The legendary Randy Newman is back at the piano for his fifth Toy Story feature, ensuring the franchise’s iconic sound remains intact when the film hits theaters on June 19. Newman, the mastermind behind the timeless anthem “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” will once again provide the musical heart for Woody and the gang.
This time around, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the crew face their most modern challenge yet: competing with the electronics and gadgets that dominate kids’ attention today. The adventure also introduces fresh voices to the toy box, with Greta Lee joining as Lilypad and Conan O’Brien stepping in as Smarty Pants.
