the near future, as Sophie (played by Younger‘s Hilary Duff) tells her son — you guessed it! — the story of how she met his father. The retelling “catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
Currently, 20th Television has ordered 10-episodes for the series, and pending the success of the show, there is a good chance several new seasons will be picked up at a later date. Hulu has yet to share when the series will premiere on the streaming service, so be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Hulu and Disneyland!
Why Marvel Studios Chose for ‘Loki’ to Get a Second Season Over ‘WandaVision’ and ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’. The new Marvel shows have been a raging success for both Marvel Studios and Disney+ and many fans are curious as to why Marvel Studios approved the second season of Loki so quickly but waited to share news on the future of the other Marvel series, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The answer is rather simple, Loki and Sylvie’s journey is far from over and the stories featured in WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have reached their respective conclusions. Wanda Maximoff has transformed into the Scarlet Witch and Sam Wilson has taken on the mantle of Captain America, but the characters from Loki have more work to do and we need a more intimate look into those actions that a movie can not sum up seamlessly. Simply put, we need more time with them (pun unintended, I promise).
Currently, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is set to return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange). Reportedly several characters featured in Loki will also be making an appearance in the film, but this has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios representatives. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will return in the upcoming, untitled Captain America 4 film for the studio. It is currently unknown what other characters will be making an appearance in the sequel.
Though Marvel Studios has yet to share a timeframe for the second season of Loki, the timing of the show’s initial release would put the new season’s Disney+ premiere just before the theatrical release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. This makes sense knowing Loki will be making an appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel which will act as a continuation of the storylines from WandaVision, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Loki, and Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror has already been announced as the villain in Quantumania. Until a formal release date is announced, this is strictly a theory for the moment.
