Marvel Studios and Make-A-Wish Partner to Make Marvel Fan's Dream Come True

Marvel Studios and Make-A-Wish Partner to Make Marvel Fan’s Dream Come True. Seth Wise is a HUGE Marvel fan, who lives with a blood disorder, and dreams of becoming a sound engineer for film and television. Back in February 2020, Make-a-Wish and Disney worked together to bring Seth and his family from their hometown in Roswell, Georgia, to visit The Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California and make his dreams come true.

Seth had an incredible time touring the film studio and meeting with the various sound teams at Marvel Studios to learn more about the industry and how each group is vital to the production of the film. He even got to sit in on a session for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and helped with some sound mixing for a scene in the new movie.

Seth learned so much and how impactful the day was with Marvel, sharing: “I learned how much work goes into bringing movies to life. I gained a lot of respect for the industry.” He continued to share that despite the challenges of his blood disorder sound engineering was an escape and passion he could control when he felt out of control. “Sound became something that I could control, and my wish gave me a chance to see the industry up close and personal.

The studio also surprised Seth, his family and friends with listing him in the sound credits of Black Widow.

“Since 1980, Disney and Make-A-Wish have granted wishes for more than 145,000 children with critical illnesses worldwide. Historically, half of all wishes granted in the U.S. by Make-A-Wish are for Disney wishes and include all parts of the Company, including theme parks and resort vacation, cruises, Disney store shopping sprees, studio visits, talent meet-and-greets, and sports-themed experiences.
