The Little Mermaid Ariel to make a Splash Debut on June 27th

Get ready for a splash-tastic new show coming your way! Disney Junior has announced the premiere date for their highly anticipated new series, Disney Junior’s Ariel. Set to debut on Thursday, June 27th, the show will take preschoolers on exciting underwater adventures with their favorite mermaid princess.

Disney Junior’s Ariel will make a big splash across multiple platforms. The series will premiere on Disney Junior on Thursday, June 27th at 9:00 AM EDT/PDT. Later that day, it will also air on Disney Channel. For those eager to see even more, the first eight episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ starting Friday, June 28th.

To build anticipation for the series premiere, Disney Junior will be releasing a new series of shorts titled Disney Junior’s Ariel: Mermaid Tales. These short episodes, each two minutes long, will begin airing on Wednesday, June 5th on Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior. First Look at the NEW Fantasy Springs Popcorn Buckets Coming to Tokyo Disneyland

Fantasy Springs is opening at Tokyo Disneyland next month! Guests will be excited to know new popcorn buckets will be arriving as well!

The Peter Pan popcorn bucket is shaped like Big Ben in England. Peter Pan, Wendy, John, and Michael can be seen on the clock while Captain Hook and Mr. Smee can be seen on the Jolly Roger in Neverland. The bucket also lights up.

Another new popcorn bucket is a Frozen themed one. It has the look of stained glass with Elsa’s silhouette. Olaf can be seen hugging the bucket strap. It also lights up.

And finally, there is the Tangled themed popcorn bucket! It’s in the shape of a floating lantern with a design of Rapunzel, lanterns, and flowers. The strap is purple and a small Pascal is attached. Light up popcorn buckets seem to be very popular as this one lights up too!

Tragedy at Disney Springs: 1 Puppy Dies After Owner Leaves 4 in Hot Car

Sad news out of Disney Springs last weekend. On Saturday, May 4, four Bernedoodle puppies were left in a hot car at Disney Springs. After the puppies were rescued, one succumbed to its injuries.

The owner had recently purchased the puppies and stopped by Disney Springs to have dinner on their way home. They assumed “the covered parking garage and cracking a window would be okay for the dogs.” After an hour and a half a security guard in the parking garage noticed the puppies were in distress and contacted authorities.

One of the puppies was unresponsive despite intervention by paramedics and a local veterinary clinic, and was later euthanized due to its injuries. The other three puppies were adopted by staff at the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Fire Department.

“Every summer we deal with cases like this, where someone runs into a store, the mall, or similar venue and opts to leave their pet in the car, assuming it’ll be a short trip,” Orange County Animal Services Division Manager Diane Summers said in a statement. “It’s heartbreaking and infuriating for our staff and animal-loving community when pet owners make this mistake as preventable tragedy can and does occur.”

This case has been turned over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

TRON Lightcycle Run Exterior Canopies Receive a Good Cleaning

After months of speculation and guest chatter, Disney World has begun the cleaning process for the TRON Lightcycle Run canopies. Since its grand opening in April 2023, the exterior of the high-speed coaster has sported a noticeable amount of buildup, sparking discussion among fans. Now, crews are on the scene to restore the canopy’s sleek, futuristic sheen.

While the exact nature of the buildup remains undetermined, some speculated it could be dirt or even mold, particularly given its concentration in shaded areas – a prime breeding ground for moisture-loving mold according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Disney World crews have successfully addressed the issue, leaving the exterior gleaming once again. The cleaning method remains undisclosed, but some speculate a high-powered wash, possibly even a power wash, might have been employed to achieve this overnight transformation.

Small Bytes Now Open at Pixar Place Hotel – First Look at the New Menu

The Small Bytes quick-service pool bar is now open at Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort! The rooftop pool bar serves salads, wraps, assorted cheese plates and more with signature beverages.

The bar’s exterior wall features 22 pixel-art style portraits of Pixar characters designed specifically for the hotel.

The menu features Chips & Bits, Lyte Bytes, Mega Bytes, Little Nibblers, and the Beverage Bar.

We stopped by and tried a few of the items. The drink pictured above is a Signature Mini Float. You can get one for $10.

From the Lyte Bytes menu we tried the Adult Snackable for $25.

And from the Chips & Bits menu we got the Mega Soft Pretzel for $12. It comes with queso dip and yellow mustard.

The City of Anaheim recently approved the DisneylandForward Project and Ken Potrock, Disneyland president, is sharing what’s next for the Disneyland Resort!

Here’s what he had to say:

“Exciting news out of Anaheim tonight — I’m thrilled to share that the city council has given final approval for DisneylandForward, and the next era of Disneyland Resort is about to begin!

We’ve worked closely with city staff, neighbors, and our local community over the past three years to make sure DisneylandForward is a win for everyone — I’m grateful the city council agrees and voted to work with us on this legacy project that will set up Disneyland Resort and the City of Anaheim for an incredibly bright future.

With updated land use approvals through DisneylandForward, we can build new entertainment experiences for our fans, create thousands of new jobs, and bring new revenue streams to Anaheim.”

Cal State Fullerton’s economic impact study projects increased revenues of about $15 million annually for Anaheim from each $1 billion we invest. This will help fund necessary community services, including additional fire and police, parks, and libraries.

We’ve also committed to a unique benefits package for Anaheim and its residents, including $30 million for affordable housing, $8 million for parks, $85 million in traffic improvements and pedestrian safety, and continued investment in workforce development programs.

We’re honored to partner with Anaheim on this historic project and excited to move into this next chapter together.”
