Marvel Fans Are Loving the Name Change from the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians. Today the MLB announced the Cleveland Indians would be changing their team name to the Cleveland Guardians and Marvel fans immediately took to the internet to share their excitement and hope for themed events or partnerships with Marvel Studios. Though many of the posts leaned towards crossovers with The Guardians of the Galaxy, there were several fans who preferred a crossover with The Red Guardian (David Harbour) from the new Marvel movie, Black Widow.

The new logos and designs for Cleveland were shared by the MLB’s official twitter account along with the caption, “Introducing the Cleveland Guardians! The name will go into effect after the 2021 season.“
