This annual tradition, a highlight of the holiday season at Walt Disney World, showcases a magnificent gingerbread creation that doubles as a charming marketplace.
The gingerbread house, meticulously crafted by the resort’s talented bakery team, is a feast for the senses. Adorned with white chocolate candy canes, edible snowflakes, sugar poinsettias, and an 88-pound white chocolate Santa Claus, the display is a testament to the artistry and dedication of the pastry chefs.
This year’s creation features over 10,000 pieces of gingerbread, baked with a staggering 1,050 pounds of honey, 800 pounds of flour, and 600 pounds of confectioners’ sugar. The decorations include an impressive 700 pounds of chocolate, adding a touch of decadence to the festive display.
While the basic structure of the gingerbread house remains consistent each year, new decorations and details are added to create a unique experience. This year’s highlights include character-themed trees adorning the porch and other areas, with one tree even resembling Figment in his holiday sweater. Donald Trump’s Re-election Could Bring His Animatronic Back to Center Stage at Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents
With Donald Trump securing a second term as President of the United States, his Audio-Animatronic figure at Disney’s Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom may soon return to its prominent position at the center of the stage, in keeping with the attraction’s tradition.
Since its debut on October 1, 1971, The Hall of Presidents has showcased animatronic likenesses of all U.S. presidents, with each new president added to the lineup as they take office. The attraction features an audio-visual presentation, with each president delivering a short speech—usually in their own voice—about their time in office. Since Bill Clinton’s presidency, each sitting president has recorded a special message for the show.
Trump’s animatronic first made its debut in 2017, after he was elected in 2016, and he recorded both an inaugural oath and a presidential speech for the attraction. As the only president in modern times to win two non-consecutive terms, Trump’s return to the White House raises questions about how Disney will handle his animatronic figure. It’s still unclear whether Disney will reuse his previous recordings or ask him to record new ones—or perhaps even modify the show’s format altogether.
Regardless of the audio update, it’s expected that Trump’s animatronic will be placed back in the central position of the stage, with President Joe Biden’s figure moved to one side. The attraction will likely close in early 2025 for the update, which will take considerably less time than Trump’s original addition in 2017, which took 11 months to complete.
This will mark the first time a figure has been moved back to the center stage after being relocated, a rare adjustment in the Hall of Presidents’ long history.
Walt Disney World has unveiled the details and pricing for Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition, the beloved scavenger hunt returning for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Inspired by the animated short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, this whimsical activity invites guests to help Olaf discover holiday traditions around EPCOT’s World Showcase, bringing a touch of Frozen magic to the festival experience.
For $9.99 plus tax, guests can purchase a scavenger hunt map and a set of stickers at select EPCOT locations, including Creations Shop and World Traveler. The map guides participants through World Showcase pavilions, where they search for small figures of Olaf, each carrying objects that represent different holiday customs from around the globe. Once found, guests place the corresponding tradition’s sticker on the map’s designated spot, creating a fun, interactive journey through the park’s holiday festivities.
When the hunt is complete—or whenever you’re ready—you can redeem the map for a special prize at Disney Traders, Creations Shop, or World Traveler. While the exact prize for this year’s expedition remains a surprise, last year’s reward was a set of Frozen-themed cookie cutters, a treat that delighted many Disney fans. As an added note, each guest is limited to five maps, with one prize per map, while supplies last.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, running from November 29 through December 30, offers even more seasonal entertainment beyond the scavenger hunt. Sponsored by AdventHealth, this year’s festival promises a variety of festive experiences, including:
Meet Santa Claus: Snap a heartwarming holiday photo with Santa, who’s visiting EPCOT to spread Christmas cheer.
JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season: Enjoy a vibrant show celebrating Christmas and Kwanzaa through Gospel, R&B, and holiday classics.

Candlelight Processional: Nightly from November 29 to December 30, experience the inspiring retelling of the Christmas story, narrated by a celebrity and accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, choir, and trumpeters at the America Gardens Theatre. Showtimes are at 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM.

Get ready to bring home some holiday cheer! The 2024 Holiday Popcorn Bucket has arrived at Magic Kingdom, and it’s packed with seasonal magic. This year’s design features Mickey and friends enjoying winter festivities in three charming scenes that wrap around the bucket. With its snowy white background and bright red handle and lid, it’s both eye-catching and practical—a perfect way to carry your popcorn as you stroll through the park.
The first scene sets a cozy tone as Mickey relaxes in an armchair, reading aloud while Goofy, dressed as Santa, and Pluto, decked out as a reindeer, join in the holiday fun. Daisy laughs as Donald, wearing a glowing red nose and antlers, entertains Minnie, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby by the fireplace, complete with stockings hung in classic holiday style. Festive wood print borders decorated with garlands, ornaments, and candy canes add a delightful touch to the scene.
In the second scene, the characters are gliding gracefully (or not-so-gracefully, in Goofy’s case) across an icy pond against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Everyone’s bundled up and enjoying the winter magic. In the final scene, Mickey and Minnie ride a lift above the slopes as Donald hauls a sleigh and Goofy tries his hand at skiing, hilariously off-balance as always.
This popcorn bucket, priced at $14.25, includes a serving of popcorn to enjoy right away. And for only $2.25, you can get refills throughout the day, making it the perfect treat and keepsake. So don’t miss out—grab this seasonal bucket and add a bit of Disney holiday magic to your collection!

In the show, Olaf and over 100 of his adorable snowgie friends get busy decorating Cinderella Castle with festive garlands, ornaments, and wreaths. Shortly after, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff join Olaf on stage, all dressed in their holiday best. The celebration reaches its magical peak as Elsa uses her ice powers to transform the castle into a glistening, crystallized palace, capturing the holiday spirit in a truly breathtaking display.

Disney Cruise Line Surprises a Marine Corps Veteran at Disneyland
In honor of National Veterans and Military Families Appreciation Month, Disney Cruise Line surprised U.S. Marine Corps Veteran David Negreros with a Disney Treasure cruise. Negreros, nominated by Goodwill of Orange County’s Tierney Center for Veteran Services, was recognized for his service at Camp Pendleton and in Afghanistan.
While visiting Disneyland park, David and his family enjoyed a ride on Haunted Mansion (which is currently decked out as the Haunted Mansion Holiday inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas”!) where they were then surprised with the news they would soon be sailing onboard the highly anticipated Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line’s new ship setting sail this December!
David and his family are sure to feel right at home onboard the ship, as the Disney Treasure brings stories from Disney Parks to life at sea for the first time. They will be among the first to experience venues inspired by the beloved attractions they visited at Disneyland Resort, such as the all-new Haunted Mansion Parlor!
The Haunted Mansion Parlor will have nostalgic tributes to Haunted Mansion attractions around the world and introduce guests to the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga. The Disney Treasure, where the spirit of adventure meets the daring tales of classic Disney films and Disney Parks attractions, begins inaugural sailings in December 2024.
David also participated in a commemorative flag retreat on Main Street, U.S.A., during his visit to the park. This ceremony is a valued tradition in the parks, honoring U.S. veterans for their bravery and courage. Disney has a strong legacy of supporting military service members and their families, dating all the way back to our founders Walt and Roy Disney’s own contributions to country during World War I.
Following his military service, he now devotes his work to helping other veterans as they transition out of the military through various veteran vocational programs and resource centers. We can’t wait for his family to set sail soon!
