The report, which tracks incidents requiring 24 hours or more of hospitalization, shows just two cases across all four Disney parks between January and March 2026.
The first incident occurred at Magic Kingdom, where a 65-year-old woman suffered a pelvic injury while exiting Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. The second took place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where a 40-year-old woman with a pre-existing condition experienced a shoulder injury on Kali River Rapids.
As always with these reports, it is important to note that the incidents are not necessarily caused by the attractions themselves. The data simply records where the incident occurred, along with basic details like age, gender, and symptoms.
Considering the millions of guests who visit Walt Disney World each quarter, two reported incidents is a strong reminder of just how rare serious issues are across the resort.

13 Sloths Rescued in Florida Now Receiving Care at Central Florida Zoo Following Investigation
A group of slow-moving survivors is getting a second chance in Central Florida. The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has stepped in to care for 13 two-toed sloths tied to the ongoing investigation surrounding the proposed “Sloth World” attraction, where troubling reports revealed dozens of animals had died under preventable conditions.
According to officials, the sloths have been placed in a behind-the-scenes quarantine area for at least 30 days. During this time, veterinary teams are closely monitoring their health, providing specialized diets, and addressing any pre-existing medical issues. It is a critical period, as some of these animals may require long-term human assistance due to their condition.
The rescued group includes both Hoffmann’s and Linnaeus’s two-toed sloths, all of which have been in human care since arriving in the United States. The zoo is working alongside the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan to determine what comes next. Some of the sloths may eventually be relocated to other accredited facilities, while others could remain in Sanford as permanent residents.
This rescue effort follows a report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which documented the deaths of 31 sloths connected to the same project. Investigators cited preventable conditions at a holding facility, sparking widespread concern and prompting immediate action.
Caring for the rescued sloths comes at a cost. The zoo has noted unexpected expenses related to food, medical treatment, lab testing, quarantine housing, and staffing. They are currently asking for public donations to help support the ongoing care of these animals.

Though the boardwalk is still open for foot traffic, it’s now a narrow path flanked by construction scrim. While this walkway is expected to be refurbished rather than removed, the same can’t be said for the surrounding structures.
Recent permits indicate a permanent goodbye for two Frontierland staples: the Westward Ho kiosk and Big Al’s. The latter is particularly significant, as it represents one of the final remaining original ticket booths in the Magic Kingdom.
