You will be able to dive into the immersive world of ABC’s Once Upon a Time like never before with the new novel, Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen. You can check out the first look at Mike Del Mundo’s pages to Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen! Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen will be the first official graphic fiction tied to the hit series. The novel will take fans deep into the world of Fairy Tale Land, where the fabled storybook characters are real and the forces of good and evil are locked in an epic struggle!

Th novel’s plot was created by series writer & producer Daniel T. Thomsen and co-written by Corinna Bechko. This landmark release also fits into the continuity of Once Upon a Time and features artwork by Nimit Malavia, Vasilis Lolos, Mike Del Mundo, Mike Henderson and Michael Kaluta.

In Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen, the Evil Queen has captured the Huntsman’s heart forcing him to become her slave. This novel will explain the never-before-told tale behind their twisted relationship — and what happens when a good man is forced to do bad. When Regina cooks up yet another plan to capture Snow White — this time by working with a pack of power-hungry werewolves — the Huntsman must come face-to-face with his past — and an independent spirit in Red Riding Hood that just may match his own.

Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen will be available on September 4^th in book stores, comic shops, the Marvel Comics app, and online in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop. You can also catch ABC’s hit series Once Upon a Time on Sundays at 8:00 pm EST.

I don’t know about some of you out there, but I love ‘Ducktales’. I grew up on the cartoon on the Disney Afternoons in the early 1990’s, and played the games back on my Nintendo Gameboy for years and years. It was one of one my all time favorite games, so I couldn’t be more excited that the game is returning in ‘Ducktales: Remastered’. In honor of the game’s launch, iam8Bit and Capcom have partnered together for a pretty cool event in LA, which gives you a chance to dive into Uncle Scrooge’s Money Bin. Have you ever checked out this hidden gem? Most people book it down Main Street with their eyes on the castle. But if you take a moment to actually look around on Main Street, you should step inside Crystal Arts. For one thing, it’s Air Conditioned! It’s also never crowded, in fact, the day we stopped by last month, we had the entire store to ourselves for 20+ minutes!

Crystal Arts sells… well, crystal art! There are many fun little and large glass and crystal figurines – including many of your favorite Disney characters! It’s a very pretty store to walk through, and relatively safe for little ones to enter as well – because most pieces are displayed in glass cabinets.

Disney Cruise Line Delivers Disney Character Mural

Disney Cruise Line presented the Hospital General de Catalunya with a larger-than-life Disney character mural as part of the company’s commitment to give back to communities in ports of call around the world. The event celebrated the Disney Magic cruise ship’s return to Barcelona, where the ship will home port for a summer of cruises to the Mediterranean, while also saluting the 30th Anniversary of the Disney VoluntEARS program.

Featuring characters from The Little Mermaid, the mural was hand painted by more than 300 guests and crew members during a “PaintFest At Sea”, a Disney VoluntEARS program held in coordination with the non-profit, Foundation for Hospital Art, during the 14-night trans-Atlantic cruise from Galveston, TX to Barcelona.

As part of the “PaintFest At Sea,” crew members and guests volunteered, collectively giving nearly 500 hours of their time, to hand paint 72 pre-drawn and color-coded individual canvases that together comprised the full mural, which measures 9 feet high and 24 feet long (approximately 2.7 meters high and 7.2 meters long). Designed by Disney character artist Don “Ducky” Williams, the mural features characters from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, including Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian, the calypso crab. Hundreds of children annually will experience the mural as they pass through the corridor where it hangs in the Hospital General de Catalunya to receive treatment.

Sock Hop at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Downtown Disney

There will be a sock hop at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Downtown Disney as part of the Cars Masters weekend. This will be a ticketed event held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Splitsille Luxury Lanes is an upscale, retro-style bowling venue at Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Splitsville Luxury Lanes first opened at Downtown Disney in December 2012. Splitsville is a two-level venue featuring 30 lanes and more than 50,000 square feet of entertainment space with billiards, live entertainment, a balcony bar with sweeping views, and upscale dining options that cater to the entire family.

Precious Moments Doll Maker Linda Rick Coming to Disney World

Once Upon A Toy in the Downtown Disney Marketplace will welcome Linda this month, as she debuts some of the newest releases in her renowned doll collection. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect to find, June 13 – 17, including such fan favorites as classic Cinderella, Aurora and Belle, among others. Linda will be joining the team, June 14 – 16, for special appearances and signings throughout the day.

The Walt Disney Family Museum Celebrates Wonderlands and Where the Wild Things Are

The Walt Disney Family Museum is proud to present special exhibits and programs that celebrate a fantastical world of “Wild Things” and gothic wonderlands. As a special for the month of June, visitors to the museum can enjoy exclusive programs and events that provide a deeper look into the work of Maurice Sendak, children’s author, and the story of “Alice in Wonderland.”

Some of the special exhibits you can see include “Camille Rose Garcia: Down the Rabbit Hole,” which features 40 works by artist Garcia as well as ten “Alice in Wonderland” concept paintings by Mary Blair. The exhibits will be featured now through November 3, 2013 and have been organized by guest curator Tere Romo. The exhibits also celebrate the power of art to draw us into magical, inspiring worlds.

Another special exhibit for June explores “Where the Wild Things Are” through the special exhibit “Maurice Sendak: 50 Years, 50 Works, 50 Reasons.” It features 50 works, by the legendary author and illustrator, along with 50 statements from well-known individuals on the influence of Sendak’s work. This coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of his book, “Where the Wild Things Are.” A gallery talk, offered in addition to this special exhibit, will be held June 21-23. You can also enjoy screenings of the “Where the Wild Things Are” film throughout June, which can be seen daily at 11 am, 1:30 pm and 4 pm, except for Tuesdays.
