Share the Magic

The Disney Store announced the launch of it’s “Share the Magic” holiday campaign today! This pixie dust filled campaign includes 11 full days of Magical Friday (Black Friday) deals, as well as in-store events and special experiences.

“Every year we look for ways to help our Guests share the magic with their friends and families, and this holiday, it’s our turn to do the same,’ said Elissa Margolis, senior vice president of Disney Store North America. “We’ve gone beyond the traditional to create experiences that are sure to warm hearts and make this the most magical season yet.”

Recently in a Southern California Disney Store, unsuspecting shoppers were treated to a special surprise to celebrate the magic of the season! Every family in the store received a $100 Disney gift card for themselves, and another to share the magic with someone they love this holiday season! Check out the video below, it moved me to tears!

Beginning today, Friday November 20, 2015, the Disney Store is launching all of it’s magical deals in-store and online! An additional special deal will roll out when stores open on Thanksgiving night (11/26), and Magical Friday (11/27)*. Of course Cyber Monday (11/30) will see the release of even more deals! Deals will be available to everyone, any and everywhere with the Disney Store app and DisneyStore.com.

Disney Store has developed all new in-store events and festive cheer for this season, to create memorable and magical shopping experience for guests. The beloved tradition of  “unlocking” the Disney Store ceremony that takes place every morning will have a new holiday twist AND guests will be treated to an in-store event called “Disney Store Holiday Wishes.” During this new holiday tradition, a Cast Member will read a holiday storybook while children follow along with their own version of the book, how incredibly cute! This new mini storybook will include a detachable picture frame, that children can decorate for someone special. If all this doesn’t sound magical enough, the event will conclude with a special appearance from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the theater screen, where each child will have the chance to make a holiday wish by throwing a special coin into a wishing well. I have chills just thinking about this! The amazing “Disney Store Holiday Wishes” event will take place daily from Magical Friday (11/27) through Christmas Eve Mondays – Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m.

Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Coming to Disney Springs?

Lights

Hey there guys and gals it is I Anonymouse back with some Disney Gossip!

I have heard through the grapevine that Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is doing very well. So far almost every night has been packed to the gills. Also Disney has been having a hard time keeping the merchandise in stock. Chip shared last week a petition to save the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and I think he might have just done that. Here he goes getting a big head…

You might remember a month ago I reported how Disney might be moving the Osborne Lights to Epcot well it looks like I was half right. The half in which I am referring to is the part where Disney saves the lights but the part I got wrong was the location.

I have a friend who works for Disney World in the Disney Springs area. They told us that Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will be at Disney Springs beginning 2016.

I am unsure where in Disney Springs they are going to move it, but wouldn’t that be an awesome place for it? Now everyone can enjoy the lights free of charge and get an opportunity to pick up all the seasonal merchandise and yummy food!

Please keep in mind this is just gossip till Disney confirms things.

This all the Disney gossip I have for now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at anonymouse@chipandco.com or on my Facebook page

Disney/Pixar Inside Out Bluray Review

IO

Just in time for the Holidays is Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out Bluray!

Do you ever look at someone and wonder what’s going on inside their head? Disney-Pixar’s “Inside Out” takes an exciting and hilarious journey into the mind to find the answer. Based in Headquarters, the control center of 11-year-old Riley’s mind, five emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy. She strives to make sure Riley stays happy as she operates alongside fellow emotions Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. It’s “an instant classic,” raves Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times. Experience it like never before on Disney Blu-ray!

I had the pleasure of reviewing this movie after seeing it in the theaters 3 times. I will say this has to be one of the most creative movies of all time and if you have seen the movie already I bet you can hear the opening song in your head right now. If not here it is 😉

Along with the extensive line-up of bonus features including deleted scenes, the theatrical short film LAVA and “Paths to Pixar: The Women of Inside Out,” comes the all-new animated short “Riley’s First Date?”

Here are some fun facts from the movie, the next time you watch it see if you can see them all!

  • The background memories on shelves inside or outside of Headquarters are shots from the “Married Life” scene in “Up.”
  • As Riley and her parents trek to San Francisco, they come across birds on a telephone wire from production designer Ralph Eggleston’s 2000 short film “For the Birds.”
  • The globe in the Riley’s classroom has been used in all the “Toy Story” films.
  • One of Riley’s classmates is wearing a camo pattern made up of “Toy Story” characters.
  • Some of the background city cars of San Francisco have bumper stickers from “Cars.”
  • Dad’s company, Brang, is a nonsense word intended to sound like a startup that would fit in in the San Francisco tech scene.
  • A sign on a parking meter in San Francisco reads, “Quarters and Dollar Coins or Barter During Burning Man.”
  • As a tribute to the Walt Disney Family Museum, the filmmakers set Riley’s hockey rink in the exact spot the museum is located in San Francisco.

My review wouldn’t be complete without some Bonus Footage!

I really think Inside Out is going to bring a bunch of awards this year. It is funny, creative, and the kinda movie that will change the way you think. If you missed it in theaters or have been debating on picking this movie up, I promise you that if you do you won’t be disappointed!
