North West will make her Hollywood Bowl debut alongside Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway star Heather Headley and Grammy Award winner, Tony nominee, and the iconic voice of The Lion King, Lebo M. The trio joins previously announced cast members for the “Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event” scheduled for taping on May 24th and 25th at the Hollywood Bowl.
The concert will feature beloved stars from the Lion King franchise, including Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Jennifer Hudson. Emmy-winning Disney Branded Television and Fulwell 73 Productions will capture the magic for a Disney+ special, “The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl,” marking the second music concert installment in their franchise series.
This special event celebrates the 30-year legacy of The Lion King, encompassing the original 1994 animated film, the Tony Award-winning 1998 Broadway musical, and the 2019 live-action remake.
Fans will be transported to the Pride Lands as a full orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s Oscar-winning score conducted by Sarah Hicks. Original cast members will bring beloved songs by Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice to life, including “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” “Circle Of Life,” “Be Prepared,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Performers include Oscar winners Jeremy Irons (Scar) and Nathan Lane (Timon) from the 1994 film, alongside Billy Eichner (Timon, 2019), Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa), and Jason Weaver (Young Simba).
Special guests include Broadway stars Bradley Gibson (Simba) and Heather Headley (Nala), along with EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson. The concert will also feature select numbers from the Broadway production, showcasing its award-winning costumes, set design, and innovative puppetry for the first time at the Hollywood Bowl.
Since its debut in 1994, The Lion King has captivated audiences worldwide. The story continues to entertain through record-breaking stage musicals, animated series and sequels, theme park shows, and the upcoming December 2024 theatrical release of “Mufasa: The Lion King,” directed by Barry Jenkins. We found these adorable Disney World Mugs at Magic Kingdom for $16.99 each! They are a great souvenir option to bring back home for your parents or grandparents, they will love it for sure.
The mugs also come in a spanish version! The mug for mamá comes in light pink with Minnie Mouse holding a flag that says “MAMÁ” and Cinderella castle on the back. The one for dad, comes in gray with Mickey Mouse holding a blue flag that says “PAPÁ” and same Cinderella castle artwork on the back.
Another spanish version but this time for your abuelos! The Mickey Mouse one says “ABUELO” and features Cinderella castle on the back, the Minnie Mouse is the same design but in red and with “ABUELA” on the flag.

How cool are these Disney Woven Shirts we found at Magic Kingdom? The designs are inspired in classic Disney movies like 101 Dalmatians, Dumbo and even The Muppets!
The 101 Dalmatians shirt features all the adorable puppies ready to watch tv! The whole scene features blue, purple and white tones, making it very easy to match with other clothing items and create a magical look.
Then we have Dumbo! This shirt is very whimsy and nostalgic, featuring different scenes from the movie like Dumbo in his circus outfit on top of a ball or flying with Timothy.
The last one is designed to feature The Muppets! We can see Kermit, Miss Peggy, Fozzie, Gonzo and many more. This is a very fun one to add to your wardrobe!

New Retro Walt Disney World Collection Arrived To Magic Kingdom!
We spotted a new Retro Walt Disney World Collection at Magic Kingdom with apparel and kitchenware options! They all feature the original “D” logo with a Mickey Mouse icon inside and pastel colors, take a look:
For apparel we found two shirts, one for children and one for adults. The kids tee is gray with teal details and Walt Disney World logo in the middle, the adults one is white and features a big “D” logo with Mickey Mouse inside and “Walt Disney World” at the bottom.
Moving on to kitchenware, we spotted a water bottle with an all over pattern of the Mickey Mouse “D” logo in yellow, pink, purple and blue colors and a bamboo lid. The mug features the same all over pattern plus a big Mickey Mouse “D” logo in white on one side, the handle is black and the inside is teal with “Walt Disney World” around the trim.
Finally, for those who love to collect magnets, this one is a must have! Is shaped like the retro Disney World logo with a Mickey Mouse icon inside in white with purple, teal, pink and yellow details, very cute and original.

Disneyland Union Election for Disney Character and Parade Performers Coming Next Week
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has scheduled a union election for character performers and parade cast members at Disneyland Resort. Voting will take place May 15-18th on-site at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure,and Disney-owned hotels in Anaheim.
On April 17th, a majority of the 1,700 Disneyland Resort performers who bring beloved characters to life filed for a union election. These Cast Members, who work in parades, meet-and-greets, and character dining experiences, believe that forming a union with Actors’ Equity Association will benefit both their lives and the guest experience.
This move brings them closer to joining the majority of the Disneyland workforce, who are already unionized.Interestingly, character performers in Walt Disney World, Florida, have been unionized for years. The upcoming election will determine if these California cast members follow suit.
Disneyland Character Performers to Vote on Union Representation (May 15-18)
Voting Schedule:
Eligible Cast Members from Characters and Parades departments will vote at one of three designated locationson-site at Disneyland.
Voting will take place on Wednesday, May 15th, Thursday, May 16th, and Saturday, May 18th.
Specific voting location is assigned based on each Cast Member’s first scheduled shift for the week.
Results and Media:
Final election results are expected by the evening of Saturday, May 18th.
Media will not be allowed at voting locations.
Union activists will be available for interviews during the voting period.
Information on how election results will be announced will be provided later.
On April 17, when the petition for a union election was filed with the NLRB, Actors’ Equity Association President Kate Shindle said, “Our goal is to make ‘the happiest place on Earth’ a little happier. Equity has a very good relationship with Disney. We negotiate with them at Walt Disney World in Orlando, and with Disney Theatricals on Broadway and national tours. We look forward to meeting with their representatives across the bargaining table, and together, making the Disneyland Resort a fairer and safer place to work.”
A new permit filed by Walt Disney Imagineering has sparked excitement among Disney fans. The permit, titled “Install Set Elements,” suggests some exciting additions or updates might be coming to the beloved Peter Pan’s Flight attraction at Magic Kingdom.
While specifics remain a mystery, the involvement of Walt Disney Imagineering (known for their creativity) and the contractor InterAmerica Stage Inc. (specialists in themed entertainment) hint at something more than routine maintenance.

New Flower Mosaic Unveiled at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
The queue for the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom has been enhanced with a beautiful floral mosaic that enriches the storytelling experience of the attraction. Positioned under the Frontierland train station, a circle of gray cobblestones features a central five-petaled lily design, matching the decoration on the nearby gate and emblematic of the attraction’s logo. This lily motif, symbolizing Tiana, is also found in various elements throughout the ride, including floating pink lilies in the water scenes.
The lily not only decorates the area but also holds significant meaning in connection to Princess Tiana’s story. It reflects the design of Tiana’s wedding crown and has been a recurring symbol in merchandise, such as the first Tiana’s Bayou Adventure pin. Additionally, the Tiana’s Foods water tower features lily-inspired decorations, tying the entire thematic presentation together.
This thoughtful installation of the lily mosaic at the queue entrance sets the tone for the attraction, linking visual beauty with narrative depth.
