Marvel Studios and Make-A-Wish Partner to Make Marvel Fan’s Dream Come True. Seth Wise is a HUGE Marvel fan, who lives with a blood disorder, and dreams of becoming a sound engineer for film and television. Back in February 2020, Make-a-Wish and Disney worked together to bring Seth and his family from their hometown in Roswell, Georgia, to visit The Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California and make his dreams come true.
Seth had an incredible time touring the film studio and meeting with the various sound teams at Marvel Studios to learn more about the industry and how each group is vital to the production of the film. He even got to sit in on a session for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and helped with some sound mixing for a scene in the new movie.
Seth learned so much and how impactful the day was with Marvel, sharing: “I learned how much work goes into bringing movies to life. I gained a lot of respect for the industry.” He continued to share that despite the challenges of his blood disorder sound engineering was an escape and passion he could control when he felt out of control. “Sound became something that I could control, and my wish gave me a chance to see the industry up close and personal.“
The studio also surprised Seth, his family and friends with listing him in the sound credits of Black Widow.

Daisy Duck is joining the action for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!
She will be one of the 50 characters as part of the “Disney Fab 50,” a new collection of golden sculptures debuting Oct. 1, 2021, across all four Walt Disney World theme parks as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
You can look for the Daisy Duck statue at Magic Kingdom later this year.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale will be part of a new collection of special golden character sculptures debuting Oct. 1st across the four Walt Disney World theme parks.
There will be 50 characters featured overall, and guests will be able to interact with the “Disney Fab 50” in surprising ways as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration.
You can also virtually “collect” each golden Disney character sculpture on Instagram. To add a sculpture to Instagram Collections, just tap and hold the bookmark icon. Then, on the “Save to” screen, tap the collection where you want to save the image or create a new collection. Happy hunting!

Emilia Clarke Confirms Her Casting in the New Marvel Series ‘Secret Invasion‘ Coming to Disney+. Marvel Fans are eager to hear any news regarding several big projects in the works for Disney+, and now we have a casting confirmation from Emilia Clarke herself!
On a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Emilia and Jimmy had fun discussing her new comic (M.O.M., Mother of Madness), how she went skydiving with her brother and mum for her 34th birthday and confirmed she has been cast in Marvel Studios’ new series, Secret Invasion. during their discussion she established all she could confirm was her involvement with the series, but quickly shut down further discussion by telling Jimmy: “The first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team and I am convinced that there is a man outside my house. There’s been a car parked there for a long time, and I swear to God, he’s undercover.”
Some of us go to Walt Disney World mainly for snacks. It doesn’t matter if you love Dole Whips, Mickey Pretzels, Turkey Legs, or cupcakes, the Magic Kingdom has everything you need! Especially now that Prince Eric’s Village Market is reopening! Grab some New Fantasyland favorites on July 26th.
If you’ve never stopped at Prince Eric’s, you may not know what kind of snacks you’ll be able to get there. For one, they have turkey legs. You know, the ones that are as big as your head. They also have jumbo pretzels with or without cheese. These aren’t Mickey pretzels, they’re traditionally shaped and much bigger. So if you’re looking for something to share, or if you’re just a really big fan of pretzels, this is the treat for you! For something smaller, try a pickle or some grapes.
Prince Eric’s Village Market also has some pretty spectacular drinks. You could try the Frozen Blue Raspberry Slushy or the Frozen Apple Slushy. But the coolest drink by far is the Mermaid Slushy. It has Frozen Blue Raspberry and Frozen Green Apple layered together, with whipped cream and a mermaid tail coming out of the top! It’s both beautiful and tasty!

Last night was the World Premiere of Disney’s Jungle Cruise in Disneyland.
Stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall and Veronica Falcón were joined by director Jaume Collet-Serra and producers John Davis, John Fox, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn for a walk down the red carpet where they greeted enthusiastic fans at the world premiere of Disney’s “Jungle Cruise.”
Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.

Work to begin on Grand Floridian Disney Vacation Club Rooms. Looks like permits are filed and work is set to start on the Big Pine Key building. Back in May, we got word that DVC will be transforming the hotel rooms into 200 DVC Studio rooms. Big Pine is located across the beach from the existing DVC rooms.
Located on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and on the monorail line to Magic Kingdom Park, the proposed project will transform Big Pine Key (building nine) at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa into approximately 200 Resort Studios, accommodating up to five Guests.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa opened in October 2013 with just 100 villas. it is one of the smallest DVC locations in the program. Disney has yet to reveal a sales start date or price point for the new villas. The new rooms will join the existing condo association at the Grand Floridian, including the January 2064 ownership end date.
The Notice of Commencement filed in Orange County, FL on July 21 by Disney Vacation Club Management Corp indicates “general construction” is planned at the Grand Floridian.

Cirque du Soleil is hiring in Orlando. Is Drawn to Life debuting soon? It appears we are one step closer to the Drawn to Life opening at DIsney Springs. The much-hyped and anticipated show is now hiring a Sales Coordinator which can be viewed online. Furthermore, we had heard from Chief Executive Daniel Lamarre back in April about a possible opening this fall.
Daniel Lamarre went onto say Cirque is also working on setting a new opening date for “Drawn to Life,” its collaboration with Disney that was set to open in Orlando, Fla., last year. “It’s a tribute to Disney animation, and we felt honored to have the opportunity to do a show with the IP [intellectual property] of Disney,” Lamarre said. “We should be able to open sometime in the fall.”

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort returns on September 3, 2021 and runs through October 31, 2021. During this frightfully fun time of year guests can see special characters throughout the parks. Two of those characters are none other than Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas!
The Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, and his spooky girlfriend Sally are some of Disney guests’ favorite characters to meet at the Disneyland Resort. Per the Disneyland website, both characters will be greeting guests this Halloween season.

Disney Cruise Line will be resuming sailing next month! The Disney Dream will be sailing Bahamian cruises from Florida starting August 9. The cruise line also recently updated its Flexible Refund Policy.
The Flexible Refund Policy is below with the updated portions in bold:
“Within 14 days of the sailing, booked Guests with COVID-19-related health concerns (symptoms or exposure) can receive a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or apply their cruise fare toward a future sail date.
Important Details
Within 14 days prior to embarkation, Guests who experience one or more of the qualifying scenarios may change their sail date, under the following terms:
Guests who wish to change their sail date must move the sail date to a future sailing that commences prior to September 30, 2022.
Onboard Offer Blockout Dates apply
Future cruise credits cannot be applied to the Disney Wish maiden voyage, setting sail on June 9, 2022.
Guests cannot change their reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of this policy.
Qualifying scenarios include Guests who:
Have symptoms of COVID-19
Have a temperature of 100.4°F or greater
Have had known exposure to a person with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days
Have tested positive for COVID-19
Guests who do not wish to select a new sail date will be provided a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees in their original form of payment.
Guests who experience one or more of the qualifying scenarios on the day of Embarkation will be denied boarding. Guests who are denied boarding will receive a Denied Boarding Voucher for the full amount of their sailing or a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees.
Once on board, Guests who are subject to mandatory quarantine or who test positive for COVID-19 will receive a pro-rated voucher for a future cruise or a pro-rated refund.
Additionally, Disney Dream Guests sailing through March 28, 2022, may modify their sail date or cancel their sailing and receive a full refund back to the original form of payment. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply for any cancellation requests received on or after August 7, 2021.
