New Scentsy Signage Installed for Dumbo in the Magic Kingdom

Signage has been added noting Scentsy as the corporate sponsor for Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the magical ride in the Storybook Circus area of Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, has been helping families create magical memories for decades. Dumbo is getting some additional assistance getting off the ground these days, and no we are not talking about a magical feather. Scentsy has been unveiled as the new corporate sponsor for the attraction!

Scentsy announced the sponsorship on Instagram, noting “We’re proud to be the presenting sponsor of Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction in Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom Park! Check out the Scentsy brand proudly displayed on the attraction’s marquee, and join us in celebrating this next step in our sensational relationship with Walt Disney World Resort.”

The brand name has been added to the ride signage announcing the sponsorship. The Scentsy plaque blends well with the sign, and was done in such a way you would think it was always there!

About Dumbo the Flying Elephant

“Dumbo the Flying Elephant” delighting visitors to Disney’s Magic Kingdom park since the park’s opening on October 1, 1971. This ride, located in the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland, features sixteen elephant-shaped vehicles attached to a rotating center. Each elephant can be controlled by the riders, who can make Dumbo fly higher or lower using a joystick inside the vehicle.

The ride, which is about 90 seconds long, features both a Standby Line and a Lightning Lane entrance. Guests entering the standby queue receive a pager and are able to spend time in an air-conditioned circus tent filled with fun activities for kids. The attraction has no minimum height requirement and is often one of the very first rides kids enjoy while vacationing at Walt Disney World.

Josh D’Amaro Talks Indiana Jones Retheming of Dinosaur in the Animal Kingdom

A big rumor of Disney retheming Dinosaur to an Indiana Jones attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been circulating and Josh D’Amaro has addressed the possibility. He recently spoke to EW and suggested that an Indiana Jones attraction could fit with Animal Kingdom’s narrative ‘about exploration and adventure.’

Following initial hints at a potential Indiana Jones-inspired replacement for the cherished Dinosaur ride at Disney World, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro reaffirms the Harrison Ford-led blockbuster series as the ideal source for the wildlife park’s upcoming expansion. This declaration came during an exclusive interview with EW at a press preview for Hong Kong Disneyland’s recently unveiled World of Frozen-themed land.

D’Amaro playfully teased, “I think I actually played some music, didn’t I?” He was alluding to his Destination D23 presentation in September, where he unveiled concept artwork featuring an Indiana Jones-inspired temple replacing the current Dinosaur thrill ride, accompanied by the iconic Indiana Jones score composed by John Williams.

He stressed that the concept art was not a final rendering but that it highlights “where our heads are” as his team continues “dreaming” plans for Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s next big move. “We’ve got so many stories to tell, we have so many things we want to make even better in the theme parks. My plan is to continue to share that with the guests. I know people are like, ‘My gosh, I can’t believe he’s saying this. Is he serious, is he not?’ The answer is, we are absolutely serious,” he said.

“We know what this business is capable of, we know what our fans expect of us, and we’re going all in. You’re going to see more and more of that. As we make our way through some of these ideas, some of them will become real, and we’ll say that’s specifically what we’re going to do, but I want our guests to be on the journey with us.”

Dinosaur opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 1998 and uses a very similar ride system as the Indiana Jones attraction in Disneyland. It seems like it would be easier to switch Dinosaur over to Indiana Jones rather than replace it with a completely new attraction.

New Disney Holiday Pins Debut At The Walt Disney World Resorts!

Are you a pin collector? Then you will love these Disney Holiday Pins available now at the different Walt Disney World Resorts! Check out the ones we found during our recent visit to the hotels:

GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT

The first pin features the iconic gingerbread house at the resort with Mickey and Minnie gingerbread cookies dressed in their holiday Grand Floridian attire plus the resort logo.

The second pin is a Belle stocking with Cogsworth picking out of it, this pin moves so Cogsworth can hide in the stocking or pop out to wish you a happy holiday season!

CONTEMPORARY RESORT

At the Contemporary Resort, we found one featuring the resort made out of gingerbread with Edna Mode and Jack Jack plus the monorail hanging at the bottom with the resort logo.

A stocking pin with Edna Mode is also available at this resort and it looks incredible!

ALL-STAR Movies RESORT

Over at All-Star Movies Resort, you can collect the stocking pin inspired by the 101 Dalmatians! The stocking features a star pattern with a film strip on the top and a resort logo.

BOARDWALK RESORT

The Boardwalk Resort pin features the famous gingerbread carousel with a Mickey Mouse gingerbread cookie and resort logo.

Gingerbread BoardWalk Deli and Sweet Treats Arrive at Disney’s BoardWalk with Special Surprise

The holiday Gingerbread display has arrived at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is enchanting guests this holiday season with a delightful twist on its traditional gingerbread display. The newly unveiled BoardWalk Deli gingerbread creation, a delightful addition to the resort’s lobby, is sporting an updated look this year!

This year’s BoardWalk Deli gingerbread marvel is now sports a charming, rounded roof and two gabled roofs. The windows of the display feature the silhouettes of Mickey’s friends, brought to life with tiny lights under awnings, creating a warm, festive glow. The orange bird clock is a nice touch, and is a real working clock!

The display was meticulously constructed with 184 pounds of both whole and light rye flour, 168 eggs, 22 gallons of honey, and 30 pounds of fondant, taking a total of 210 hours to create.

Visitors can indulge in the holiday spirit and purchase specialty sweet treats from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the BoardWalk lobby. Among these delights is the BoardWalk gingerbread house pin, available for $19.99 at the treats kiosk.

And for those looking to add a little warmth to their visit, the kiosk also offers hot chocolate for $6.49. Guests have the option to elevate their drink with a selection of cordials or spirits, including Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, Frangelico, DISARONNO Originale, Kahlúa, and Grand Marnier, ranging from $13.50 to $14.50.

Disney World Extends Theme Park Hours in Early December

Guests visiting Walt Disney World in December will enjoy extended park hours

December is truly a magical time to visit the Walt Disney World resort. All four theme parks, the Disney resort hotels, and Disney Springs are decked out for the holidays. The sun sets a bit earlier than in the Summer thanks to the swap back to Eastern Standard Time, providing more time after dark in the parks to enjoy the decorations in all of their lit-up glory. Guests visiting next month will have even more time to take in all of the holiday splendor, as Disney has extended park hours!

Frozen Holiday Surprise Arrives in Magic Kingdom Park

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom can start their park day as early as 8 a.m. on December 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels will enjoy an even earlier start, with early entry beginning at 7:30 a.m. on these days. While Magic Kingdom will close at 6 p.m. on December 3, 7, 5, and 8 for the enchanting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it will extend its hours until 11 p.m. on December 4, 6, and 9.

For those who love the wild side of Disney, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is joining in by opening an hour earlier at 8 a.m. from December 3 to 9. Early birds staying at Disney resorts can enter at 7:30 a.m. However, the park will continue to close at its regular time of 7 p.m.

Looking to revel in the glitz and glam of the golden age of Hollywood? Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also adjusting its schedule, opening at 8:30 a.m. from December 3 through December 9, with early entry for resort guests at 8 a.m. The park will maintain its 9 p.m. closing time throughout this period.

Disney Genie+ Prices Soar to New Heights for Thanksgiving Week at Walt Disney World

As Thanksgiving week kicks off, Disney Genie+ pricing at Walt Disney World has surged to unprecedented levels. The Multi-Park and Magic Kingdom Genie+ option now stands at $35, a significant jump from yesterday’s $27. Across all parks, prices have increased by $8 or $9 compared to the previous day. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now priced at $25, Disney’s Hollywood Studios at $32, and EPCOT at $28.

Today’s pricing marks the highest point since the launch of Genie+ at Walt Disney World. The question remains whether prices will continue to rise during the anticipated holiday peak weeks, especially in the aftermath of Christmas Day.

In addition, Individual Lightning Lane Purchases have also seen a slight uptick today. Avatar Flight of Passage is now priced at $16, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at $17, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at $12, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance at $25, and TRON Lightcycle Run at $20.

Since June 27, 2023, Disney expanded Genie+ to offer guests the choice of selecting it as a single-park or multi-park option, with prices varying by park and date. The multi-park option, the most expensive, functions similarly to the original Disney Genie+ option, allowing guests to use Genie+ at any park visited on that day.

Disney Genie+ is a purchasing option within the Disney Genie service that grants access to the former FastPass line at select attractions, now referred to as Lightning Lane. Some headline attractions are not included in Genie+, and accessing Lightning Lane at those attractions requires an Individual Attraction purchase, with prices varying.
