Hollywood Studios Dazzles with Festive Christmas Decor!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is all set to spread holiday cheer! The park has unveiled its stunning Christmas tree and a plethora of festive decorations, just in time for the return of Disney Jollywood Nights.
The centerpiece of the holiday display is the magnificent Christmas tree, adorned with silver garland, sparkling baubles, and vintage ornaments. A closer look reveals charming details like candy canes, bells, tiny trees, and Santa Claus ornaments. Golden and silver stars elegantly hold up the strands of garland, creating a truly magical sight.
Gertie the Dinosaur is also ready for the holiday season with her Santa hat, and an ornament ready to add to the tree! Giant colorful bauble ornaments float on the lake’s surface creating a beautiful festive touch to the water.
The holiday spirit extends beyond the Christmas tree. Silver garland and vintage medallions now grace the lampposts near Echo Lake, adding a touch of elegance to the area. The beloved family of pink poodles has returned to their spot in front of Hollywood & Vine, ready to spread joy.
The prancing deer have also made their comeback, adding a whimsical touch outside 50’s Prime Time Cafe. A trio of figures, dressed in candy cane-inspired attire and carrying candy cane parasols, create a delightful scene. Green and red-wrapped presents are scattered throughout the park, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Near The Hollywood Brown Derby, three candy cane-clad figures sit amidst a teacup, sugar cubes, and a giant spoon, creating a whimsical and sweet display. The garland, adorned with various ornaments including Santa Claus, baubles, and bows, adds a touch of classic Christmas charm.
Jollywood Nights Returns
To complete the holiday experience, Disney Jollywood Nights returns on November 9th. This after-hours event offers exclusive entertainment, character encounters, and festive treats.
Disney World’s new Lightning Lane Premier Pass, recently introduced as an upgraded skip-the-line option, has reached its maximum price range just in time for Thanksgiving 2024. Designed to allow guests one-time access to the Lightning Lane for each eligible attraction, this pass is exclusively available to Deluxe Resort guests and can be booked up to seven days before the start of their stay, extending through the length of their trip (up to 14 days).
The pass, initially priced between $129 and $449 plus tax, now hits its highest prices as crowds prepare to flood the parks for the Thanksgiving holiday. Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom will pay $199 per pass, while those headed to EPCOT will see a price of $249. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the pass is priced at $349, and Magic Kingdom tops the list at $449. Note Lightning Lane Premier Pass gives you one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in one park for one day, so you cannot park hop and use the pass at more than one park.
For comparison, Universal Orlando offers its Express Pass at a lower rate for Thanksgiving Day. The 2-park Express Pass, allowing one use per eligible attraction at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, is currently priced at $240 for Thanksgiving day. Universal also offers an Express Unlimited Pass, which is currently priced at $270 on Thanksgiving, allowing multiple uses per attraction.
Unlike Disney’s offering, Universal’s Express Pass is available to all guests regardless of where they’re staying, and while pricing fluctuates, the base price for the 2-park Express is $104.99, with Express Unlimited starting at $134.99. The price for Express Passes will fluctuate based on demand, with Thanksgiving 2023 seeing Express Pass Unlimited top $300.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Decks the Halls for the 2024 Holiday Season
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is embracing the festive spirit as holiday decorations begin to adorn the park. While the iconic giant Christmas tree has yet to make its grand entrance, other areas are already brimming with holiday cheer.
Restaurantosaurus, located in DinoLand U.S.A., has been transformed into a festive meet-and-greet location for Santa Claus. The patio is decked out with holiday décor, creating a whimsical backdrop for photos with the jolly old elf himself.
Guests can also capture magical memories at the new Merry Menagerie Photo Op. This enchanting display features life-sized artisan puppets of winter animals, including reindeer, penguins, and polar bears. The puppets interact with guests, creating a delightful and interactive experience for visitors of all ages.
Adding to the festive ambiance, the shops near the Tree of Life have also unveiled their holiday decorations. Guests can browse for unique gifts and souvenirs amidst twinkling lights, garlands, and festive displays.
While the park’s full holiday transformation is still underway, the arrival of these decorations signals the start of a festive season at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can expect to see more decorations and experiences popping up in the coming days, including the highly anticipated giant Christmas tree.

DinoLand may be going the way of the dinosaur soon thanks to the upcoming construction of the new Indiana Jones and Encanto themed area and attractions, but the land is going out in style with one last holiday season hurrah! DinoLand U.S.A. will be the home of the Santa Clause meet-and-greet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the Christmas Decorations have arrived ahead of the big man.
The meet-and-greet will be located on the patio of Restaurantosaurus, witht he area all decked out in a myriad of Christmas decorations, including a Christmas Tree and wreath, a snow man, and stockings that have been hung above Santa’s Chair with care, and swags and Christmas decorations which have been hung from the ceiling. A Dino Institute carpet has also been added to the area, further tying the theming to the land.
The decorations are festive and fit in with the theming in both Animal Kingdom and the land itself, with some rugged items like crates that are stamped with ‘decorations’ mixed with a dinosaur adorned with a Santa Hat. Even the window decorations are getting in on the DinoLand U.S.A. theming with various dinosaurs appearing alongside the snowmen and snowflakes that have been temporarily painted on.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Jolly Old Saint Nick himself at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party from November 12th to December 24th. Additional holiday celebrations that will be available at Animal Kingdom include:

The seating area near Woody’s Lunch Box has been undergoing a heavy renovation recently, with the entire seating area demolished back in September. While a temporary seating area was opened near the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction while work continued on the area, the dining around this fan-favorite quick service spot has been less than ideal.
Woody’s Lunch Box Fans it is time to rejoice, as we are happy to report that an additional seating area near the eatery has opened! Guests can find this new seating area adjacent to Woody’s Lunch Box, with the temporary seating area near Alien Swirling Saucers also open.
While the previous seating area at Woody’s Lunch Box continues to undergo renovations, this new seating area should help to ease congestion and allow guests to find a spot to sit and enjoy there
As Walt Disney World swiftly transitions from Halloween to the holiday season, Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios has already come alive with festive touches. Embracing the playful theme of guests being “shrunk” to the size of toys, the land features delightful holiday decor that blends perfectly with its immersive atmosphere.
